I received a response regarding my feedback of my March 2023 online purchase. I received two left shoes instead of the left and right I should have. This purchase/refund of snowballed into realizing the severe state of failure that DicksSportingGoods is in at the current time. The penned response was obviously written with guidelines that must've come from a very prosthetic source. This person also used pronouns with their signature which shows me that Dick's is political and the company probably must support the left side. I do not support nor want to hear or read anything regarding politics when I am spending my hard earned heavily taxed dollars. The long and short of my experience, which will go on the Dicks website, as well as yelp is that Dick's Sporting Goods purchased Chick's sporting goods. Chicks was a high end, customized, and heavily customer service oriented business. Their hard-working employees (which most of were athletes and worked in the department of the sport they played) did not pass the buck, and they truly (from their hearts), cared about the goals and needs of their customers/fellow athletes. I believe that Dick's is the classic fool-company of some rich lazy person whom believed that they could ride off the coattails of hard-working American athletes by replacing them with the lowest paid person off the street. A well designed store that makes it easy to find what I'm looking for. The prices are reasonable, and it's generally quick to cash out. But why I'm buying at Dick's is because of their courageous stand in adopting a rational ban on some gun sales. Two weeks after the February 2018 school shooting, Dick's announced it would end all assault-style weapons sales in all stores and stop selling guns or ammunition to anyone under 21. That has hurt some of their sales, but it was the right thing to do. It was a model for other stores, who adopted similar policies. read more

I went to this Dick's sporting goods on February 10 when there was about 6 inches of snow on the ground only to be told we don't have any winter coats we shipped them all to our cranberry store .... i've never been to a Dick's Sporting Goods in February in Pittsburgh without having winter coats... probably next I will go to giant eagle and they tell me they don't have milk or eggs read more

They carry all the typical products and the layout is good. The store is clean and neat. It is either under staffed or miss managed. The only 2 depts that seem good is sport/guns and golf. I've given this this 3 chances needing assistance with items. 11/6/18 being my last time. 2 times with shoes and once with a jersey. The shoes dept is useless at best. It's 5-10 minute wait for them to find the model and size, that's if you can even find someone to help you. Yes I know they get paid the same whether they help you or not. Maybe they should go to a commission based system for bonuses or something. I won't be back at this store. I live less than 2 miles from here. I will drive out to Ctwp from now on. Sorry read more

Gerry in the bike section was AMAZING! He could not have been more helpful! He went above and beyond and I know this is an incredibly busy time for them. Bikes are hard to come by and we bought one for my daughter and he took the time to put another size together just in case the large didn't fit! He was so kind and helpful! read more

I delt with Ben, a worker in apparel. The nicest kid in the store, I had an issue with sizes and I needed help. Ben was very sincere and helpful and fixed my problem. If u need help at this Dicks sporting goods store ask for Ben. read more

Corinphean Mitchell this is for you. This lady was absolutely the worst customer service I've ever seen! She was short she was very rude and had her mind made up before she even talked to me. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I bought A kayak on May 23, 2020. My tracking number stated that my shipment would be delivered June 8, 2020. I did not receive it until 4:00pm today. I called The freight service about four times to track my order and they stated they couldn't find it. The literally lost my order! This was for my husband's birthday and he didn't even get it in time! When i call The sporting goods yesterday they lady i spoke To told me that she was refunding my money and was personally going to call the freight service and see if she couldn't work it out. Our connection was lost and she never called me back. So today i called (Still at this point did NOt have my kayak) and they told me that in no way shape or form was they giving me my money back. She said since i receved It today that she did not care that it was late. She stated that it was not her problem or her fault! I'm so so upset. I have NEVER had such bad customer service in my life. I really Hope if you are reading this you buy from somewhere else! I understand Bad days happen but this is unacceptable. I called Them back after that because I'm just really hurt and she made me feel like i wasnt Important. The lady told me on the phone that she was so sorry her coworker acted like that but she was below Mrs. Mitchell and she could help me. Stopped in to buy a water bottle. Saw some on a shelf marked for 9.99. I took it to the register and they rung it up for $20. I went to the shelf (which was near the checkout counter) and pointed and told the cashier. She just ignored me. I left. Won't be back. They are always overpriced. read more

Bought a basketball as a gift (this was at the McCandless Crossing store). Price rang up over $4 more than it should have; asked why and the cashier, Christopher, was evasive. Asked how much the sales tax was and he said he didn't know. Asked what price rang up for the item; he rescanned and it was correct. Turns out he (or Dick's) tried to add a "protection plan" for $4.27 (for a basketball!) without asking me or getting my consent! Should have shopped around more, Target had the same item for $10 less! Completed the Dick's customer survey, asked to be contacted by them, and am still waiting. Super nice store. Brand new location. Place is super clean, huge and has a great selection. The staff was friendly and helpful. The building is located in a great area by several restaurants, Trader Joe's and a new movie theater. From shoes to bikes to golf supplies to athletic clothing to team apparel, this store has it all. My wife and I stopped in and she selected a pair of Brooks Adrenaline, a shoe that gets great reviews. When they had no shoe in the color she wanted, they ordered her a pair. The shoes fit great in the store. The shoes that we received in the mail were too small, although the size was the same - obviously defective. Suspect is that the toe stuffing was missing and they were shipped from the E-Commerce "Returns" Dept in Lexington, KY. Dick's had obviously shipped us a defective pair that had previously been returned. Seriously? As of May 2016, Dick's Market Capital was reported to be $5.3 billion - THAT'S "BILLION".
