It's a pretty large restaurant and it also offers up a nice terrasse to make the most of the summer weather. Given how it's called Biere et Compagnie they should have a decent beer selection and that was indeed the case. The menu offered many different Quebec microbrews. If you don't like beer they also have other drinks to meet your needs. When it comes to food you can expect standard bar food. Mussels are supposed to be their specialty but not being a fan of them I went for a bison burger instead. It was well-seasoned and juicy and the portion was pretty big. That was followed by pouding chomeur. While I normally love this French Canadian dessert this one had way too much syrup on it to the point where the cake was swimming in it. It was overkill honestly. With regards to the service it could have been better. At times it was slow and some of the servers didn't seem to know the menu too well. We also had trouble getting our waitress' attention. Even the others couldn't be bothered to call her for us. As a whole it felt rather indifferent. Prices were what you would expect to pay. My bill was about $ 40 which was pretty reasonable. In all the experience was so so. If you're in that particular area of Terrebonne it is probably your best option because there didn't seem to be much else in the immediate vicinity but I probably wouldn't detour for it.

The reservations ended up being a good idea as the place was pretty full at 8:30 on a Friday. We were pleasantly surprised! The beer menu is extensive; pages and pages of imported beers grouped by country of origin....staggering for someone like me whose beer palate is limited to "I prefer white beer". Our waitress was great though, she asked what we usually drank and was quite knowledgeable. Her recommendation was delicious and I loved the attention to detail as each beer came out with its own logo glass and coaster (I'm a sucker for matchy-matchy!). I was even more surprised by the food menu (bison, caribou or ostrich burger anyone?) which had a lot of interesting choices. I had the bison burger - it was delicious! Well cooked, juicy and generous and served with fries and chips and a green salad. It definitely hit the spot! The place wasn't much in the way of décor but it wasn't a bad way to spend a Friday night!

It is not the food that you want to eat often unless you want to see your waistline expand at a rapid rate!! But it is happy calories! They do have an outdoor terrace- patio that wraps around the restaurant. This faces the front parking. Traffic can be a bit busy as the road is the main way up to La Plaine and St Lin so beware. However it's the restaurant that is probably the easiest for my 4.5 year old daughter (other than McDonald's that I try to avoid even more)! For Quebeckers however St Hubert is an institution in family dining or in casual eating for either lunch, dinner or a late night snack! Chicken and fries to a Quebecois is the basic equivalent to pasta and tomato sauce for an Italian. That is why there are so many chicken places in the province (St Hub, Au coq, Scores, Benny & PFK) to name a few. For this evening I ordered a chicken burger with caesar salad. To start it off the creamy coleslaw. The burger was decent but the Caesar salad was below average! My daughter was however quite happy with her chicken burger and fries. She had the ice cream cone to end it off so all was good! Service was pleasant and an OK experience although not my fave place! A word of warning ******avoid going on Friday or Saturday nights as these restaurants are popular with the masses or risk waiting in line!

Cora is the local home grown…read moresuccess story of one Cora Tsouflidou who decided to provide some more artistic fresh fruit flair to breakfast. Cora's is across Canada now and 130+ restaurants. Ben and Florentine has roughly 30+ in the province of Quebec and I believe restaurants in Ontario now as well. My issue with Cora's however is it's easily a $15-$20 breakfast. B&F is similar so you must be cautious as you can easily rack up the bill. The menu selection is large. Everything you can think of from eggs, omelettes , skillets, pancakes, crepes and then some lunch items such as burgers, salads and sandwiches. Also a very solid kids menu. I much prefer this menu than to Cora's. On my visit I had a classic eggs Benedict. My wife had a chorizo omelette 2 eggs rather than the usual 3. My Benny was perfect with lots of hollandanise sauce. She really enjoyed her omelette. We had a buy one regular and get another breakfast 50% off coupon. Fantastic that two large breakfasts with a breakfast smoothie and my coffee with tip was just under $30 with 15% tip and tax with the coupon. Otherwise it would have been high $37-38. Service was fantastic and the restaurant is modern in decor and clean. We eat breakfast out infrequently as I believe I'd rather spend $30-40 on lunch rather than eggs and toast.

The menu offers a wide variety of breakfast and brunch dishes with some really delicious looking breakfasts. I tried their portobello mushroom burger with goat cheese, very filling and delicious. Sided with seasoned french fries and small coleslaw/salad. The service was excellent and friendly, a nice addition was that they have English menus available for is non-francophones. Overall a nice little spot with a few locations across Quebec and Ontario.
