This store always has a great selection I'm looking for, it's worth the drive a couple towns over. DICK'S Sporting Goods always is extremely clean, shine and well organized. Really good store. Good selection of products for women and men, can online order at store if a size is out, customer friendly with great service. Most items are too expensive w/limited discounted items. The staff were so kind and helpful, had a great interaction.They were very accommodating and this store has a nice variety of sports items. Even the officer guarding the store was ready to help me find an item. The staff were easy to find, which is a plus. The only downside was it took forever to get an answer about whether or not they carried the item I was looking for. Not a huge deal, just not getting a perfect score. Everything was laid out orderly for the tent sale all lines moved quickly. I'd still recommend this store though.But I give this store Four , cause I believe you'll be able better in the future! I walked the entire length of the store without an employee even acknowledging me. It was on the way back, when I was coming back to the registers, when a woman asked if I needed help. When I was in line there were two cashiers, but then one of them left for some reason instead of taking me to keep the line moving. And then there were three of us in line but still only the one cashier; she didn't call anyone to help. On the upside, I expected to pay $36 for my gloves and they only cost $23, which was an unexpected and very pleasant surprise. read more

I want to explain my bad experience with this store, I purchased a sneaker online and did not receive my order, where it was claimed by the delivery man from the company Doordasher, that the delivery was not made because he was unable to communicate with me, but in no way At that moment I received some kind of call or message about the delivery, I was following the delivery using the link that Dicks provided me, where it said that my order would be delivered at around 7:00pm, to my surprise my order did not arrive and after updating the link the information was already returned to the store, I went to the store the next day and was informed that no order had been returned and that they could not help me because the purchase was made online, I called customer service and the attendant informed me that I was going to make the refund, but I didn't receive any confirmation email, I waited 5 days, I got in touch via chat and the attendant informed me that the refund had already been made via gift card, and I didn't make any refund request through gift card, in short, he asked me to wait 48 hours for the responsible department to check my problem and so far nothing has been resolved. read more

It's so nice to have a Dick's in the city finally. They really rolled out the red carpet for the opening weekend. Well staffed with a plenty of friendly people to help you shop. I was able to get some new sportswear for the same price I would pay anywhere else (I wasn't expecting clearance items the first day it was open) but was kind of disappointed by their women's outdoor gear. They had plenty of men's Columbia gear but really nothing for women. Anyway, the store itself is massive, clean, and comprehensive. Gotta be one of the biggest Dick's I've ever seen! Seriously, one could get lost in this stadium sized sporting goods store. They've got everything you could imagine from shoes to equipment to apparel and then some. The only criticism I have is that the staff doesn't seem to cover all the corners of the massive place. I probably searched for some assistance for about 10 minutes before I was able to find someone to get me a different size. Sometimes some stores go overboard in their greetings, some even employ greeters, have to say never thought that would be a job, and others just flat out don't seem to even know you walked in. This Dick's falls in the last category. Not one person said hello, and no one inquired if I needed assistance either. This location is definitely geared towards clothing and accessories, there wasn't much in equipment. I was looking for an exercise bike and they do have many online, I wanted to see them. When it comes to certain items, I'm more of a touchy/feely must see it type. I wanted to check sizing and comfort. Let me save you the trip here if you're looking to compare, they only had one on display, and judging by the sale price when they move that one out, I doubt that they'll bring in any more, but then again there was no one to ask. Unhappy, rude, don't want to be there kind of workers......They didn't have our order because we didn't pick it up on time?! It was supposedly delivered and was held for 2 days. Wow! Best customer service I've ever experienced! Talk about turning a frown upside down. I had stopped in on my way home to pick up a driving range mat for a golf simulator I'm building. The mat absolutely sucked and ripped apart after only a couple swings...Hey, it happens! Sometimes products suck...But what matters is how the company handles it. From online support to the store manager Paige they went above and beyond my expectations. Ironically, I only messaged them to let them know the product wasn't that great. Awful experience today. Dicks currently has a price match promotion going on right now. I went to purchase boxing headgear, normally $35 but $12 on Amazon. I went to the store, grabbed 2 headgears, and went to check out. The store manager then proceeded to deny the price match because Amazon was selling too cheap. There was literally a price match sign next to the register, and he refused to price match because of the price. Absolutely disgusting. It's Dicks. It's a giant warehouse sports store. They have a bunch of sporting goods. I bought binoculars here. The staff is very helpful. The binoculars section is kind of hidden. I asked the lady in the shoes section where the binoculars were and she pointed to lodging. This place is enormous but I just blindly said "ah okay" and just walked towards where I thought lodging might be. I should've asked for clarification because about halfway towards "lodging" I realized I had no idea where I was going. It was too early and I was too lazy to turn back so just committed and kept moseying towards lodging; wherever that may be. I hate Xmas shopping but I guess it's an adventure. I guess. The one guy at lodging seemed disinterested in helping but I usually read the reviews of a product on my phone anyway. I don't blame him either. It's Dicks. This store itself is brand new, clean, huge, and has an aesthetically pleasing layout to it... ... my problem is that my preferences apparently don't overlap with the buyer's at all. I've been here a few times looking for items that shouldn't have been that hard to find: a normal, long-sleeved t-shirt (all they had were the skin tight compression ones); Bears gear the weekend before the season opener (their entire men's selection was navy Cutler, Forte, and Allen jerseys... for a sporting goods store a mile from Soldier Field, I was expecting a much bigger section of Bears stuff than that); running pants; and Callaway golf balls. Each time, I've left empty handed and disappointed. Said differently? This store is basically exactly the opposite of the Sports Authority on LaSalle: that store has the right merchandise in a terrible physical store. Dick's on Canal seemingly has none of the right merchandise in a beautiful physical store. An overhaul of their clothing section/strategy and I'd frequent this place! read more

Its huge, clean, so new it almost has that new car smell. Staff was pretty friendly. Huge selection on clothing, which is separated into sections by brand. I liked that all the team gear was also separated into their own sections. Experienced the "convenience" of in store pickup, with the product hand delivered by the manager, only after I waited at the machine for a while. I actually had to find someone to attend to the machine. After he processed, the manager then pointed me to the long register line, in which I had to wait to get my parking validated by the cashier, despite already buying the product. Lower star rating because of the rude and less than helpful cashier named Sheree. I had a coupon but she wouldn't honor it because the barcode was "too blurry" and wouldn't scan. I ended up returning my entire purchase of six sports bras and four pairs of Nike cropped pants because of her. I actually got the same items at Nordstrom Rack for about 30% less. I've worked in retail management for many years. This store has the WORST customer service ever. No one EVER speaks to me and unless I seek out someone, there is never anyone to assist you. This store hadn't been open for a week when I stopped by with an extensive list of very specific items. The clerk that helped me, I think his name was Abid, was able to locate everything I asked him about with ease and gave me direction on the things I wasn't so knowledgeable about. Wonderful. The prices were great, the store was clean and organized. The cashier was also a personable, chatty girl that told me about opportunities to save and attractions in the newly developed neighborhood that I might enjoy. They took 10 days to restring and regrip two rackets. They did not call me when they were done. When I went to pick them up I saw the grips were not done properly. They offered to redo them but it would take another day or two, and I wasn't willing to wait any longer. I complained about the poor quality of work, how long it took, and that they didn't call me when finished. They just shrugged their shoulders and said,"Yeah, we're not very good with this stuff." I been buying all my kids and family things here. It's easier and closer but I asked Candice for help on my son bike . And received an attitude like I was wasting her time. I explained I bought my son bike about 2 yrs ago but wasn't sure. I purchased a warranty and I wast sure when it expired. She said she couldn't help me and put me on hold and one of the managers got on the phone and gave me a number to call. I called 1866 no sweat warranty they claim and talk to Gio and he said he could look up my information for my son bike that I spent $500 . This will be the last time I will ever go to this store . SERVICE SUCKS when you need help your on your own . Very disappointed I will take my business some where else that can answer my questions without attitudes. read more
