OMG!!! This Walmart is the WORSE I have ever been in. I was passing by and wanted a snack but everyone was so rude. No one wanted to help me. There was also pallets everywhere and one even looked like it was about to topple over. Safety hazard if you ask me. There was also a lady dressed like a dog at the front. Service tech, Nate, in Walmart tire center was very helpful. Understood our frustration and wait from a flat tire. Manager was not. He needs retrained or replaced as he was unhelpful and seemed to need his attitude adjusted for the better. read more

This is a pretty nice Walmart inside. Not sure why the reviews aren't a bit better. I'm not from this area so I don't know how old the store is but it seemed nice and orderly to me. I couldn't find something so I asked and the employee was nice enough to take me right to it. The store really isn't visible from the road because it sits so far off the road. Lots of parking along with lots of different stores to go to while your at Walmart. read more

I'd rate one star if i could. Chrissy - general manager- is a raging c*nt. I don't use that word lightly. She has NO customer service skills and needs to be fired immediately. Haylee was an ABSOLUTE doll. She was very courteous and helpful. If you're reading this, i wish you nothing but the best. Please know this isn't the end of the line for you and there ARE better employers out there!! We are tourists from Virginia. We attempted to purchase alcohol (my whole group is 21+) and because Haylee is underage, and can't sell it, we had to wait for Chrissy. She MOSEYS on over (taking her SWEEEEET time), stops to talk to her friend, and then comes over to help us. We had been waiting almost 10 minutes at this point. She takes my brothers ID and can't seem to decipher how old he is. I said "the birthdate is at the bottom" , she says okay and looks down at the bottom. After staring at the ID for another minute, my mom says "*his birthdate*". Chrissy slow turns her head and proceeds to say "I know" in a very sarcastic tone. At this point Haylee apologizes for Chrissy's behavior. This might not seem like much but please know that her body language and tone of voice had A LOT to do with this interaction. She was incredibly stand-offish and seemed like it was an inconvenience to come help us. read more

I go to this walmart all the time because I live very close. However, every walmart that I've ever been in doesn't seem to care about the customers. Their employee shoppers are rude, take up the isles, and completely ignore you. Their prices are all over the place. Up one week , down the next. No help anywhere in the store. You can't find something. You are on your own! After all this, you then have to ring up and bag all your purchases. But I'm telling you, if you make a mistake while ringing up something, you will get 17 employees over there in a heartbeat. And the final blow, after you are exhausted and have little to no fight left, there's the receipt nazi! The employee at the exit is just waiting to grab your receipt and examine it like an IRS audit. I seriously think a couple of them might throat punch you if they found a mistake. It's no wonder that when I get outside, I feel like Andy Dufresne in The Shawshank Redemption. read more

Lots of parking and the shelves were stocked I have no complaints I use the self checkouts so I normally don't have to wait in line. If you go in the morning you can normally find markdowns. read more

This store delivered an item at my door that I did not order. Being an honest person, I called them to inform them of this, and that they could pick it back up at my door. However, the rude customer service lady advised me it was MY responsibility to bring the item back to the store, they would not pick it up. When I asked why they could not pick it up, she got huffy, offered no thank you for the call, and hung up. Unbelievably poor service, especially for whomever actually ordered the item. read more

The Pharmcy service is very slow, bad attitudes from the worker, she has brown hair back in pony tail big and husky very unprofessional, she the female pharmacist are very nasty and rude, and do alot of whispering in front of customers and laughing, just too unprofessional for me, also the foreign woman is also very very very slow she needs to be trained or moved from that position. I'm definitely taking my business to meijer pharmacy where I hear they really know how to treat all their customers. read more

I hate that almost all of the checkouts at my local store are self checkouts now. When these were first introduced, they were promoted for convenience, for example, you would use them if you only had a few items and were in a hurry. Now people are lined up with huge baskets of items, and so many have multiple problems it takes forever. Also, no matter what anyone says, it's taking people's jobs away. I made a mistake recently on the self scanner and charged one item twice. I was trying to hurry because of the long line behind me with a crying baby and fussy toddlers. I didn't notice the mistake until later, and because I don't have a car it took me over a week to get back. When I showed it to the customer service clerk, she said it was too late to give me my money back. Watch your receipts if you're unfortunate enough to go there! read more

This Walmart is underrated since it's renovation, has been cleaned up a lo. overall a very clean store now with very nice and professional managers doing everything they possibly can to make a good experience for the customers! 10/10 would definitely recommend shopping here. read more

There is never enough motorized carts for the disabled. You have to shop late at night to even have a chance at getting one. Half the Cash Registers are Self-Checkouts, with only one manned Register available late at night. The Employees can also be rude, and discriminate certain customers. I'm NEVER shopping at this store ever again. I'll stick to buying my milk at the Gas Station. read more

Forget this store if you are handicapped and need a motorized shopping cart. I have been to this store seven times in the past few months and am never able to shop due to lack of motorized scooters. I have asked store associates for help in finding a cart, but was told that they were "not allowed" to assist with that. I wonder if they just don't have enough handicapped carts, if cart gatherers aren't doing their job, or if people are just abusing the use of these scooters. My guess is a combination of these factors. If you are handicapped, my suggestion would be to skip Walmart and visit Richmond's Meijer. They almost always have handicapped carts available. read more

Yesterday I went to the Richmond Walmart because my grandson's bicycle that we bought him for Christmas had a pedal break off and in the process, he wrecked and not only did it twist the bike up but his face smacked the concrete and he also skinned his elbow and knee front and back, I have photos. Anyway because the bicycle was ordered and shipped to the store on December 9th and we can't really prove that he didn't even ride it until February because he didn't live here and it's Indiana, they said that they wouldn't take it back even though the bike was just six days beyond the date of purchase warranty. So I hauled the bike back to my vehicle and continued to shop. I decided to go back and find a bike like his so I could look at the warranty and a nice man named Paul asked my situation and seemed astonished that customer service would not exchange the bicycle. He offered to do what he could and although he adjusted the brakes and replaced the pedal, the bicycle is so twisted because of the wreck that my grandson cannot ride it and his face is still healing. I, like the gentleman who works for Walmart is pretty amazed that Walmart was unwilling to assist us, so we are out for literally a brand new bike and definitely will not buy our next one there. Thank you Paul for your willingness to try and help us, truly a show of customer service. Now we will have to try to go to the manufacturer in Taiwan for resolution. Lesson learned!!!!!!! read more

Walmart - Congratulations! You have lost a customer. I vow never to shop here again. No longer will I tolerate the Gestapo practices some of your "customer service" associates have taken upon themselves to implement and/or enforce. My husband and I went to the Walmart in Richmond, Indiana, around 6:30p.m. on Friday, 9/25/15. We gathered our purchases, last of which was an 8pk of beer. My husband selected the beer from the shelf and HE carried it to the checkout line. On our way to the checkout line, our son pulled me away, two lanes over, to the aisle displaying various novelty items like Pokémon cards and Minecraft key chains. During this time, my husband placed the merchandise on the conveyor belt. The cashier, an underage girl named Kimber, could not complete the transaction because of the beer. Sally, the CSM, came and carded my husband. He presented his ID and proceeded to swipe the debit card he pulled from HIS wallet. Seeing the items had been bagged and it appeared we were ready to leave, I gathered my son and headed to the checkout line. Upon arrival, Sally curtly demanded to see my ID. Mind you, the transaction was in the final stage. My husband had already presented HIS ID, and HIS debit card with HIS name on it had already been swiped. At no point did I ever touch the beer, motion towards the beer, speak of the beer. There was no reason for Sally to suspect this beer was being purchased for me and she had no logical reason to request my ID. Seeing that my husband had not yet completed the transaction, I told him to stop. I handed Sally my ID to validate my age, and I told her we will not be purchasing anything from this store. My husband selected "No" on the screen that asks you to confirm your total, Sally handed my ID back, and we moved towards the exit doors, only to be chased down by Sally who told us the transaction had somehow been completed and we needed to collect our bags. My husband collected our bags, and we headed directly to the Customer Service department where I politely asked for, and received, a full refund without incident. After we left, we went to Meijer and purchased the same items. Because of the "policy" of this local Walmart, I will continue to take my business to Meijer, even though I end up paying a few dollars more. The gracious customer service I receive from Meijer more than makes up for the slight price increase. So please tell me, how does Walmart justify ID'ing people when NO transaction has taken place between said person and the business? I wasn't in the aisle when he picked it up. I did not handle the merchandise at any point. We did not use a cart so the argument of communal property is void. The debit card came from my husband's wallet and bears his name. I did not participate at any point, and yet Sally still felt compelled to insist I produce an ID card after her transaction with my husband had reached its end. Can you please explain why your CSM's actions were valid given the circumstances? I'm having a hard time discerning the rationale behind her demands. I'm a mother of three small children. Halloween, birthdays, and Christmas are fast approaching. Because of Sally's lack of judgment, your Richmond store just lost out on a potential few thousand dollars' worth of sales within the next few months. It might seem insignificant in the grand scheme of things, but if this practice continues, others will follow. The profit loss will exponentially increase as one mother of three becomes a thousand mothers' of three. Walmart might want to reevaluate their store policies and the approach their employees take to implement such policies. No business is too big to fail, and the ecommerce business is booming with no end in sight. It is no longer a burden for the consumer to take their business elsewhere as distance is no longer a factor determining the range of shops one can visit. There is nothing that I can purchase in your store that I cannot purchase online or in a competitor's store. read more
