I had an Uber Eats delivery 5min before closing and had no idea I was pressed for time. The order was two fishing rods and string. I have no clue about rods but the staff was able to allow me to still shop. I ran into an associate Sean and he went on the hunt with me! He found everything. We ran into one rod not having a price tag and he went above and beyond to price it for me to scan! I was able to pay with Briana, while the managers held the door open for me!! It was either this one or commack that's closest to me. I know the store in commack is super small, so I figured my sneaker selection would be minimal. I walk in there knowing exactly what I wanted - running shoes to train for a half. I walk up to a couple employees and as if anyones familiar with running shoes, the man asks me what he can help me with.. so I tell him I'm interested in Brooks. His name is Alex. He was a great sales associate. He gave me all the facts about Brooks, that I didn't know. He was quick to get sizes that I needed. He was super helpful. His recommendations were on point. He recommended the Glycerin which is the last shoe that I tried on and that's what I ended up getting. They didn't have colors that I particularly wanted, so he ended up ordering it online for me. What I did notice was that he asked if I wanted to type in my own credit card information and stepped away, so professional and never had that done to me before. I hope he gets commission off of my sale online, if not - I hope his manager sees this and congratulates him on his customer service. read more

Phase 2 of reopening longisland finally allowed it to reopen. Just went earlier today. They really have limited options (practically nothing in terms of gym equipment). It is likely the store sold out of everything through online sales. I really hope they bring back more home gym equipment. Underwhelming in-store shopping experience. I'm sure it will get better. Always enjoyed the variety of options here. They should have remained closed for another week or two in order to replenish their inventory. read more

I went there looking for some shoes and the first so called sales person was annoyed that I asked him a few questions. He got me a pair of shoes and then disappeared so I could not ask him about another pair. When I went to the other person in the department, first I had to interrupt her texting, she was annoyed I asked her about the size availability of a pair of shoes. She was extremely unhelpful and rude. I will never be going to that store again. I recommend everyone do the same. read more

Finally I don't have to drive to Smithaven Mall for my sporting needs, this location is finally open. Same outline and concept as pretty much all Dicks. 2 floors of anything outdoors (and even indoors). I came to purchase ping pong paddles which were pricier than I thought. When in store shopping its all the same nothing really on the freshwater side. -2 stars for the lack of restocked items that haven't been restocked in years +3 stars for location and mostly friendly staff.
