My husband of 40 years passed away 3/13/2020. We were unable to have a memorial due to the stay at home order. His Celebration of Life was scheduled in early October. I contacted Judy through a referral and was so happy I did. She was so wonderful to work with. She eased my anxiety through the process of creating the video production of picking out pictures and music. I felt as if I was working with a close friend. The Celebration of Life for my husband was beautiful. The video production was outstanding. We were unsure whether we should break up the segments according to his beginning, middle or latter years or play the video through for nine minutes. She gave me both options. At the Celebration of Life, the video played for nine minutes and captivated everyone's heart. I have never seen anything so beautiful. My husband was a musician and artist. I needed to have a lot of pictures scanned to create a book online (shutterfly) for my dad's upcoming birthday. I found Judy on Yelp and couldn't be more pleased with her work. She was accommodating to my schedule to meet and exchange the pictures and was reasonably priced. She did a fantastic job scanning the pictures, some even look better than they did in print! Judy also color-corrected a few that had become red with age and they look brand new! I received the photo book I created today and all of her scannings presented beautifully in the book, can't wait to give it to my dad! I have always been a stage mom, video taping through the years with every format possible. We have not been able to see any of these memories for years, the video cameras don't work, no way to hook them up, etc. so what do I do when your daughter says all she wants for her birthday is to see those memories! I had many tapes of my son, over the years, and wanted to have them transferred to DVDs. The problem was they needed a little editing and I didn't want to give my precious memories to some impersonal company where I wouldn't know who'd be doing the project. Nothing like the present to capture wonderful memories of the past. I found a collection of 8mm rolls in our parents basement. I decided to check out Yelp to see if there was anyone who could transfer them for me. It must have been divine intervention when I came upon the rave reviews for Digital Pix USA. I phoned Judy to see if she could help me out. Along with the 8mm rolls we did have some mini dv tapes to transfer to a dvd as well. I mailed everything to Judy for her review. Right from the start Judy was filled with ideas that made the end product such an enormous success!! Last night my husband and I viewed the DVD titled fittingly "La Famiglia"....("the family" in Italian) With tears in our eyes we cried and laughed all at the same time. What we saw and heard filled our senses. There is no way I could ever give to Judy what she has given to us. We decided that our entire family had to have a copy of this DVD. As part of our journey towards a minimalist lifestyle, we asked Judy to scan 513 family photos onto a SD card, from which we uploaded the pictures to our computer and onto a USB stick. We are now able to view the photos on our 15 inch digital frame, and we love it! In a sad time of our life Judy created a wonderful cd memorial of my uncle that passed away. Not only did she include his photos, but also put together some of his commercials, and bits from shows he was in. Judy at Digital Pix USA has done two different projects for me. The first one, was to scan photos of my father's life, which would become a movie with the photo montage set to his favorite music, as a gift for his 90th birthday. She unravelled my mess of photos and albums, editing the photos into a 30 minute movie, which also contained an extra CD of scanned photos for me to keep. The movie was delivered when promised, right on schedule. Everyone at his birthday party was so impressed with the movie and my Dad was completely surprised and shocked at his great birthday gift. The second job that Judy performed was to scan about a hundred antique photos and create a CD for me to keep, as well as one to send another family member. I refer back to this CD all the time, since it has the same photo saved in different resolutions, one small, just for emails and posting online, one file of high resolution and one file just for printing, all organized and easy to find. Her professional scanner has a much higher resolution than my everyday one at home, so I really appreciate the CDs that she creates for me. I will be ordering restorations on some of my antique photos, for example, to digitally remove ink spots so I could have a better image of a treasured photo. She provided a proof sheet with costs for restoration on each photo, if it was necessary. I am confident that Judy will do an outstanding job on the restoration and look forward to the seeing the results. I met Judy by accident when we moved to Southern California - it was my good fortune! My son named his son after my Grandfather- our family's patriarch - a noted Cincinnati businessman and philanthropist in his day. I knew I needed to compose something to introduce my Grandson to the man for whom he was named. Fact is, though, I had this enormous box filled with giant certificates and awards, little telegrams from presidents, personal pictures, etc., etc., a mix-mash of stuff in all sizes that intimidated me so, that I never even got started. THEN I met Judy! Judy not only scanned every item in the box, sometimes having to scan certificates in quarters and recreate into a manageable size, but she organized the entire box by date and organization with which my Grandfather was involved- maybe 20 of them? An amazing task for which I could not be more grateful.. Using both Judy's as well as her printed pages of them, I was able to design pages for a memorable album for an online company that turned out so well my sister and I ordered a book for each of our children and Grandchildren. Without Judy's expertise, this heirloom would never have been a possibility. Judy is such a gracious person and so easy to work with that I have just sent her all our old VHS tapes and DVDs of our family history to edit into something more creative less unwieldy. I trust her judgement implicitly and look forward to presenting a new CD as family Christmas gifts. Maybe, since this new version will be less than three volumes, the kids will actually watch them! Yelp won't let me give 10 stars, but I will give 5 stars to Judy at Digital Pix for the work she did on the pictures for my Dad's 95th Birthday party. She was even kind enough to come to my house, go over the photos and then meet me several other times when I found additional photos I wanted to include in the slide show. She restored and made copies of a photo of my maternal grandmother which none of her grandchildren had ever seen and which I presented to my cousins and siblings at my Dad's party. She restored a 91 year-old photo of a photo of a photo of my Dad on a pony back to it's original brilliance. Her passion for her work is evident. The slide show was captivating!
