Very unfortunate encounter this afternoon when picking up a varsity jacket which was having an…read moreadditional sport added to the back. The original work on this jacket by this business was Grade-A so we returned for an update to have "Volleyball" added underneath an existing "Softball".... The existing "Softball" embroidery was in a 2.5 inch high font. What we picked up was "Volleyball" in a 2.25 inch font, and the letters from the new embroidery were overlapping the existing. When this unacceptable condition was pointed out, a bizarre exchange of not accepting fault started. * When asked for a ruler or tape measure to point this out, the owner refused. Other owner suggested "measure it at home". * When asked about the layout and 'kerning' the owner claimed to not be aware of the term. Suspicious for an embroiderer working with letters and layouts on a daily basis. * When pointing out the overlapping stitching, the owner suggested we should have had both sports put on at the same time, apparently unaware that perhaps a student may earn a varsity letter in a later year than the original sport that was embroidered prior. * It was suggested by the owner that because of the ascending and descending parts of the font there were no options other than overlap. We were never informed that this could be a problem beforehand and would have appreciated a call to at least discuss this issue before the deed was done. We've also seen plenty of jackets with multiple sports that don't seem to have this problem, and they too have names with letters that have ascenders and descenders. * When we insisted that this needs to be remedied because it was unacceptable, the owner remarked "get out of my store, I'm too busy and have no time to talk to you anymore". What sort of customer service is this? Bizarre. Buyer beware. See for yourself.

They came out to measure our windows themselves -- their job, not ours -- and still managed to misprint materials that didn't fit. Rather than communicate this before installation, they installed over a weekend with zero notice, put up incomplete decals missing an entire middle panel, and left our before-and-after display looking like an embarrassing mess. When we finally called to get answers (because they certainly weren't going to reach out), they had the audacity to blame us for having windows of different widths -- windows they measured themselves. I then had to pull time out of my own schedule to resize and resubmit designs to correct their mistake, and they still tried to charge us for the reprints. Let that sink in: they misprint, they ghost you, they botch the installation, and then they send you a bill. And if that weren't enough -- when one of our female employees followed up, they addressed her dismissively as "woman" and doubled down rather than showing an ounce of professionalism or accountability. That kind of behavior has no place in any professional exchange, full stop. This business operates with the accountability of a middle school group project. Bigoted, incompetent, and completely uninterested in making things right. We deeply regret ever giving them our business and would strongly urge anyone -- especially other medical or professional practices -- to look elsewhere. When called out on their mistakes, they whine and deflect like children rather than handle problems like the professional adults they claim to be. But then again, they're called "Print Boys" so we should have known...

However, I wanted to ensure that the card stock was to my liking, so I went to the shop. Randy assured me that my order would be completed on time and to my specifications. When I arrived to pick up the programs, Randy said their printer broke down and that they were unable to add the glossy finish to the front and back pages of the program. My pickup was scheduled for 9:00 am and the service was at 10:30 am. I took the programs as is. I followed up a few days later to ask if he would print the thank you notes, pro bono, since they had not completed my previous order to my satisfaction. He said they would give me a 25% discount. I asked for a 25% refund on my previous order. He told me he could not offer a refund, because I had accepted it. I told him I had no other choice but to use those programs. I asked him if I could talk to the owner. He told me he was not at liberty to tell me the name of the owner. How could someone take advantage of someone in such a vulnerable state and not try to figure out a way to remedy the situation to the customer's satisfaction? Did the machine really break down or did Randy lie? WARNING - STAY AWAY FROM PRINTBOYS in Auburn Hills, MI. They will take advantage of you and then blame you for their poor workmanship. I physically visited their office with copies of my company's business cards and letterhead and asked for them to reproduce the materials exactly in a fairly large quantity (for a small business of approximately 10 employees). The company faxed various "proofs" to me and I approved them. But since they were faxed, obviously, they didn't show color. When the order was completed, they shipped the order to me. But when the order arrived, the colors were COMPLETELY wrong. I immediately called and told them so. However, the company refused to fix their error. First they said I didn't give them a color code. I explained not only did they never ask for one, I didn't know what a color code was. I told them I personally delivered copies of our existing letterhead and business cards to them and instructed them to match the colors and design exactly and that they said they could do that. At that point they said they never received any of the materials. I asked to speak to my Customer Service rep, whom I met with when placing the order. His name was "Dean." Dean continued the lie that they never received a copy of our business cards or letterhead to compare colors. At this point I am fuming. I tell Dean that I met with him personally and that he took my materials from me himself. He continues telling me he never received them. I ask if they never received them, how were they able to duplicate the design layout for me to proof? He simply restated, "We never received copies of your business cards or letterhead." This went round and round. With me telling Dean that I sat at a table with him, gave him the materials personally, and wondered how they could matched the design layout perfectly if they never received the items I gave him. And Dean just kept replying, "We never received copies." Finally, I asked to talk to the owner "Barry". They refused to let me speak to him. But they said they discussed the matter with Barry who refused to rerun the order. They said, Barry would let us keep the incorrect order at half price or they would come and pick up the incorrect order they sent and not charge us for it. However, they refused to correct their mistake and redo the order correctly. I told them to pick up their order and that we'd be finding a new printing service. Stay far away from this company. There are much better, and more reputable, print shops out there than these people.

I also used them for my own photography business, and they ALWAYS came through for me. As you probably know, the measure of a company isn't when everything is right, fast and perfect. But when there is a wrench thrown into the process. Greko came out on top when that happened too. If something was wrong, it was fixed IMMEDIATELY and without any kind of .. well.. attitude for lack of a better word. They were always apologetic, and always right on top of getting it right. And if I screwed something up - they worked with me then too, with patience and understanding. I recommend Greko to each and every one of you. Located just across and south of Walmart on 12 Mile Road in Warren, I visited Printy Co. TWICE in…read moretwo days. First one was to print a poster for a Halloween event I'm having second one was to print paracetamol for the same event. Both times I have dealt with Hakim (the owner who is VERY hands on) and Jane (who makes you feel quite at home very quickly). Jane wrote me with prices and Hakim got the poster done VERY QUICKLY. I was going to do both poster and postcards on the same day. Hakim advised after the poster was printed, that there will be either some cropping or some condensing in the fonts when the postcards are made since the size of the postcard I wanted was not directly proportional to the size of the postcards. He could've easily printed it and just charged me BUT he instinctively knows, I would not be happy with either result so instead, he advised me to reformat the file to fit the size of the postcard AND leave 1/8" on the designs perimeter to allow for the bleeds to be perfectly cut. I did as he advised and came back the next day. Needless to say, I am VERY SATISFIED with how big the posters and the postcards came out. I will DEFINITELY skip Kinko's and come back here instead foot all my printing needs, ESPECIALLY if I want the products to have a PROFESIONAL finish. Thanks Hakim and Jane!
