At first I was joyed that there was an available local computer store run by competent people. Then…read moreI took a computer in there for their "free evaluation". yeah, that was a waste of time and a joke to boot. I already knew what the problem was (a blown motherboard), I simply wanted it confirmed before I dropped the $100+ to have the MB replaced. Well, they did confirm it (for free, per their "free evaluation"), after several days (which wasn't the complaint), but then they wouldn't release the computer back to us until almost a week later because they refused to accept my money to replace the motherboard (yes, I know it was a cheap POS system, but it wasn't mine and that's all that person could afford then so I took it in for them) and instead tried to browbeat me (and the computer's owner) into "upgrading" into one of their systems at over a thousand dollars. dock 2 stars for that. 3 stars overall.

I had used JD's service at least two times in the past and his service was fast, reliable and…read morepriced accordingly. I recently tried to replace my water inlet valve on my washing machine, (just trying to save $$),needless to say I had no luck reassembling the machine. I called JD, explained my issue and was promptly told that he was not going to touch my machine, he said it was an insult to his work that I didn't contact him first before attempting to fix it myself, I explained that I didn't mean to insult his business but was only trying to save money. I made a mistake and I was very willing to pay him whatever the cost would be. Needless to say I threw away his business card that I've had attached to my fridge for a long time. I feel terrible about his response to my request for service.

I unfortunately had a failing hard drive on my Mac desktop and Apple Support gave me two choices of places who are Apple Certified to make repairs. I first called the one which is 5 minutes from my work and was treated extremely poorly and given little to no information on pricing or timeline on fixing the problem. I called Digital Medics in Davison, MI, and was able to talk immediately to a repairman/service provider. Dylan was very helpful in answering all of my questions, gave me a estimated price, as well as a timeline of how long the repair would take. Drop off and pick up was easy and went smoothly. My Mac works amazingly now. I have already recommended Digital Medics to my friends and family. The drive of 45 minutes was worth the trip! read more
