If you've ever lived in the Twin Cities, which I have, you necessarily develop an in-depth…read moreknowledge of the quality of Target stores. They are easier to find there than Starbucks. And this is a pretty good Target. It's clean and they actually have a pretty good selection. The movies and TV DVDs are prices really well - you can find a lot of awesome stuff there really cheap. And you can often find deals on pop that are just as good, if not better than, the deals you can find at other stores (and definitely better than Walmart). I've purchased an immense amount of crap from this place. I like it.

I want to give a special shout-out to Chris, an associate at Target in Marion, IL. This store is…read morealways immaculate and well-stocked, with a good selection of reasonably priced items. Once I finished shopping, I was privileged to be in the checkout line to witness Target employee Chris interacting with the customers ahead of me. He was so professional and friendly, handling each person as if he knew them, issuing a warm smile with every interaction. I saw other Target associates come to him asking when to take their breaks or how to handle a particular issue. Chris quickly answered them without losing track of the task or customer in front of him. When it was my turn in line, I asked him how long he had been in management because he looked so young. To my surprise, he told me that he was not a manager. I wish more people with customer service jobs took the time to engage with those around them, as Chris at Target in Marion, IL, does. If you value excellent customer service, a wide selection of products, and value for your money, see Chris and the folks at Target. When you go by, tell them Kindra Speech sent ya!

What a difference a small town Walmart is compared to the big city…read more I've been in this specific store at least a half dozen times in the past few weeks and every time the employees have been pleasant. They are always stocking and refreshing shelves. There's always been baskets, wipes masks and sanitizer at the front entrance. Truly a breath of fresh air. Great job!

Complaint Regarding Auto Care Center Service - Marion, IL Walmart…read more I am writing to report an unacceptable experience at the Walmart Auto Care Center in Marion, Illinois involving two employees, Lilly and Kenny. I am a small teenage girl and was treated rudely, dismissively, and unprofessionally when I came in alone regarding a tire that blew out after only three months of use. I had purchased Walmart tires along with the Road Hazard Warranty, yet I was given multiple, conflicting explanations about what the warranty covered, none of which were clear or consistent. When I returned with my stepfather, the employees' attitudes immediately changed. They became polite and helpful, which made it clear that I was treated differently based on my age, size, and appearance. Other customers present were also confused by the explanations given about the warranty, and one customer even canceled their own warranty after witnessing how the situation was handled. I am not seeking anyone's termination. I am requesting that employees receive proper training on Walmart's warranty policies and customer service expectations. No customer should be treated differently or spoken to disrespectfully under any circumstances.

I absolutely love Dollar Tree. I might add that I've only been to the location at the corner of N…read more Court and West Main in Marion, Illinois. Let me count the ways I love Dollar Tree: 1- The 2-pak frozen/uncooked beef patties (1/4 pound (4 oz.)). 2- The 4 oz frozen/uncooked salmon fillet. 3- The huge bag of Brim's popcorn. 4- The little bags of Jasmine rice. 5- The 22 oz. cans of beans. On the downside there's no guarantee that an item will not mysteriously disappear, as in the case of corn chips (Frito style), or incense sticks. Once my dearest Jasmine rice took a vacation from the shelf for 5 months. I'll mention that the Sunbeam batteries are a joke. But yet the Sunbeam brand LED lightbulbs I can confirm are great, although they only come in "warm" and never "cool" luminous style... and sadly they disappeared here before I could get my whole house rigged the energy saving LED way :-( darn it! But I patiently await their return, although that wait might be futile, for I'm told by the Manager that Tuesday Truck Day is always a surprise for her as to what might and might not be on the load, as it's all decided by the inventory computer at headquarters. And of course Dollar Tree will drop an item if its wholesale price gets too close to $1, lol! So my advice is to load up on a thing like LED lights while you can if you've got the money. In my case I was trying to swing it in four trips over a few months because of my budget, and be darned if they weren't gone when I made my third try... and gone ever since. Also be aware that Dollar Tree might be rivaling Wal-Mart insofar as a good percentage of their patrons seem swell with wandering inside wearing pajamas and sort of shuffle around in a catatonic daze. And do keep your children close and under control, because frequently there are mountains of goods in boxes awaiting stocking, and as Dollar Tree keeps a skeleton staff on every shift this stuff piles up REALLY bad when someone quits which is often. Dollar Tree: It'll Do Ya Fine!
