However, I usually only have a day or 2 notice or sometimes require a walk-in, but Crystal is a great men's stylist in high demand. I was relieved when I called Tuesday afternoon because I was able to make an appointment for Thursday with Raena, a new stylist under Crystal's wing. She did a fantastic job! At the end, Crystal made sure to come check her work and share her tips of the trade so Raena was able to bring it to perfection with a few more snips. She's a talented stylist and fast learner who I recommend! Details: After 40 minutes I was just as satisfied with my fade cut and beard trim as ever and the $15.00 price can't be beat so I tipped $20 cash on top! FYI cost of quality comparison: In Denver: I pay $35 haircut + $25 for straight razor shave plus tip for 60-90 minute appointment. So, I tell the guy how I want my hair. He seems to understand and then he wets some of my hair and starts with a brush. I see the brush when he puts it down: "Who's hair is in that brush?" "A couple of guys. Barbers are busy" "Let's not do that." So, he starts cleaning. and while he's doing that I realize that it is not standard practice there and I left. In the corner of his window there was a tiny open/closed sign that said closed on the outside that you can't even see on the outside, and I saw that didn't think much of it because there's plenty of places that forget to show the open on the outside. And obviously like I said, according to everywhere online and according to his door that he is open and there's a lot of people getting a haircut. So he keeps getting more irritated as people walk in and none of us can figure out what is going on. It's finally my turn to get my haircut and one more person walks in and he flips out, starts cussing out, and he grabs the open sign, shoves it in my face and starts yelling the F bomb at me telling us that on the last Friday of the month he likes to take a four-day weekend. Where that is nowhere to be found online or in a store that he's closed on that day and he didn't lock his door and he's still cutting people's hair. And he treated me and other people like total trash because he somehow expected us just to know that the last Friday of the month he likes to take off. Plus, he kind of half assed my haircut and didn't do that well with the job. I do not recommend taking anyone here to get their haircut because the barber is a terrible person to treat people like he treated me and other people.

I had a bit of a wait (both barbers were cutting hair and there was another person in-front of me), so I decided to practice my pool skills. After passing the time (I honestly don't know how long it was because I was doing something enjoyable instead of reading the barbershop magazines), I got called up. Both of the barbers were young and wearing the "uniform" of the place - button up, vest, and bow-tie. My barber was a very calm, slow talking and meticulous. I get a fade on the sides starting at a zero and going to a two, sometimes starting at a subzero, with a bit taken off the top for a bit more modern "professional" cut. When I told him this, he asked what other options I'd like and...to be honest, I didn't know a word he was saying. This is because they are a licensed barbershop and, well, they really know how to cut hair! The haircut experience was great and he definitely took his time. This was one of the best fades I've ever received - and I've gotten some pretty good barbers in San Antonio and Chicago. This is definitely one of the best fades/cuts in the area, hands down. For the price ($15 for a cut when I went), the environment (super cool pool tables and other lounge things to do), and the quality of the cut...you really can't beat this place. The only other places in town that I trust to cut my hair are the people at Armando's and Dom at Rocco's. Since I liked the environment so much, and the cut can't be beat, I'm switching my business to this shop.
