4 Stars - Pre-op appointment review I chose this office because of the referral from my primary doctor. I arrived on time and signed in. I waited a few minutes before I was called to finalize the check-in (pay the co-pay). After another, longer wait, Jasmine called my name and walked me to the examination room. She was personable and engaging in collecting and inputting required information. After Jasmine finished, I waited 10+ minutes for Dr Reddy, and passed a portion of the time by educating myself using the interactive wall computer screen. Dr. Reddy asked questions to clarify my reason for getting a colonoscopy and explained the process at a high level. He gave me opportunity to ask questions, and then walked me to the scheduling desk. Alex (of scheduling fame I have to believe) was the star of my visit. He provided all the prep details and worked out a solution for the pending change in my insurance provides. Alex was very knowledgeable, confident, and personable, and left me with a very favorable impression of the office. read more

My name is Juan Rodriguez and I want to tell that I had a very bad experience with the front desk and handling of patient. After hour and a half waiting, I asked the front des young lady if the is normal that long waiting, instead of trying to find out why it was happening, she jus asked with a cold face, "do you want to reschedule your appointment?" like we don't matter to them "is like saying "come again to waste your time" I was referred by my primary Dr. to this place, I don't have any complain about the Dr since I didn't even see him, I left fuming and very upset for the stupid attitude of the young Gen Z lady at the front desk, of course I will look for another Dr. to see if I have better luck. All this for the lack of professionalism of that young lady. read more

The appointment was begun at time for arrival. The office staff: the front desk receptionist, the tech taking vitals and upgrading meds and info, the scheduler were excellent, supportive, affirming, knowledgeable particularly important having had sub par results last year from a competitor. NP Naomi listened, explained every thing as to why this follow up colonoscopy from last in 2019 was recommended. I felt heard which is not always the case anymore. On October 11th, I had my colonoscopy done with Dr. Barry Katz and his team. They were amazing. Their professionalism was stellar. I highly recommend their services. If you are looking to get a colonoscopy, you must go to Dr. Katz. You will leave completely satisfied and confident you received the best medical care available in Central Florida. Dr Reddy was dismissive and unwilling to listen to me as a patient. Needs a lot of work on bedside manner imo

The fact I had to walk to the procedure room with one hand on my gown to keep it shut and the other hand held my IV bag is beyond absurd. Once in the procedure room, the team was ready to assist with my colonoscopy as we waited for the doctor to arrive. I was not concerned that he was running late. However when he arrived he was very rushed and barely spoke to me. I have had several colonoscopies and have never been as sick as I was after this one. Was it because the doctor rushed through the procedure? I guess I will never know. The discharge nurse I had should be fired. She did not have one ounce of empathy or a bedside manner at all. The facility is dirty. I will never return to this practice!! read more

My first appointment I sat in the waiting area for an hour with no communication so I walked up to the desk and asked if something was wrong after seeing 5 patients that walked in after me get called back. Was told my provider was running late and it was going to be another 30 minutes. I left as if this is how they are going to treat me as a new patient I will find another Dr. Understand things happen but there was no communication to set expectations of running behind. Will do some research before finding a new Dr for my first Colonoscopy. read more

I loved the practice when Dr. Straker was there and went to him for years, but I feel like the practice has declined since he retired. I'm currently trying to connect with Dr. Katz' nurse about some CT results and I've made multiple calls to the office at her request, left multiple messages, told her exactly when I'm available for calls, and no response. It's a long drive for me to get there, but I'm thinking I may just need to show up some day and wait for her to be free. I'm getting quite frustrated. read more

Shocked there are any negative reviews about this facility and their people. I could not have felt more comfortable here. In fact, I'm a new patient in the last month and in 2 visits felt like I had been coming here for years. Dr. Popli was a great listener and I felt like he really heard me and explained everything to me in a way I could understand and connect with. He also was versed in my situation even a month later so I appreciate his homework. Now to the staff... Amazing to feel a little nervous getting a procedure done and be immediately comforted by all who came in contact with me. Special shout out to Justin, Virginia and (I wish I had caught the name of the other nurse who helped prep me)... they just had such a great vibe and positive energy environment. I have to admit that I was very hesitant to get this first colonoscopy, mostly because of my own anxiety related issues. But once I finally did commit to doing it, mostly at the urging of my family doctor, I found the experience overall was much better than I had imagined. Dr. Reddy and his team were great to work with, as well as the team at Palm Endoscopy. I felt like I was in good hands and well cared for from the minute I walked in the door. And my preliminary and post-procedure discussions with Dr. Reddy made me feel reassured that he was both very experienced as well as concerned with my care.If you're at the age that you need to start getting colonoscopies, I would speak with Dr. Reddy and his team. They can set you up with just the right preparation to make the colonoscopy procedure go very smoothly and worry free. If anything, most people seem to worry about the prep part, as did I initially. However, just follow their instructions, and relax-- everything will be fine. read more

The Doctors at DDC are about rushing. Get in and out. They show hardly any compassion for you personally. I am not one to be negative but when you are not feeling well and need help and have questions, being rushed is the last thing you want. I just feel they want to move along. I had several questions about my Pancreatitis and the doctor treated me as if I should have known the answers already. It's just a bad experience every time I go. Currently looking for a new GI Doctor. They are close and convenient to me but not worth the feeling they give me. read more

I am not happy with the bedside manner of the doctor. Rush, rush was my first visit with doctor and his notes scriber. Performing a procedure was already set in his mind w/o hearing me out. Seemed like he was not listening. I feel the office puts alot of emphasis on collecting even if they are not entitled to it. You have to make sure you tell them if you do not owe a deductible. I feel they are chasing the $$, rather than the personal care. When I walked out to check out, the lady did not even look at me once when asking me for my deductible. I advised her no deductible, I have an HRA health acct. Zero personality. read more

My mom has been a patient of Dr. Strayker for years. They really take good care of her and know what she needs. He'll listen to what you have to say and actually work and spend the time with you to figure out what is going on. You don't feel rushed here line at other Doctor Offices. I've had 2 colonoscopies within 10 years with Dr. Harry H. Shephard. I recevied a letter 2 years ago when I turned 50. I called to schedule my 50 yr colonoscopy and was told I had to wait unitl my 5th year which was this past August. I had scheduled my appointment for last Thursday and live 30 miles from this office. Upon leaving my home i called to ask the office what to do since traffic was backed up on turnpike. I was told by lisa as long as i arrived by 4:00pm i was good. NOT!! Upon arrival @4:00 i was given paperwork for my address change etc. and told i had an over due balance of $22.50 from 5 years ago + my deductible NOT! I informed her that deductible had been met last month. She tried to call the Dr. who supposedly was in a room with a patient and let him know I had arrived. I was then asked if I could come back on Friday at 10:00am or Monday at 3:45pm because the Dr. declined to see me. I have worked in the medical field for over 28 years and have never seen anyhting like this. I plan to invoice the 60 miles plus tolls to Dr. Shephards office and will request my medical records immediately. I have found another Gastroenterologist and will hope not to have any issues regarding my medical records. Would definitely not EVER EVER EVER refer anyone here. read more

I would only suggest going here if you want them to order unnecessary expensive procedures. If you go in with rectal bleeding it is an automatic colonoscopy which will cost you around $3,000 with insurance or if you demand self-pay will cost you $1,200. Most insurances won't cover the cost unless it is preventative or you have met your deductible so it will be out of pocket. $1,200 to diagnose hemorrhoids which I am pretty sure could have been done with a proctology exam not a colonoscopy is ridiculous. read more
