The service in the shoe department today was despicable! All of the workers except for one were beyond lazy. We kept asking if they had a certain size in different shoes and it seemed to be putting them out to scan the shoe to see if the size was in stock. At one point, the tallest and laziest of the lot, told us we probably should just go to another store. It was absolutely disgusting how lazy and unconcerned they were and I won't be back. read more

Received a $75 sweatshirt for Christmas. Wrong size. Did not have the correct size in the store. No receipt. (again, Xmas gift) would give me $18.25 for a return. Don't want a return- want the correct size. Will not/ cannot do a transfer from another location. They WILL give me the full amount on an in-store card but -and here's the catch- I would have to order the correct size online and PAY FOR IT WITH MY OWN CREDIT CARD. So they basically get a double purchase for an even exchange. Shady. Not helpful. Never doing business with Dicks again. Academy here we come! read more

I was a returning customer to the shoe department. My first experience, was not favorable due to the employee's indifferent attitude and he had to pull up his pants about every 5 steps (I don't want to see his underwear!). I was back last week and on my way said a prayer that there would be a different employee. NOT, again he needed to pull up his pants every 5 steps and had a hoodie on his head. There were 2 other customers in the area, but I was never acknowledged in any form. If this is the best that you can find to employee, the company is falling short. Perhaps, a "secret shopper" and see how they are treated. Like the CEO of the company! I left the store and have no plans to return. read more

I've been to this location several times and have never had a bad experience. The customer service has always been pretty decent and the store was always stocked. The only complaint is that it used to be busy all the time because it was right across the street from the Air Force base. read more

I am looking to purchase some tennis shoes and I figured since it was July 4, you would have sales. I called up and spoke to someone in your shoe department and ask if there is any specials going on for tennis shoes. I was just told "No" in the most abrupt way no other words. If this is the way you treat somebody on the phone I won't even bother to come in to your store. read more

Customer service isn't great, every time I go in there I feel judged and not welcome. When checking out it feels awkward and like the employees just want to get it over with. No effort is put in to start any type of conversation, not a big deal but also not pleasant. read more

i recently, within the last 60 days purchased a Tommy Armour putter. it did not perform to my satisfaction, (could have been the user), so I decided to avail myself of the 90 day return policy. I intended to exchange it for another putter of the same value. The first clerk looked at it and said it could not be returned because it had been used. Of course it was used; I did not buy it to look at. I went back to the golfing section where the clerk took it to his superior to look at. They came back and said it had a few scratches on the handle (which I cannot see) and didn't have the bar code or wrapper on it. (It did not have a wrapper on it when I bought it.) They offered me $19 for the same putter I bought less than 2 months ago for $150. I told them that was an insult and that I would never darken their door again. I called Dick's 800 number and explained my problem with their 90 day return policy. I think it makes more sense for Dick's to not have a return policy rather than insult their customer by the way they administer it. I only gave them one star because I could not post it without a star rating. read more

I rarely shop at Dick's, but from time to time their selection has just what I need. Today we went for shoes, and we had a miserable experience. The first 2 gentlemen who "helped" us were curt, rude and seemingly put off that we needed help. Thank goodness for Chase! He was friendly and willing to help. However, he was not available for the complete visit, so we didn't get to thank him, and we had to go back to being "assisted" by the others. I regret not knowing the other employees' names, but they might benefit from customer service training? The whole process requires a customer utilize an employee, so if that's a problem, a different line of work may be in order. My advice, shop elsewhere or look for Chase! read more

The service here is great. An employee named Vegas went out of his way to help me pick a pair of running shoes. He was super helpful.

Had them work on my trike, they completely botched the front brakes and held it in with friggin' zip ties and a stripped bolt after it was returned and then refused to fix the damaged line they frayed. Clamped it ON the fray and the pads barely make contact, effectively useless. Literally called and showed six times in two weeks, every time confirmed the bike repair tech was in on the phone, only to find they had skipped work early or entirely for the day. You owe me $130 and 30 miles in wasted time and trips, frustration, and unacceptably poor service all around. read more

Prices seemed inline with their obvious competition, but they are horrible with customer service. My wife and i had went to this location for running shoes about a month ago. It was around noon during a weekday so there were very few customers inside. Ironically, the only store associate that we had seen (aside from one person at the registers) was in shoes. We waited for assistance in the shoes for about 10 minutes, but the guy was too busy talking to his buddy to even notice that we were there. Sorry, but if I'm buying shoes that cost over $80 a pair... you're asking me if I'm ok, I shouldn't need to ask for your attention. We were the ONLY CUSTOMERS in your department! You should at least act like you want my business. Oh well, there's always your obvious competition. read more

Last Sunday I visited this store and looked at golf clubs. The sales associate working at the time was most helpful. He let me test out a couple of different sets/ brands. He even used tape on the Srixon set I tried out Since they didn't have any demos of that brand to try out. I Made the drive from Davis back to Moore this afternoon with full intentions of purchasing either the Ping 425 irons or the Srixon irons and a new Driver and a Vokey wedge. Had full intentions of probably spending at least $1,500.00 or so on clubs. The young man on shift this afternoon basically acted like I was putting him out when I asked to try out the two sets I had narrowed my choices down to. Needless to say, he got my opinion of his attitude and what made it worse was the fact that the manager that I spoke with at the front of the store acted like she didn't give a rats tail about the incident. I've worked for GM for 27 years now selling cars. I know a little bit about sales. I'd guess that golf clubs are probably in the top 10 items sold in this store as far as price and profit. I'd rate the experience as a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. Dicks sporting Goods won't have to worry about Mark Rogers ever giving it a bad review again because I'll never waste my time darkening their door again!!! No excuse for that kind of service!!! The young man in the golf department needs an attitude adjustment the manager needs to watch some more training videos. I will be treating myself to a new set of golf clubs for Christmas and I will guarantee that they won't be purchased from Dick's Sporting Goods at the Moore location. read more

I love Dick's. I have loved them since well before this store opened. However, without prior knowledge of their awesome...I would hate them if this were the only place I had to go off of. Retail sales person after retail sales person...watching you like a hawk. How many times do they need to ask if I need anything?! I still don't. And I see you hovering so if I need something I will be sure to ask. That drives me away from places. Sometimes I just want to go in and shop and not be bothered by strangers every 3 minutes. LOVE this store! Great selection, great prices... spent two stressful hours in the self serve shoe department at Academy yesterday, couldn't find comfortable men's outdoor soccer cleats for under $80. In the full service shoe department, we were seated, trying on shoes, and done in under 10 minutes. AWESOME!!! Great staff! Docked two stars because 1. There are no self service price scanners - you must take items to cashiers to check prices. 2. Stock is not necessarily placed with the corresponding price signs. 3. There are no bar codes on the price signs, so you cannot verify the price without going to the front of the store. I thought I was buying $49.99 snorkel and fin set for my kid. It actually cost $69.99. I went back inside to check the prices - after spending about eight minutes carefully examining everything in the snorkel and fin set section, I figured out their system. Only two items in the whole row matched the price sign. Nothing else matched the bar code of my purchase (small - everything else was a different size). I corrected the organization of the 6 racks I was examining. The next people will know the correct price. This problem is easily fixable - just add bar codes to price signs. Or place a few price scanners around the store. If either of these solutions were implemented, I would increase the star rating to five. I will shop here again. I will just be very wary. read more

I bought two bikes from them and the refused to help with a product defect. I called corporate and they just told me how sorry they were. I made a complaint with the better business Bureau and they lied about giving me a refund. Buyer beware. read more

I dropped off my two bikes to get them worked on for an event. I was told the bike tech had not been there in two days but would be there the next day. I requested the bikes to be ready two days later. On the day the bikes should have been ready the store told me the same story they told me when I dropped them off but told me they would be ready first thing the following morning. When I contacted the store to check the status of my bikes I was told the same story again. They told me the bike techs would be in on Monday morning. After I showed my disappointment the person on the phone told me that the bike techs would be there on Sunday morning. When I mentioned they had just said Monday morning they told me they made a mistake and had checked the schedule. I missed my event and they did not even bother to contact me or tell me the truth. read more
