I have to give this place 3 stars to start with because while it looks nice and there's a great selection I couldn't get any help. I went to the area where I needed stuff and there was no one around to help me. I went and asked someone to send someone to the department where I needed help. I waved someone else down that kept waking anyway. I then waited and waited and waited. No one ever came. Then I left. I hope this was just an off day. read more

I dropped into the store to shop for a treadmill. Shawn (not sure of spelling) greeted me immediately and assisted me in finding the perfect machine. He was courteous and knowledgeable and his friendly attitude was awesome. Shanice assisted me by ringing up my purchase and scheduling delivery. Shanice was professional and efficient, ensuring that all of the details were taken care of. Her knowledge of the buying process and warranty package was impressive. I like this store, but you really have to have your wits about you to shop here as things can be a tad over-priced in my opinion. But if you really do your research, you may find a deal or two hidden about here. I also like that they heavily support the BassMasters Tournament when it makes its' way to our neck of the woods every few years or so. They send you coupons knowing they won't work! The coupons don't say anything about exclusions applying or even "may be" applied. I got two different coupons and neither would work for my order. A $20 off and a 10% off. Upon calling, I spoke with a young lady that was not friendly at all and then a manager that was down right rude. He kept speaking over me, had an attitude and did not care one bit about helping me and made that very clear. Since their coupons said nothing about me needing to go search their website for an "exclusion" list, which I've since found out lists almost all major sports brands like under armour, Nike, north face, etc.. anyhow, without labeling the coupons with an "exclusions May apply, check our list online," they should honor the coupon/s for CUSTOMER SATISFACTION, which I know good and well businesses can do at their discretion. These phone agents don't care about their customers nor losing customers but corporate should! I'll never shop with them again. My business will go to Academy Sports from now on. I will not recommend Dick's to anyone, I'll do quite the opposite. read more

I was the only guy shopping near the gun rack, two employees carried on their conversation for 5 mins until I started walking away and I heard "guess he didn't need anything bad enough".
