Re. Sole elliptical machine ordered from store 301 in Canton, GA Paid for delivery and assembly. Elliptical machine was not assembled correctly: 1) Handles were installed upside down. 2) Power cable was run underneath machine instead of through the frame and will become worn with use as the machine is actually resting on top of the cable. 3) This incorrectly installed cable also makes the machine base unstable and renders the machine unusable due to the instability. 4) Rear panel was not attached and fell off on first use. 5) Parts fell off on first use. 6) The adjusting feet on the bottom of the frame are missing, so the frame actually rests on the ground rather than on the feet it was supposed to rest on. 7) Re. the point about the adjusting feet, there were no spare or loose parts left by the assemblers, so I must assume that they took any leftover parts with them to cover up their incompetence. After paying over $1000 for a machine and additional fees for assembly, this is not acceptable. The Assembly personnel were incompetent, resulting in these issues and the unusable condition of the machine. The two assembly personnel arrived at 5PM and spent 4 hours incorrectly assembling the machine, leaving shortly after 9PM. That said, I would advise people to steer clear of Dick's incompetent assemblers and pass on the offer of equipment assembly when purchasing equipment from this retailer. Assemble it yourself and avoid the headaches and being left with a machine that is not usable. To be honest, this is the first time I have ordered assembled equipment and it was delivered unassembled to the house. Most retailers have staff dedicated to the assembly of items, which are assembled in the store and delivered to the house in an assembled state. This deficient approach to the assembly of customer's orders baffles me. EDIT 11 Feb 2025: We have been in contact with both Dick's Sporting Goods customer service and Sole Fitness warranty service but this issue still has not been resolved. Absolutely the worst customer service you can ever experience in your entire life 1.5 hours to purchase a firearm after you picked it out I was the only person purchasing during this entire process. The girl behind the counter may be spoke 5 words totally rude totally unprofessional She had no idea what she was doing 2 other people came through department while I was waiting and snickered and advised welcome to dicks in Canton. I'm really happy with Hunter and Colleen for taking care of a problem that I had with a large purchase. I bought a bike that needed a tune up, and had some minor damage. They got the bike in working order and offered a discount. I really appreciated that step, because I was initially quite frustrated with the service. Some advice to the store. Cross train more of your employees to other departments so that you don't have to rely on just one part time person, which in this case had called out and wasn't due back for a few days. That has to be costing them some business. They have clearance racks in almost every department so if you have time you can score some great deals. I love their Adidas section. I also bought some gear for my softball team here at a decent price. Not as cheap as Amazon, but local, so that counts for something. This store is clean and well organized. They also have a decent rewards program that is free to sign up for. read more

I had a great experience with the cashier! She was very knowledgeable and helpful even though the store was busy.

It's been about maybe a week or two since I've been to Dick's Sporting Goods. And unfortunately I lost my receipt and don't know which one I was at. However I cannot get this man's name out of my head because he helped us so much and made our experience amazing!!! The employee named Earl helped me and my Significant other with kayaks. We had no clue how to kayak nor have we ever been. Earl described each kayak to us in detail told us the best places to go and even how to do it. Not to mention he was supposed to leave at 5:00 PM and stayed almost an entire hour over, possibly more,just to help us (ON MEMORIAL DAY). And he didn't even stop at just helping us choose which one to get he also helped us carry them to the truck and helped at checkout. His customer service and personality is out of this world. We just want to say thank you from the bottom of our hearts because this would've never happen without your expertise and amazing help overall!!! Hopefully we'll see you on the water soon and can thank you even more!!!! Have to send a huge thank you to Kevin in the Bike department. My husband and I went looking to buy bikes on Friday and really had no idea where to start. Kevin was super friendly and immediately saw our "deer In headlights" look when we got there. He was extremely knowledgeable and helpful in showing us different kinds of bikes. Most importantly he was patient and not pushy to just sell us the most expensive bike. We also had our 3 year old with us who he was patient with while she also got to ride some bikes! Love Dicks! Especially since they built one in Canton, instead of having to hike to Barrett. Having two boys this is a haven for us. We have purchased clothes, shoes, sporting goods (fishing, baseball, outdoor) and have been impressed with the quality as well as price. I'm not saying this is the cheapest place to shop but you can find a really great sale! They also offer a reward program which is great when you need to make a large purchase... baseball bats ARE NOT cheap ;-) read more

Ehhh. Pretty disappointed with the level of service at this store. Seems to have gone down hill. My husband and I with our 2 children went in on January 19th to get some shopping done. They were out of men's larges In all of the Nike dept and also didn't have a small for my son in anything he liked. Not once were we asked if we needed help with anything or even greeted especially when a couple of the workers were standing feet away from us while we shopped. Went to the shoe dept but had to track down an associate so he could go get the shoe associate from the back. My husband was able to find his size but then not even 5 minutes later when I wanted to try on shoes we had to track down another employee so they could go get the same associate once again from the back of the store. I tried on 4-5 different shoes but they didn't have a single one in my size. We ended up spending over $500 which when leaving disappoints me simply because of the lack of service. We would have actually spent more had they had even half the stuff we looked at in our sizes. Probably won't be back to this location. read more

Called store on July 22, 2020 to inquire on Flourocarbon fishing line. "Liam" the store associate claimed he checked and "Oh yea, we have loads of that".... So I drove 12 miles one way and when I got to the store they did not have any of that line, very disappointed. I found Liam and ask him where all that "loads" was and he bald faced lied to me ...."well I guess we sold it all" yea right..... I had an extremely bad experience at this Dick's Sporting Goods location. I purchased merchandise at a different Dicks store that was damaged. I attempted to return it to the Canton store. The cashier was nice but couldn't do the return and called over her manager Ophelia. Ophelia was EXTREMELY rude! She looked at the merchandise, said it was damaged and worn, threw it back on the counter and said she couldn't return it. I bought it 2 days ago for a birthday gift. I explained it was not my fault that someone put out damaged merchandise to be purchased. Again, I received the same nasty attitude like I was trying to scam someone! I asked for her manager. He was very professional and seemed to believe my story. He apologized but said it would be best to return it to the store in which it was purchased. Not the best scenario but I understood where he was coming from. I will never shop at a Dicks Sporting Goods store again!! They should really consider the type of personnel they put in managerial positions!! read more
