She repeated that I had to select "gift wrap" during online checkout, but from a customer's perspective, after waiting in a long line, receiving 10 gift items stuffed into a small shopping bag was extremely disappointing. I understand store policies, but I expected at least a simple wrapping option or even an extra shopping bag. The way I was spoken to and dismissed made me feel very uncomfortable, and I couldn't help feeling that I was being treated differently--possibly because I'm Asian. I definitely won't be returning after this experience, and I regret not asking for the employee's name (short-haired lady with not-so-fluent English).

There were many areas that I was not able to get to. The socks, which is what I came for, are on a wall at the back of the clearance area. The floor was so covered in merchandise and the displays were so close together, that I could not get near them. The clothing aisles were all diagonal and impossible to navigate. Lastly, and most upsetting to me, my daughter and I were checking out at the same time and her cashier was really pleasant, greeted her warmly and kept up a stream of converation, but the one that waited on me was rude and barely spoke. I can't say for sure that this was due to my disability, but what else am I to think? Evidently Rei doesn't care for disabled people. Or maybe they think that people with disabilities do not need active merchandise, so they don't have to cater to them. Either way it was sad to be treated negatively just because I have to use a scooter to get around.

Goal: Running shoes for my 13-year old son (secondarily running shoes for me). MARGARET to the rescue!!! Margaret was incredibly patient with both of us. Through throughout the process from inspecting our old shoes, to measurement, to assessing gait both walking and on the treadmill (including recording the treadmill sessions to compare). I've never been more impressed in a running-focused store. We are committed to Gazelle sports and thank you Margaret! Occasionally I use brick and mortars to physically inspect goods and then bounce online for price comparisons and potential purchase. I caught site of this business called Columbia Factory. It is store #938 located in District 9 on the map of the mall previously opened in 2019. This outlet store carries apparel, footwear, accessories and equipment for outdoor enthusiasts of all levels and for all seasons of the year too! Prices are decent. I stopped in to look for winter boots to match my Columbia 3 layer ski jacket which are located in the back of the store with other boots. My Photo is attached of the style I liked but my size was not available to try on. Prices were decent compared to shopping online. My mother loves every sweater I have ever bought for her from here. I was warmly greeted by three or four of the staff members as soon as I walked in the door. I always am greeted every time I walk in here it seems. It feels like the Cheers of the clothing/retail shops. I feel like this place tends to be for the more rugged and out-doorsy folks, which I am not. But I always manage to find a great sweater or two in merino wool, cashmere or a mix of fabrics. I spent some time browsing around in the men's section. I ended up finding a one piece jacket/shirt hybrid. Orvis brand. One of the staff members had the same shirt and he said it was great shirt and he loved it. He said it's super versatile and warm and has a lot of added features that my stepdad would like. I was sold. Was about $170. The entire staff is an A team of helpful, patient and informative peeps. Each will go above and beyond to make your experience great here. I didn't realize I was in the store after hours. There were still four staff members that had stayed on to help me out until the end. They didn't rush me out or make me feel bad about keeping them at all. I did thank them for staying a little extra. They said they had stuff to finish up still, so staying was no biggie. I took a little extra time to try on their barbour jackets, as these require a bit more time in selecting the perfect color, style and fit for a jacket. The wax jackets are around $420. It was great since I was able to do 1-stop shop for my parents tonight. Found two cashmere sweaters for my mother and two sweater/jackets for my stepfather. Their Christmas gifts are done. I was able to find two cashmere sweaters, one cable knitted for myself, a black barbour waxed jacket and a inner vest lining for it. A successful trip and put a good dent in wallet too. I was told the Barbour jackets are great and durable and lovable for many years to come. I so love the smell of their frasier fir candles here. I buy some every year from here.
