Really disappointed in the customer service here. Had one associate that was very helpful in getting some shoes that I was looking for, but then was left with another associate (not sure of his name, but he has a more muscular build, with a buzz cut and earrings) who left for twenty five minutes and never came back. He passed me a couple of times with a box of shoes, but avoided eye contact, and we eventually left. I'm not angry or anything, and I don't mean to be a Karen, but just disappointed that customer service associates don't have just a little bit more training before going out on the floor. I was looking for a particular golf shirt for Father's Day that I had seen in another store, but not in the size I needed so I called Dick's in American Fork. Fortunately Andrew answered. I thought it would be a shot in the dark that 1) They would have it qnd 2) Someone would be willing to look for it. But Andrew found it and said he would put it at the front for me. When I arrived, there were people in the front of the store there to help me look for another item I ended up needing. Seems like so many places now don't have the qualified staff to care, or available to help, but Dick's was great!! I will gladly go back there.... This store has a great selection of just about any type of sporting item you could imagine or ever want. The store is divided my the sports-so you can easily find what you're looking for. If you need assistance, there are plenty of staff members around that are willing to help. Tons of parking, very visible from the freeway. It's kind of tucked away from the main road, but keep going, you'll find it! read more

This is the second time I've had issues with dicks customer service. We are a huge sports buying family. I must have dropped at least over 1K here this year alone. I love the convenience of how close it is to our house. However, with big prices and awful customer service consider going elsewhere. I know I will. I came in today to purchase a ton of baseball stuff. Despite the website claiming they priced matched, Ryan our associate, said they did not match Big 5 sporting goods store. When I asked why, Ryan couldn't give me an answer. He just arrogantly said "we just don't." When I pressed he asked someone else, he found out they did. I took the time to research and price match and come here because they are convenient. When I pulled up the price match, he said he still couldn't cause he can't distinguish if it's a "flash sale or not." I'm happy to take my business elsewhere. read more

Considering prices are higher than Amazon most of the time the only reason I will go into the store going forward is to find the right size shoe then buy it elsewhere online. Received very good service from the employee in the bike department but then tried to buy some other items and that was terrible. There were two employees helping customers. We waited in line for 5 minutes. I have no clue what was going on but the fact that neither employee acknowledged us or called for someone else to come help was extremely frustrating. It did not look like they were any closer to wrapping up whatever issue these customers had, so we left without buying these other items. read more

literally got to dicks at 9 just to pick up some ski pants. their Google says they're open until 11 but when I got there they closed at 9. I figured I would call to just pick it up cause it's not that big of a deal since I wouldn't be shopping. called 5 times and they hung up on me. the last time, they finally answered and said they couldn't deliver it to me bc their boss wouldn't like it and they could get in trouble. and so i didn't get my ski pants that i already paid for. terrible customer service! it's been covid-19 for a year, it isn't that hard to update your stores hours on Google and it's not hard to deliver a pair of ski pants at closing time. ridiculous. had i known when they closed, i would've been there earlier. read more

Everytime I come here no one ask if I need help finding anything and the store is extremely slow. I usually see 2-3 employees but they don't really give you great costumer service. My next problem is they never have sizes of anything. Recently went to get my husband sweat pants for either Nike, Under Armor, or ect! I really wasn't picky about what brand just needing sweat pants that were warm. Every single brand of warm sweat pants all sold out of size large. Had some other sizes but no large... very popular size for men so they should have more. So looks like they could use some work with there stocking and costumer service. read more

The customer service at this store is horrible. I was looking for compression socks and asked MULTIPLE people. None of them even knew if they had them, they were on their phones and never even made an effort to help me even look. Their response was "I don't know I feel like I have seen them before". It wasn't even busy so they very easily could have taken a couple minutes to help me find them. I understand not knowing where product is, but when I ask MULTIPLE employees for help and not one person helped me is garbage. You guys need to work on your customer service big time. read more

This store is my favorite to go to. It is always so clean and put together very nicely. I am always impressed with their friendly staff. In particular, Sales Associate Tyson provides excellent customer service. The store did not have what I went there for. But that is not the reason for my poor review. On the way out of the store, I saw a display of socks and slippers. Most of them are labeled at $12:99. Some on the bottom of the rack had higher prices in the $20 range. I picked a pair of slippers from the $12.99 spot and took them to the checkout, where I was charged $34.99 for them. I went ahead and paid for it, thinking I had probably not seen the proper label. Upon going back, I found that there was not a single label at that price. I went back to the cash register to express my disappointment, and received no satisfaction whatsoever. Finally the woman at the cash register said she would have someone change the label. Oh boy. The man who checked me out had conveniently stepped aside. This was a bad enough experience to make me not want to come back here again. read more

Bought a pair of Nike's from them. Wore them for 5 days in the office and around home, nowhere with extreme conditions and the sole gave out. Obviously defective. I went to take them back and they said there was nothing they could do and I had to work with Nike. If Dicks is going to charge the same price as Nordstrom but not have the same return policy, there is no point to ever buy from Dicks again. They have no problem being the middleman when it comes to taking your money but will have no part of being the middleman when it comes to helping their customers. Because so many other stores will protect their customers, I have no reason to ever shop at dicks ever again. When they're bankrupt in 5 years, they better not say their customers didn't warn them that they weren't keeping up with their competitors. read more

Super disappointed w my experience here today. Went in to buy golf clubs. As we head in, no greeting from the staff that was walking around. We head to the golf section and browse their selection for about 10 minutes without a single staff member approaching us. We walk to the putters and use their little green to pass the time. At this point, we've made eye contact w several staff members who turn and head the other way, or quickly look down and go back to adjusting product on the shelf. Now, I was dressed to hit the gym after, so I'm in a sleeveless shirt and shorts, perhaps that made their staff think I couldn't be interested in purchasing golf clubs, but after 15 minutes of being ignored we decide to leave. As we walk out, the girl behind the counter says, "Have a nice day." to which my dad responds, "well, you guys just lost a sale, we were looking to buy today." She just laughs at him, and we walk out. I don't get what was going on with their staff today, but Dick's has lost a customer after this one. read more

had about a hundred dollars worth of fishing items take them up front the only girl checking is helping a guy who is returning an opened basketball hoop after 10 minutes of waiting and watching that poor girl call on her radio several times I took my items back. On the way theres two workers standing there shooting the bull and I ask them if they know how to check? I said that little gal could sure use some help. Put items back and left. I ordered a kayak at Dick's to use this summer! It was a special order that had to be shipped in because they didn't have any in the store. It was supposed to have come in two weeks, but it ended up being put on back order, which means they don't know when it was coming in. It could take 2 weeks to 7 weeks for it to come in, meaning we wouldn't have been able to use this kayak for the summer. Tyson and Jeff, the managers, took care of us. They let us come in and find another kayak to trade for the one we originally ordered. They also gave us $100 off this kayak for the inconvenience. We ended up paying $227 for a $350 kayak! They were really understanding and super nice about everything! I would highly recommend this Dick's Sporting Goods to anyone! They helped us put the kayak on our car and made sure we were happy!
