Then they called me the very next morning and got me in the following Tuesday. I would say it's a very efficient office very organized. Everybody knows their role. The front desk, however, is the face of the office. Their demeanor and lack of politeness needs to be addressed or they need to pay a little more an hour to get quality employees upfront.

I have been trying to get my records released for 2 weeks now. I signed release forms exactly 2…read moreweeks ago today. They were faxed over from another clinic. A week went by and I never heard from anyone? I decided to call Heartland to see if my records had been released yet. I was transferred to the records department which went to a recording. I left a detailed message and my phone number for them to call me back. I never received a return call? I called again to the new clinic and had them re-fax the signed form. I then called Heartland right away and got the recorded message again so I hung up and went directly to Heartland to have my records released to me. I filled out yet another form to have my records released. I had to fill out information that I had no idea what requesting. The receptionist offered no assistance. I had her look for the fax that was resent this morning to no avail. My doctor said we really needed to act on doing some tests for my condition. I sure hope that it's no big deal?

Got seen by Dr Bhavya Akhouri for GI issues. Saw her mainly because she was a female despite there…read morebeing experienced and better doctors like Chepyala. She was totally clueless about my condition despite many visits. In the end she said she didn't know what I had. It couldn't be anything else and it couldn't be IBS. She had no answers for me. Oh and the colonoscopy she did, was so very painful. She seems to have absolutely no experience at all, I awoke during the procedure despite being sedated due to the pain and realized the nurses were pushing top down on my colon because it was too inflated by what Akhouri was doing incorrectly. I found myself pushing downward with my hands as well. It was intensely painful despite sedation and I have given birth with no pain relief as well. *Here's the ICING on the cake*: After the various fruitless appointments and no answers from Akhouri my PCP referred me to university of Iowa with a specialist for suspected Pancreas issues. Akhouri found out about this appointment (for which I waited 2 months with severe digestive issues) and Sent them an email that I didn't need that appointment because she thought I didn't have pancreatic problems (without any scans or tests). The specialist refused to see me and the appointment was cancelled without my knowledge. Later Akhouri's nurse calls me up to have me book more appointments with her telling me that I have GI issues and I must be seen, I could sense her panic that I was leaving their service to be seen elsewhere. Very dishonest, unethical business practices. I wouldnt touch her with a 10 feet pole if possible. I ABSOLUTELY DO NOT RECOMMEND DR BHAVYA AKHOURI.

I'm not going to go into detail, but it has been a life altering. My physician & psychiatrist both suggested me to make an appointment here, since the symptoms are getting worse and worse, and nothing else is seeming to work. I found this a little odd, a colonoscopy at 23?! I had never heard of it. But both my dad, and doctors insisted on this being scheduled, after a year of pain, to make sure there wasn't anything seriously wrong with my digestive system. So I submitted the form on line (was a little embarrassed) and got a pleasant voice mail from one of the receptionists. I forgot to call back & I received a letter in the mail notifying me that I needed to call back and make an appointment. So I did, and wow what a bad idea! I left a message and then got a call back right away from a woman named 'Tanya' a receptionist or something along those lines. She was one of thee RUDEST people I have ever spoken with over the phone, ever. I felt like I had done something wrong by calling. "YOU DO NOT NEED A COLONOSCOPY AT 23!!!" I was super polite and tried to explain the situation and my doctors referrals, but she just continued to make me feel like a complete idiot for calling. She said (in a snotty tone), "Ugh, I'll have to talk to one of the doctors to even see if you can get a pre-apt because I think you've gotten confused this is unnecessary. I'll call you back" Tanya are you one of the physicians here? If so please explain in more detail and what other options there are. I could not believe this. And I am from LA and am VERY USED to poor customer service. And to think she probably speaks with many older people is terrifying. She did call back and give me an appt. with Dr. Silber , in 2 months. We'll see how that goes, but hopefully it does not involve dealing with Ms. Tanya ever again!

We never received a bill until we heard from a collection agency to collect. Not to mention that I was on the phone paying another bill and they still never mentioned that there was an outstanding payment. When we called the billing dept and after speaking to Mary Jo she stated that we already sent this bill to collections so there was no way to take care of the bill even after explaining a bill has never been received. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYONE.

They assured me they faxed the prescription in on Friday. Went to pharmacy on Saturday to pick up prescription. Nothing. 10 days later they send the prescription in. My script went from $30 to $2911.15 for a 30 day. They never call back. Still waiting for call back (2 messages left) from manager Stacy. Prescriptions take more than 3 days as indicated on website. Beware.

Although it was a difficult surgery, having someone with Dr. Crawford's experience and ability made all of the difference. I feel tremendous and Peoria is lucky to have a surgeon as good as Dr. Crawford- he is as good as anyone in the country (and I have had surgeries in other parts of the country over the years). The follow-up appointments were also excellent and the care team is very friendly and very knowledgeable. I highly recommend Dr. Crawford and this practice.
