BJ came over and degraded the young woman until it was obvious she wanted to cry. I tried to encourage her. He admonished me for encouraging her. He said how sorry he was for her inability to perform the task. Then, HE WAS UNABLE TO PERFORM THE SIMPLE TASK -- a return. I shopped to replace the item I returned. I listened to BJ. He speaks to his associates TERRIBLY AND MAKES CUSTOMERS FEEL AWKWARD AND UNCOMFORTABLE!!! I have been back to the store several times since this incident. This manager is OUT-OF-CONTROL! One of the times, a customer literally TOLD THIS MANAGER TO SHUT UP! because he was hounding her about an item to purchase. He then became completely rude and aggressive with not only that customer but others and even worse with his associates. That MetroShoe Warehouse keeps this buffoon is astonishing! They also own Marshalls and HomeGoods which are also good stores to check out. I've noticed that each store is somewhat similar to the others..offering the same/similar products at the same/similar prices but each store has a slightly different "thing" that they're pushing... i.e. HomeGoods pushes furniture/decor/glassware, TJ Maxx pushes their clothing, and Marshalls seems to be a combination of the two.

I stopped in after searching for the perfect pair of boots and saw these really nice ones in black…read morewhich of course they did not have any in my size but I noted a pair of grey ones pewter almost and i just knew they would be comfy. I noted the price was $99.99 and it was double what I wanted to spend so I opted to browse around a bit and after nearly 2hrs of doing so I came back and tried them on, just as I suspected, they were comfy and I had to have them. I really did want a pair in black but I took what I could get and was happy with my purchase. Joseph the manager did offer another pair for me to try on and they were even a bit less costly but I just had my heart set on the style of the pair I picked out already so I told him no thank you and told him to ring me up. He did a demo of a shoe spray (which to be honest took me by surprise that he sprayed MY boot with it cause I did not even know if I wanted the boot spray or what he was doing till he did it and it made me feel a bit obligated to buy the spray and that I did not like at all. I would have rather him showed me on a demo pair or something...just not on my new boots unless I asked him to. So in this case, I made him spray both boots and got the $6 spray) and asked me if I wanted a cleaner (I didn't) and then rang me up (and also forgot to put my spray in my bag but luckily my bf saw it so I didn't have to double back for it) and I walked out ready to enjoy my new pair of boots. The boots are really nice. I have worn them a few times and like the quality. Only gripe about them was the inside tag, I felt it with thin socks on and I am still not sure if it will pose a major concern in the neat future, if so I will have to bring them back for an exchange. So far so good. 4 stars for customer service and 3 for the store cause it's small and they didn't have my original color in stock. I will report back with an update should I have to proceed with a return. Side note: I have a code that gets me a % off if my friends and or family but $400 worth of shoes from them so if you go there let me know and I will shoot you that code.
