So ...starting with the positive. The quality of printing is not bad. My fiancé and I had some printing done for wedding save the dates and they turned out as expected. Keep in mind that they were pretty simple postcards, so nothing complex. However, service is extremely unfriendly, and unhelpful. Specifically the young lady that works here was not interested in helping me. It was very clear she just wanted me to walk back out the door, which I did after spending 5 minutes explaining 3 different times what I needed and her giving one word responses and telling me only what they couldn't do. With 10+ different printing services in the area, not sure why anyone would settle for potentially having to deal with someone so disinterested in helping customers. read more

I needed some vinyl lettering for my glass door in my office, mind you it was not the most intricate thing in the world and not the most expensive job, 20 dollars, but the end result was excellent. They also double as a FedEx shipping center and a do-it-yourself copy center. I had promotional flyers printed here. Tony was awesome to work with and the final product came out looking absolutely amazing. I've used a couple other print shops for business cards/ flyers, and Rocket's work looks the best, hands down. He even knocked a couple bucks off because he liked the artwork! I'll definitely come back to Rocket when I need something, anything printed! The shop is full of musicians and "rock guys," so it makes sense that their services are sort of tailored to bands. When I was there, they had some pretty good package deals for bands getting shirts, stickers, flyers, posters, and their actual albums made. NO STARS (period) Listen, if you are looking for quality print work DO NOT go to ROCKET PRINTING.. Dealing with them is the MOST FRUSTRATING ordeal. An order of 3000 fliers was completely botched.. wrong colors.. horrible cuts and an employee named TONY who is unaccountable and RUDE. It took a little over three weeks to get one order complete. You will experience tales of broken printers, excuses galore and run-around on pick up dates like you've never imagined... the whole experience with this company was a nightmare and an embarrassment. Overpriced --- abysmal print quality (I go to art school downtown Detroit, so my standards are accurate, if exacting) --- piss poor customer service. My black and white large-format plot was printed with a purple hue (submitted in B&W format). Took forever to finish my bill, attendants complaining about "horrible day" behind the counter. Poor quality, poor service. They missed the deadline on the first of two jobs I did with them and, while they did turn it around quickly after I came to pick them up, they offered no discount nor seemed too concerned that they had screwed up. Fine, people make mistakes. Somebody probably misplaced an order, was having a bad day, something. I somewhat reluctantly had to use them again, this time on a rush order for an important client. The brochures looked like garbage, color was awful, and a couple rounds of tweaking color yielded almost no improvement. Their frustration with my insistence on trying to match the color was palpable (sorry, but if the color is way off on important marketing materials, you've gotta be willing to work it a bit.) We were up against the clock at this point so I finally just said go. When I did get the brochures they were grouped and paper-clipped in such a way that the fronts and backs of the outer brochures were scratched to hell. Paper-clipped?! Perhaps next time you could just crumple them up individually and throw them in a box for me. At least that would be kind of funny. On top of all that, there was a billing discrepancy too complicated to explain here. Suffice it to say that I believe it to be another misunderstanding (resulting in me paying a few hundred dollars more than I anticipated), which is unfortunate. However, their absolute stubbornness and refusal to budge an inch, not to mention their rudeness along the way, was enough to guarantee that I never do business with them again. read more

I love this place! I go to Rocket for all of my needs... Fliers, Posters, Stickers and T-shirts. They are INCREDIBLY fast and everything is great quality. When I placed a T-shirt order they let me mix and match different styles and colors of shirts for no extra charge. I told them I needed them ASAP and they definitely delivered. Great place, friendly, helpful, and very affordable! (Definitely not a cookie cutter corporate store!) Their prices were around 25-30% lower than the other "corporate" store in downtown Royal Oak. This place is awesome! I called in to ask if they do small prints and they said they would do anything from a penny size all the way to a 12 ft size! I've been to a few other print shops and they always demand a certain size or it can't be done. So I emailed this crew about how big of a print I needed and what my intended use was and they assured me it would meet my standards or exceed them. :-) I go pick up my prints and they were perfect! Down to the last detailed request! And it was under 20 bucks! Will be coming back when I need more stuff printed! The vinyl sticker is nice and clean cut. I put this on my bicycle where I ride this thing everywhere from a super rainy day up to a blazing hot evening. I've gotten many compliments where people think they sticker I got from them is part of the original paint! Haha. So it's a very good quality. I gave them 4 stars because the workmanship and final product was the best. The missing star was because their parking lot is tiny and my car got hit while I had the right away.. Some idiot in a Cadillac did not even check his rear view mirrors or sides ones and just decided to back up while I was waiting to turn out on to the street. Not their fault but it was a bad experience finding them and parking in such a cramped parking lot. Thank for your work guys! read more

The only reason they don't get a 5 star is because there isn't a formal way to send your documents online. We signed up for an event last minute and had to rush rush rush to get some cards & photographs printed last second, they worked with our crazy schedule and were very polite and helpful regardless of the fact that we were that nightmare client. They can pretty much do anything so I can't wait to come up with some crazy UV/Matte/Die cut business cards and have them make them! read more

Rude!! Owner is very condescending & will talk down to you!! Not very good costumer service!! I will never step foot into this establishment again!! They tried ripping me off!! A huge waste of time!! Walked out very disappointed & offended!! I was just making color copies & trying to print double sided. I asked for help and the rude lady told me to put a red mark on one side and to keep printing until I get it the way I wanted them to print! I did that & it took several tries before I got it right! (Anyone who has tried to print something double sided knows what I'm talking about) when I went to pay for the prints they tried to charge me for the misprints & then asked why I didn't ask for help in which I replied & told them I did the rude Goth girl lied right in front of my face & said I never asked for help! The Jerk behind the counter tried to say I was stealing if I didn't pay for the defective ones!! What kind of business sense is this to threaten your costumers to satisfy your greed for a couple pennies! Walked out wasting an hour at this stupid business!! Until today I would have agreed with all of these positive reviews. I had two items printed. One item had an error of mine in it. While I was talking to two people at the counter trying to figure out what I should do (a man I believe to be the owner) started yelling at me from across the room. I could tell the two I was speaking with felt badly about what was said to me but were not able or unwilling to speak up. I paid for my worthless printing and left. I will never return. read more
