The Head of the department refused my purchase because I had given the sales person a tube of what I needed and she was so dumb she couldn't find the item. I had to go find the item for her then when I wanted my tube back, she claimed she couldn't find it so I said well is she stealing my tube? It took them an hour and a half looking through security cameras, and I kept saying just go look behind the counter and they would not look! So finally, I just went and walked behind the counter myself and there it was sitting right as I said it would be! I believe she was trying to steal it from me and then when I prove this they refused to allow me to make my purchases! I had to call Dillards in other cities, explain how I was treated and then they honored the sale. Worst part about it is she was a Latino woman dressed to look like exactly Kristie Noem secretary of Homeland security in a camo baseball hat. And this is a dept mgr? Wearing a camo baseball cap to work! That is disgustingly! Dillard's services is supposed to be to a high end clientele with those prices, so stop giving ghetto service! No wonder malls are going broke! They turn down sales! This was reverse discrimination. I'm old while lady. She is young Latina! And this is the third or fourth time I've had the same problem in the same store where I am discriminated against by Latina sales people. My proof is the black security officer comes and tells me every single time what they said and did to you is not right! They aren't treating you right in this store and you shouldn't be treated like this, why do you shop here?!!! It must be a difficult store to work with all the people always in the store. I think it's universal, though. I've shopped Big Lots in Florida and Texas, as well, and all the staffers are friendly. Here is a store that usually has international groceries such as noodles and sauces from Malaysia, biscuits/cookies and stollen from Germany, and pasta from Italy. They also have groceries from the U.S.A. Of course, it's all about the deals and they have plenty of them. A word of caution is necessary. A few years ago, I noticed that they started to carry full price items and interspersed them with their discounted liquidation items. If you don't compare, you may be paying full price. In this town, there are few places to shop and Big Lots can undercut WalMart and Kmart easily, even at those stores' lowest prices. You've heard the cautionary statement "You get what you pay for"? It can be very true, at any of those stores. Name brands matter. Check for quality. Don't assume anything.

I was hoping for a board game, but again that department is primarily stuff for small children. Clothing? Mostly work gear, men's jeans, plain T shirts, thick socks etc. This last visit I had success with some closeout Del Monte canned vegetables and tomato products but overall the food items don't really seem all that cheap. Disappointingly, they do not have even one electric scooter shopping cart for people with mobility issues. The staff members are very sweet and pleasant and there is usually an adequate number of them. It is fun to roam around in here every couple of months, as you might possibly find a hidden gem. Just don't get your hopes up too high. I would say if you have numerous small children on your gift list, you'll probably be satisfied.

The girl was obviously struggling and instead of teaching her the older lady raised her voice and told her she can't use that printer and that it was the wrong one, the girl calmly replied where she got it from and the older lady looked at her for a moment and continued to be agressive and rude stating she had to use her own printer (or something along those lines.) The line was busy enough that the other costumer getting checked out by the young girl told her she was doing a great job and some people should just be nicer to their coworkers and I totally agree. If this is what your employee treats others like in front of costumer I can't imagine what she does when no one's around. Coming from another retail associate I know what being looked down upon feels like just because older people think they have more authority than you and it's sad to see. Hopefully next time you can teach your employees to treat their coworkers with respect and uplift eachother instead of putting eachother down. It's sadly amusing that they have a billboard you can see from I-70 touting the 20+ stores. I even feel bad for the seniors walking the mall. It's so small that older people can walk the whole mall in 20 minutes. (I'd been a regular in malls with 250+ stores.) The only reason I go there is Carlos' Pizza and OfficeMax. Update: Sears has closed and J C Penney isn't that busy, ever. American Eagle and Aeropostale probably get the most business, even in such a poor town. Carlos' Pizza seems to be closed, along with the coffee place.

She did not apologized or try to rectify the situation. She simply stated that she doesn't like people and that she couldn't do anything about it. I suggested a solution that I used when I was a cashier in high school. She then repeated that she doesn't like people. My hometown TSC has nice staff, but a miserable backbreaking layout.
