Poor customer service. I went in to exchange a pair of shorts for a different size and it was outside the 14 day policy. There was a line to try them on when I bought them. They have 1 fitting area. I had both the credit card receipt, store receipt, tags on the item never used and the original bag I got at purchase. It was a simple even exchange. They would not do it. Can understand the policy but for an even swap they could have done it..... any other store would have swapped it out. Wont be back. read more

I purchased a few underwear last week. At home I realized size is to small. I came back to the store to Return or exchange fir bigger size. Owner of the store said " underwear can not be returned or exchanged to different size". Also they can not give me store credit". Owner didn't mansion they have fitting room and didn't explain return policy. I am not coming back to this store. read more

Visiting from out of town and happened upon this store The employee was too busy on his laptop that he never welcomed us in or offered assistance. He was clearly very uninterested in working. Awesome male underwear store that clearly caters towards the gay male crowd. Straight males seem like they'd be welcome in here, though, as nobody gave me a second thought when I walked in (as a female in a male underwear store). While there are tons of mannequins and posters of fit males wearing the underwear, there is nothing of adult/graphic nature in here. The store focuses on male clothing that tends to be more revealing than what you'd find elsewhere. You can find swimwear, activewear clothes, lots of revealing underwear, shirts, accessories, and more. There's a nice, decent selection. I like how they display their underwear as well. Unlike Cram (nearby, similar store), Egoist definitely is focused on the underwear. Most of the styles have their own display area - instead of sliding through a couple racks and pulling out each piece of clothing to figure out what the underwear style looks like, each one of the underwear styles (for the most part) has its own out-facing area with various other colors and sizes located behind that. It makes it easy to figure out what you'd like at a glance. The underwear is nicely organized by designer and size as well. There's a fitting room to try on clothing. They ask that you leave your underthings on when trying on clothing. The employee working was pretty friendly. He asked if I needed any help, but he didn't bug me or put any pressure on me. Prices'll get you here, though. $35+ for a pair of underwear is pretty intense. This isn't outside of standard luxury underwear brands, but if you're new to shopping nicer men's underwear, you might be surprised. Good store, easy to find what you want, and it's hard to walk out with only one pair of underwear. Worth a trip. read more

I visited Egoist Underwear in Boystown recently for a gift and had such a great experience. The shop is bright, well-organized, and there was a huge variety of fun, high-quality styles (some more wild, some more tame) and colors. Lawrence was working that day and he was so friendly and helpful. He was really knowledgable about all the different brands as far as fit and fabrics. He was able to suggest which size to get based on waist measurements and said that if I didn't see a particular color in the size I needed, it would likely be restocked soon or they could make sure it was ordered for me. I bought a couple pairs of the super soft Andrew Christian Almost Naked Bamboo boxers and left the store very happy with the purchase. I'll definitely be back. :) read more

This is truly a gem, especially during the pandemic. I have been ordering items monthly and having them delivered. The quality is fantastic, the prices equally fantastic. The downside, the USPS shipping. On 2 occasions the packages have been marked as delivered and not been. HOWEVER, working directly with Sylvester the situations have been remedied expeditiously. Although I hate the shipping, it isn't Egoist, its the postal service. If you have not yet shopped here, give this remarkable store your business. The products and service are outstanding! read more

I've been shopping at Egoist for years, but I felt it was time for a good review. So far Ive purchased sweaters, underwear, swimwear and a few accessories. Ive always like shopping in stores like this because I like the helpful attention and feel of personal shopping (who doesn't like attention). Anyway, the best thing is to shop for underwear and swimwear here. The brands are top notch and the prices are comparable to everywhere else. Sylwester (the owner) is a super nice guy and I always tease him about not having styles for boys with bigger junk in the trunk and in front, but he always points me in the right direction and makes me look like a star when I walk out! The biggest problem I tend to have is finding things that fit my size xs/s but I think those sizes tend to run out pretty fast. GREAT customer service! The sales guy helped me with underwear and went so far as to suggest I wear myself "up" rather than left or right. The underwear in question is pretty slinky and leaves little to the imagination. He even gently did some "positioning" for me and I was happy with the result. Egoist has a fine selection of gay-themed undergarments and faux sportswear at inflated retail top prices and rarely a sale worth the trip. In this, and other difficulties with their salesmanship, I believe their business model leaves much to be desired. I don't see why I'd go back to Egoist anytime soon. read more

The old EGOIST was great, but this new location is even bigger and hotter! Sexy brands like ES Collection, XTG, Addicted (and many more)... found some short shorts and a tanktop to go with a hot new pair of briefs, and I'm ready for a night at Berlin! Wish the store was open later during the week, but at least they're open to 10p Friday and Saturdays. Need to go back soon for this summer's swimwear...! read more
