If not for the great doctors in this practice, we'd be long gone and would never return to this practice. The front desk is completely unhelpful and simply unbelievably rude. They are arrogant because they know that their patients are heart patients and cannot switch that easily to other cardiologists, so the front office thinks they can talk in any manner to their patients whether it be on the phone or in-person. First they did an ultrasound which sounded weird to me, but ok maybe they just wanted to make sure I did not have blood clots. Then they sent me to another location because they said my insurance wouldn't cover it there. So I went. I felt like I was being intimated by the doctor. He asked if I wore compression stockings and said to the medical assistant who had her legs done, " you had real symptoms, pain, tiredness etc" as he being a professional, my wanting to get what I wanted done should not have been compared to his assistant's procedure. Then they proceeded to Prep the wrong leg. I said " wait that's the wrong leg and they said it's the only one your insurance would approve. I thought maybe they saw something wrong there. In the end they ran wires and injected three places from my knee to my groin. No veins were repaired just left me with a huge bruise. Months later I still have pain. Then I get a bill for a few thousand dollars and a call from the finance dept to setup payments for the additional treatments! WHAT I'm never going back! Please stay away!

I had been trying to ignore it but often times the leg would ache if I sat for extended periods of time. A long, unpleasant, dull pain. So other than feeling self-conscious during the summer and not feeling very good about how my legs looked the pain was a growing issue for me. We discussed the EVLA option and I felt comfortable with Doctor's care. This varicose vein procedure didn't require any kind of surgery (maybe it's newer). The whole visit took about an hour but the treatment was rather quick (about 20 or so minutes). The initial couple weeks after were relatively regular weeks, as they are described in all the EVLA/ EVLT brochures: Bruising, some discomfort (but tolerable), etc. Eventually all the pain went by the wayside and all the bruising is gone.. the stockings too. Bulge removed. Things are good.

I waited nearly an hour for the doctor to come in and could hear him talking and laughing outside the door. After looking at my back once, Dr. Buatti told the assistant to prescribe different medications I said didn't work for me. He continued talking over me, glaring, and in the end prescribing things I again, told him did not work. But worst of all, their sign in questions had no where for me to tell them I am transgender, and I believe I was targeted for this. I put female on the intake form because I'd be asking them to look. Both the assistant and Dr. Buatti seemed amused and condescending when they asked why I put that. When we talked about my HPV, after the assistant told me I could leave my underwear on, he stayed in the room watching me when he told me to take them off. This was extremely uncomfortable and I had to ask for privacy. When they came back in, he used the cryo gun across the entire surface of my privates. It was not targeted to actual lesions, it was freezing the entire area. I was in a significant amount of pain for a week and later saw burn marks. I left humiliated and disgusted. No further treatment was offered. Extremely unprofessional and I have warned against this place to anyone looking for a dermatologist.

I paid my $60 co-pay at the time of the visit. I waited almost an hour to be seen. When the doctor came in, I saw him for about 6 minutes. He did freeze something but technically never asked me if I wanted him to do that and then prescribed me 2 medications that I picked up and paid for. I have never been to this office and did not have a great experience especially being sent a bill of his magnitude 12/5/24 Response from the office: the $60.00 dollars you paid was your copay. the $149.08 is your amount towards your deductible. you should have received an EOB from BCBS explain all this information. 12/13/24 My Response to the office: I don't feel my initial message was even read. I did not ask nor give permission for the doctor to freeze the spot on my back. I was simply showing him so he could look at it as skin cancer runs in my family and I was worried. Next thing I know I am being sprayed. As I did not ask for nor did I give permission to freeze the item, I will not be paying this bill. I will not be at the appointment on Monday 12/23 and I will not be paying for any cancelled appointment fee since I have been attempting to cancel since 12/13.
