I absolutely loved going to dr Dickinson when pregnant with my daughter they were always very helpful and accommodating with appointments they do give u three chances to reschedule appointments and then he won't see u anymore so that's pretty crappy as a pregnant woman ur going to get sick at random times and it just doesn't line up with your schedule unfortunately with my second pregnancy I was given misinformation by the manager, Jessica Rodriguez she told me they took my insurance so when I called to make an appointment, I was told that they have never taken my insurance and I was given misinformation this office. Definitely needs to know how to do their job and not give clients misinformation like they have absolutely poor communication and for an office manager to give that misinformation is highly unacceptable She needs to be retrained. read more

Beware!!! I had a planned C-section and it was horrible! Dr Dickinson sliced my bladder I fell into severe postpartum depression and I was still released from hospital. Emergency surgery proceeded but this whole situation could have been prevented if Dr would have taken different measures. He had zero concerns after this happened and I was referred over to a urologist who took care of me from there . I had an appointment at this office to have a colposcopy procedure. Due to a bad experience with a previous provider for an HSG, I was very nervous about the potential pain I might feel and asked the medical assistant if a local anesthetic could be applied. Unfortunately that was not a realistic option for this procedure but the NP Brianne Beggs came in to thoroughly explain the process, what she'd be doing, and also why a local anesthetic wasn't an option. She was very patient and genuinely cared about my concern. The procedure was painless as no biopsy was needed after all, but she made me feel at ease knowing if there was any pain I could stop at any point. It was so refreshing to feel heard and really appreciated the extra time she spent with me to help calm my nerves. read more

We love Dr. Dickinson and his staff. I saw Brianne regularly throughout my pregnancy and Dr. Dickinson delivered our daughter. I always felt that there was time for my questions, even on busy days in the office. Our daughter presented with heart decels during labor ( we still did not need a c-section--she had always had a lower heart rate throughout pregnancy), Dr. Dickinson was knowledgeable and calm, making sure that she was delivered safely and took the precaution of calling in additional medical staff to make sure she was healthy as soon as she was delivered. Clean office, personable and knowledgeable staff, same-day call backs, no issues with completing disability paperwork in a timely manner, and the NP (Brianne) took the time to sit down during our 6-week postpartum appointment to explain the impact of certain hormones that were still present and took the time to ask about physical healing and emotional well-being. Will absolutely encourage anyone looking for an OBGYN to be seen by Dr. Dickinson and his staff. read more

I was seen here with my first pregnancy. no issues, my current 2nd pregnancy HORRIBLE. these people are unprofessional and not understanding. Definitely only care about the money and not the actuall well being of their patients. I was having insurance issues that got resolved the day after being dropped due to rescheduling "too much" when I BEEN informed them about my issues with insurance. dropped me at 30 weeks pregnant scrambling to find new doctor, with anemic issues and an amniotic band. I was supposed to be referred to a high risk ultrasound tech to get it seen, referral never got sent out how they said . Workers do not do their job, they make signing papers for disability/work DIFFICULT. Rose, the front desk receptionist is the only nice and patient one, thank you to her for keeping it professional no matter how frustrating situations can be. Dickinson is never in office when need to be spoken with. these people are money hungry & do not care about your health. LOOK ELSEWHERE. read more

I went here until 32 weeks pregnant, so Dr. Dickinson did not deliver my baby however I wanted to share my experience. The lady at the front desk needs a new career. She was the absolute rudest front desk receptionist ever. I was extremely nervous during each appointment for my pregnancy because of my age and the fact I had a previous miscarriage. I'm sure many other new soon to be moms have a lot of emotions too. This lady in the front was soooooo rude. The first appointment I just thought she was having a bad day so I tried to be super friendly, didn't help, EVERY SINGLE appointment after she was always still super rude and unfriendly. This is a happy and scary time for a lot of women and we don't need to be greeted with the grumpy lady every other week. I ultimately made me leave was the treatment of another woman that I happen to witness. She came in for her first appointment however she was already a few months into her pregnancy, I'm not sure how far along, you couldnt really tell she was pregnant so I'm assuming maybe 4 months or so. They refused to see her because they said she had gone too long without treatment. She stated she was originally going to have an abortion because she was alone and didn't have any help but then was made aware of help for her so she really wanted to keep her baby. They still refused her (rudely) while she sat there balling her eyes out. she said she had waited 3 weeks for this appointment and where could she go now etc. They didn't offer her any advice or help on finding another doctor or clinic that would take her they just said sorry and good riddance. I couldn't beleive what I was witnessing. This woman decided to keep her baby which was such a blessing and now they were refusing her help. and if it was there policy then why book her appointment 3 weeks prior and not get all the info? It made me sick to my stomach and I had my last appointment at that office that day. I never saw dr. dickenson until 30 weeks anyway. That place is just a money machine does not care for women or babies. As a woman of color it also made me sad that not a single photo of a minority woman was on the walls in the hall or in any room. I had the amazing John Swanson, who shared an office with Dickinson, so I was grandfathered in to Dickinson's office when Swanson retired. I was very open minded and looking forward to getting to know and be cared for by this OB and office because I have a few friends who had nothing but very nice and good things to say... but man oh man, how I was completely WRONG. My very first appt with Dickinson was around 7 weeks pregnant. He used a handheld ultrasound and he couldn't find my baby, but thought he saw a heartbeat. I started to panic thinking how could you not find my baby? My last two babies I was able to see SOMETHING via ultrasound by 7 weeks, but he told me that's nothing to be worried about; maybe I was earlier that 7 weeks and maybe I recorded my last period wrong (which I know I didn't) so really I might be like 4 or 5 weeks instead of 7... I requested an in office vaginal ultrasound since I know Swanson had one that was used on me multiple times and I know he left it, but he told me that machine was "old as dirt" and didn't want to even try it; he instead referred me out to advanced medical imaging for a higher tech vaginal ultrasound that I had to wait about 3 weeks for an appt... allll the while trying not to worry about Dr. not finding the baby with the handheld ultrasound even though he "thought" he saw a heartbeat. Fast forward to my appt at advanced medical imaging, they tell me that I have a blighted ovum, which will definitely result in a miscarriage by the end of my first trimester. I was completely shocked and blind sighted by this, as Dickinson said he thought "he saw a fast flickering which would indicate a heartbeat", andd he reassured me this was something he was NOT worried about when I met with him. While I am not blaming him for my miscarriage, as that would be totally unfair- I totally get and understand how my body conceives is out of anyone's control other than God; I, however, AM blaming him and his office for my care after finding out about my blighted ovum. Once we knew I was going to miscarry, I originally wanted my body to miscarry naturally for personal reasons, but when I realized my body couldn't pass it naturally, I asked for a d&c and was denied multiple times. I started the miscarriage Jan 20, 2024- meaning I started to spot and bleed. By February 7th, I had started passing huge clots and copious amounts of blood. So I figured the miscarriage was complete... well it wasn't, it happened all over again the next day, and then 3 more times after that. I ended up in the ER twice in fear of bleeding out... I was bleeding through adult depend diapers every 30 minutes for about 2 hours while in excruciating abdominal pain that lasted about 4-5 hours even after bleeding slowed. After the second ER visit, I finally got an in person appointment with Dickinsons office, but not with Dickinson... they sent the nurse practitioner, Karley, to talk to me. I had previously asked for a D&C over the phone, and they told me that Dr. advised against it. I thought if I could talk to them in person, if they could see how much pain I was going through continuously, maybe, just maybe, they could help me finally put an end to this miscarriage..... only to be turned down and made to feel moronic about even asking for a D&C again since "my numbers were dropping and bloodwork looks fine". Not once did I get a physical exam in the office, not once did the actual doctor check in on me, not once did he order any other tests (like check for anemia when I bled for months on end or get another ultrasound to see if all the products of misconception was gone- which it wasn't bc I got an ultrasound done on my OWN and my lining was still thick and ill looking). This office did NOTHING but help my body prolong the miscarriage and make me feel stupid for asking for a d&c. It took me SIX WHOLE MONTHS to complete my miscarriage and Dr. Dickinson did nothing to help. They did offer an injection to make my body spontaneously miscarry again, but I didn't want that. My body had already tried that 5-6 times on its own and they told me too if I did the injection (which wasn't a plausible option for me since I care for two children at home while my husband works) I could still have products of misconception left. At about 4/5 months of bleeding, over the phone, I told the nurse practitioner, Karley, that if they didn't perform a D&C I was going to find another doctor who would. She then went on to tell me that my hcg went slightly up from the last hcg test (I was going to quest every other week) and performing a D&C would go against Dickinson's beliefs as if I am trying to abort a baby... THERE WAS NO BABY IN ME, IT WAS A BLIGHTED OVUM I JUST WANTED IT OVER WITH. I'm happy to report I am no longer with this office and my new OB validated my concerns and told me that if I were his patient at the time, he would of done a d&c after the first week of my body not being able to clear the miscarriage. read more

I came here very excited, thinking they were going to help me. The nurse's reaction to my condition was not appropriate or professional. They also scheduled me for a different reason instead for the one I called for. Then they made me go do blood work, without scheduling a follow up. They never called me to give me my results, I had to call them to receive my results, and when I did call, the lady on the phone said "Your results are in and your fine, goodbye". I had to call back and make a follow up myself, then they called me on my phone and started asking me questions about my condition-as if they already didn't have my file. I gave them a second chance and they gave me medication for my condition. I was reading the information on the medication, in the instructions it clearly stated not to take for the condition I had! Overall, extremely unprofessional, they do not keep good records, and would not recommend. read more

The staff at this office is amazing, helpful, responsive, friendly, and everything you could want at a doctor's office. I was disappointed, though, when I received a mailer from Dr. Wade Dickinson and his office headed "Just because you're a mom doesn't mean you have to look like one." This is a blatant slap in the face to any new mom, and takes advantage of a vulnerable patient population. The back of the mailer was full of listed services to apparently help me not look like a mom, including botox and lip plumping and several other things I would typically not associate with an OB. It made me feel as though Dr. Dickinson is looking to make a dollar off of me in any way he can, at the expense of demeaning marketing material and losing my respect. As for my personal experience with my c-section with Dr. Dickinson, the procedure went well and I am beyond grateful for my healthy baby boy. My scar healed significantly worse than my first c-section (performed by a different doctor), and Dr. Dickinson did not see me himself at any follow up appointment at his office after the procedure. I intended to ask him how my uterus had healed from my first c-section, and he was never around to ask the question to. He was nice in person, but remembered very little about me from each appointment to the next. I recognize doctors are busy and tired. I personally consider myself to be an easy to please patient. This particular marketing experience and the lack of personal relationship in my experience with Dr. Dickinson made me feel compelled to leave this less than positive rating which feels very out of character. I think that having an OB you trust and connect with through the experience of bringing your baby into this world is extremely important, and I would not recommend Dr. Dickinson. read more

I never once saw Dr. Dickinson. I was always sent to the NP, Jean, who is very nice but *sigh* she didn't help me get to the bottom of my female problems. I came in several times saying that something was wrong gynecologically(painful cycles, short cycles, and couldn't conceive) and she dismissed it by prescribing me birth control. I told her that the BC wasn't helping and again, I was given BC, just a different brand. I was not reacting well to the BC, in fact, it made my pain worse but she insisted I keep taking it. Her logic was that BC would help me trick my body and once I went off it I would get pregnant spontaneously. Tests came back normal so she suggested an HSG but that would not have detected what I really had. What she did not think of, is that I could have had endometriosis. I did. I had stage 4 endometriosis, polyps, and a mild case of pcos when I went to another doctor for an opinion as to why I wasn't conceiving. This other doctor I went to specialized in laparascopies which are the only way of finding endo. I had a laparascopy with this other doctor and the disease was very advanced at this stage and BAD. I cried because I finally had an answer! What stage would I have been if that would have been brought up years ago? Stage 1? Stage 2? STAGE 4 IS THE WORST OF THEM ALL! Like I said, I really like Jean, and the staff was great I just feel like my needs were not met as a patient there to rule out all possible causes. She's knowledgable on alot of subjects but prescribing BC as a cure all for me was not what I wanted(I needed answers) and let me tell you endometriosis is a horrible female disease to live with. It's not her fault because not every doctor knows about endometriosis and most do like she did by prescribing lots of birth control which doesn't work for everyone. I only stayed with this practice so long because I loved Jean and thought she was right about nothing being wrong. I was very naive. I had been going to this practice for years for my annual. I didn't think that I could have had endometriosis. It NEVER crossed my mind. Sometimes I just want to go down to the office and tell her so that she can know that I still love her but would have appreciated a more thorough look. If she had discovered it was endo I would have been happy staying with her and we could have gone over treatment options. So if you want to go to Wade Dickinson you can, but understand that you need to be firm and insist that they do everything they possibly can to help. You're paying for it and I should have spoken up and been more persistent with what should have been done. I'm glad I saw that other doctor. read more

I don't have a bad thing to say about this office. They have been nothing but helpful to me as I was having some "issues". They quickly resolved it and Dr. Dickinson was very reassuring and confidant in my surgery. All of his NP's are so nice and so helpful. Many of times I have sat there crying and they were very sympathetic to my feelings and concerns. They have moved a little further our than I would I like, but when you're that comfortable with an OBGYN and his staff, you have to follow them. I highly recommend this office. read more

As the spouse of a patient at Dr. Dickinson's practice, I'm very appreciative, not only of the exceptional care given to my wife, but also the welcomed support given to me. Earlier this year she carried twins to term, early in her pregnancy she faced complications that prompted many calls to the office from me to help us navigate through this challenging time. With every call I personally made, I always received a call back within a reasonable amount of time. When we would have to schedule or reschedule appointments for whatever reason, the staff was always patient and worked around our schedules. When I'd accompany my wife to office visits, I always felt welcomed and made part of discussion for her medical care. Highly recommend this medical practice and very glad she decided to become a patient of Dr. Dickinson before this recent pregnancy. read more

I have been his patient for over a decade, and have always felt comfortable and confident with him as my OBGYN, and trust him fully with my medical care. He delivered both of my children, and he and his staff helped me through other procedures with my healthiest interest at heart. Agree with the other reviewer. Loved dr Dickinson and his staff, especially jean. She was amazing!! The office staff/manager dropped the ball on care I was to receive. I wanted to get the nova sure procedure and had the preop ultrasound with the knowledge I would hear from the office very soon. Well two weeks later I hadn't heard from them and called to follow up. I was told my chart was "sitting on the doctors desk" for review. Couple weeks later, still no call. Called back, staff stated the doctor was in and out on vacation(June 2012), ok, I can understand that. After a couple more weeks of no call from the office I got the picture. With planning our cross country move I dismissed it, but then suddenly received the much anticipated phone call from the elusive manager/scheduler. They said they had the surgery date planned for such and such date ( two days before plane out of Fresno). I hadn't even spoken to Dr. Dickinson yet!! Ended up canceling due to that date too close to my move (complications? Then what?) Very disappointed in this office dropping the ball with this.
