She was walking around the store with a clipboard, very focused on what she was doing but stopped immediately to assist me. She was very helpful and took her time with me. Beware of Ulta's grossly unethical marketing techniques. After receiving several email solicitations from Ulta I caved in and accepted their "pre-approved" offer. Even though I have spent over 3 years rebuilding my credit and have a fair credit score, 670, which has given me access to auto financing and 3 major credit cards, I was denied. Being denied is no big deal, but hitting two credit files with inquiries is HUGE. I am aware of how credit offers work after being in finance business for 15 years. The legal term should have been "pre qualified Not sure how many people have had Ultas credit scam delivered into their inbox, but I am sure it is thousands. When I contacted corporate office they blamed the bank they sold my information to. :( If this happened to you there is recourse you can take. read more

This Ulta has a great layout. But, I felt I needed to review because every time I visit their restrooms are atrocious! I have a small child so often when I'm there I have to take her to the restroom. I honestly think they clean it once a month. As a beauty store I feel like it needs to be at a minimum tidy. There is hair and toilet paper everywhere. Please please remedy this. read more

Well, I seldom leave negative reviews for I know that people work really hard and sometimes unforeseen situations arise; however, the lack of professionalism and concern following the event can make a difference. I scheduled a makeup application a week prior to the appointment for a very special event and received several texts reminding me of the appointment. I arrived 15 minutes early, waited until the time scheduled and then asked about my appointment. The clerk said she would check; she got on the phone and seemed to be contacting the employee who was doing the makeup application. After 5 minutes, she informed me that he was " stuck in traffic". ( mind you we are not in an area that would have a lot of traffic) But, I said no problem. Thirty minutes after the scheduled appointment, someone else came to me and said that " he was sick and couldn't make it." Hhmm. Well, at this point it was too late for me to go anywhere else - the only thing she offered was that she would call the other store that is at least 30 minutes away and see if there was an availability. The end. I am not sure what else they could have done -but it seemed to me that the employee forgot and failed to call in and I, therefore, was lied to and I did not receive the services that were booked. A little more compassion and sincere concern could have been shown. I contacted Ulta and have not heard anything. Very disappointed read more

I visit many different Ulta locations throughout Louisiana. This location was nice to visit since it is not busy at all. Many things that are sold out elsewhere were available here. I went in for skin care this time. I was helped by a few different associates. They were all very nice and helpful. I was super happy to see the continuous setting spray by Morphe. Literally sold out everywhere! Great location to visit. It is pretty far outside of Lafayette but if your passing through on I10 stop by and blow your money like we all do! read more

* TERRIBLE* I went to this Ulta expecting great service. Great service was not what I was given. To begin with I had previously had an ombre hair color. I specifically told the stylist, which was also the manager coloring my hair what I had wanted, an all over universal color in mahogany, eggplant or somewhere close to those colors. After remaining in her chair for several hours, and then being left and forgotten about in the rinsing bowl for nearly and hour (I kid you not it was nearly 50 minutes) someone who was not the same stylist finally rinsed out my hair and sat me down in the chair. She would not allow me to see what she had done, only continously saying that she loved the color. When she finally turned me around to look at my hair, it was what she referred to as "a melt" color. Not at all what I had anticipated seeing or what I wanted. It was not mahogany but a blonde orange blorange color that she assured me would fade into pink. I didn't want or ask for pink hair. I leave there only to be told this hideous hair color would be 225.00 WITH a discount for having the whole process take so long. After being there 4 hours, I did not feel like arguing with her so I called her the next day to let her know how displeased I was with the color. She promised to make it right at no charge. I asked her several times if she would do her best to make it what I wanted originally. She assured me she would at no charge. Upon returning, she reassures me it will be done how I would like it, even showing me a color swatch of the color I wanted which I agreed was in the color family that I had desired. Fast forward to the end of the color session and my hair is a very bright, very radiant eye catching red. Red... again, not the color I had desired. Fine, apparently she does not know her colors, okay I can manage with this until I get it fixed, again I suppose. She then tells me it is going to be 117.00. I reminded her about our conversation that this was supposed to be a repair of the terrible hair I left with previously. I had to argue the fact that I was not going to pay for this as well because she had apparently forgotten about our previous conversation. Long story short, though I have made it lengthy already. I will not ever step foot in another Ulta salon again. I work in an office, and when the subject of hair arises I am very adamant in my opinion that no one else does the same. I would like to think I am a fairly lax person, but making a mistake not only once, but twice and not wanting to admit or own your mistake is a no-no in my book. So, no I do not recommend Ulta as the place you want to have your hair done. read more
