Not sure if we will ever go back especially on a Sunday. First of all they have kids eat free on Sunday so there was a huge party ahead of us that took forever to order and it took the store forever to fulfill their order. So we waited way too long for our food. While we waited we noticed that the sign says 1 meat plate $15.49 but $15.99 for brisket. That is already dumb to charge extra for brisket at a bbq place since it's the main thing. But the receipt told a different story. It said $15.99 for 1 meat and $1 extra for brisket so it was $16.99. I don't appreciate being charged more than the sign says even if it's just a $1. I would have given only 1 star if the food didn't taste fine. That was the only redeeming quality. read more

We're visiting from California for a week and decided to try this BBQ Pit. The store was so clean. The staff were very friendly and professional. Tyler I believe is who helped us with our order. He made excellent suggestions to help us with our order. I wish I would had taken photos of our food but our family ate so fast! I think my favorite was the brisket and the loaded baked potatoes! Savory, Smokey meat and the loaded baked potato on steroids! The flavor of the potato, and all the fresh tasting ingredients used tied everything together forming a perfect bite one after the other. Doug and his team catered a large veterans event I co-chaired, and they did an excellent job on the food and the service. All the food in the buffet was delicious, warm, and plentiful. The worst BBQ I have ever had. I bet the bbq plate at IHOP is far superior. Brisket had no flavor and tasted boiled, literally had no bark or smoke ring....just brown tough meat. The guy taking my order seemed like k was a nuisance while trying to place the order for what I wanted. I took the order to go and realized that my food was wrong. Delicious food, great service, and a very clean restaurant. Employees were very friendly and helpful. We ordered for carry-out, but will come back to dine in next time. This is a great addition to the west side of Longview. A big thank you to the owners for providing a quiet environment to eat. There was no blaring music like most restaurants, so people can actually have a conversation or use their lunch break to return phone calls, etc. We ordered chopped brisket and pulled pork with beans and fries for our sides. All were delicious. Their fries are really good fries, too. Other customers in the restaurant had ordered sandwiches, and they sure looked good. We'll try their sandwiches next time. The BBQ is good, the sides are amazing, the loaded nacho sausage is some of the best I've had but it's all so expensive. The LN sausage was over $30 for a 1/2 lb, while it's amazing, that's too much for me. I miss Dickeys bc I'm from DFW, but the prices are too high. This place deserves zero stars. They serve the tiniest portions and the food is usually cold. If you order to go they'll definitely forget something. Employees are slow and rude. I ordered today's special which is the chopped beef sandwich. I had no clue that you have to tell them you want it on a hamburger bun and I never heard them ask either. I got home and opened it up and the beef was dumped in a container with ONE piece of toast cut in half! I've never ordered a sandwich before that wasn't even put together. And I've never ordered a barbecue sandwich to be on toast, only on a bun. The first time I went a few weeks ago I got a good sandwich on a bun, this time it's just ridiculous. Very good for chain bbq restaurants. Chopped beef sandwich was great. Wife had chicken. She loved it and I thought it was great when I try's bite. Moist and not dry at all. The baked potato casserole is to die for. I've never had burnt ends but we noticed on the menu while eating that they have a burnt end sandwich. Will try next time for sure. read more
