Once I finished shopping, I was privileged to be in the checkout line to witness Target employee Chris interacting with the customers ahead of me. He was so professional and friendly, handling each person as if he knew them, issuing a warm smile with every interaction. I saw other Target associates come to him asking when to take their breaks or how to handle a particular issue. Chris quickly answered them without losing track of the task or customer in front of him. When it was my turn in line, I asked him how long he had been in management because he looked so young. To my surprise, he told me that he was not a manager. I wish more people with customer service jobs took the time to engage with those around them, as Chris at Target in Marion, IL, does. I am a small teenage girl and was treated rudely, dismissively, and unprofessionally when I came in alone regarding a tire that blew out after only three months of use. I had purchased Walmart tires along with the Road Hazard Warranty, yet I was given multiple, conflicting explanations about what the warranty covered, none of which were clear or consistent. When I returned with my stepfather, the employees' attitudes immediately changed. They became polite and helpful, which made it clear that I was treated differently based on my age, size, and appearance. Other customers present were also confused by the explanations given about the warranty, and one customer even canceled their own warranty after witnessing how the situation was handled. I am not seeking anyone's termination. I am requesting that employees receive proper training on Walmart's warranty policies and customer service expectations. No customer should be treated differently or spoken to disrespectfully under any circumstances.

We bought two different Glock 9mm pistols for conceal carry. They gave us special guidance to help my wife find a semi-automatic pistol that she could easily rack and fit her hand size well. They helped us navigate Illinois' onerous FOID requirements and had our guns waiting after the IL delay period. They also held back 9 mm ammo for also after there was a run on ammo with the covid pandemic and summer rioting to ensure we had ammo after buying the guns. I had previously tried to buy the guns at Gander Mountain and I waited over an hour for one person to wait on me who was not nearly as knowledgable and the prices were significantly higher at Gander Mountain even with the Sam's Club discount there. This is the only place I will buy guns and ammo in Southern Illinois.
