I have been attending Dilliard Chiropractic since I was a little kid. I have some back issues and he keeps everything in check for me so that I am pain free and not sick all the time. I wouldn't go anywhere else. I have had to use other chiropractors before, (I wasn't living in CA for 4 years) and they just accepted me into their office, did some back popping and although it relieved the pain, it came back eventually and sometimes even worse. Dr. Dilliard doesn't do that. Just recently, I finally convinced my husband to go to the Chiropractor because he has been in severe pain since high school. Mainly his neck and upper back area. Just after one adjustment he began to feel better. Which is a big deal for him, he's the kinda guy who isn't very easily convinced nor will he go to the Dr for anything less than a major injury. He just finally couldn't handle the constant pain of being hurt. One thing that I really like about Dr. Dilliard is that he doesn't want to just see you, crack your back and throw you out the door. Life-changing! I have had chronic back pain for 20 years. This includes frequent episodes of my back "going out" to the point where i sometimes have to use a walker to get around my house. I quit being seen by doctors years ago for acute episodes because they just pushed muscle relaxers and opioids which only mask the problem, and I refused to take them. In the last 3 years, the acute episodes worsened both in frequency and the time it took to subside, and I still got little help from doctors. By the time I went to Dillard Chiropractic, I was in the second week of an acute episode where my legs were weak, I couldn't stand up straight, and walking was excruciating. I had never had an episode last this long and actually worried that I would never be back to normal again. From day 1, I received more care and compassion from every single member of the Dilliard staff from reception to aids to the chiropractorsc themselves than I had received since the day this started more than 20 years ago. My xrays were a mess from neck to sacrum, and they started me on a corrective treatment plan designed to help me get better. After two months my back has felt better than it has in years, and, for the first time in years, I am hopeful for future progress. I have no doubt that had i followed the medical treatment plan, I would be addicted to opioids right now. I only wish I had found Dillard Chiropractic sooner. Went here today on referral of a friend. Spent nearly two hours there filling out paperwork and the doctor felt around (not Dr. Dilliard, the other one), did X rays. Had expected same day treatment, got NO treatment, NO advice other than "ice", NO stretching recommendations, just a "ok thanks for your xrays, now schedule your next appointment." Shouldn't have to spend an additional week in pain and an additional two hours to feel better. I felt scammed and will not be back. Two hours to get told to use "ice"? This man is amazing! First of all his office immediately booked me same day, faxed me over the paperwork to prepare for my appointment, and even had my insurance information all prepped and ready to make sure i was covered so there was no confusion when i arrived to the office. There is ample parking spaces and the lounge area is simple and close to the restroom. I was placed in a patient exam room, and in came Dr. Dilliard, this man immediately reminded me of Mr. Incredible from "Disney's: The Incredibles" he was witty, very down to earth and actually listened to me, he wasn't concerned with medical diagnosis' but what i felt i was feeling, he wanted to hear "Me, not what other doctors tell you." He made my adjustments, twisting, bending, and snapping and popping with ease and without pain. He explained everything thoroughly and was just an amazing addition to my life and I felt amazing when i stood up from the exam table. His assistant Rose was very very sweet and explained the EMS application to me. Paula was amazing at scheduling my first appt and running my insurance and Dana was kind enough to block out future late afternoon appointments for me to help out my schedule. To top it all off, Dr. Dilliard called me that night to make sure I was feeling fine and that I didn't have adverse reaction to the treatment. Dr. Dilliard is a class-act through and through. I have had horrible back problems since I was a kid and already had the pleasure of going through surgery at the age of 19. FUN! Dr. Dilliard worked with me on a regular basis and made my problems a lot more livable. I have not been back as I switched insurance companies.....He still is VERY affordable for a regular, non-insurance visit (I think $80 now?, but since I have to go at least 1-2 times per week, that adds up a FAST. I am honestly so impressed with Dr. Dilliard and his staff that I don't even know where to begin. I rarely write yelp reviews but this chiropractic office truly deserves 5+++ stars! My review will probably not do them justice; I was so amazed by the level of care last weekend because Dr. Dilliard literally got me back on my feet. I have had lower back pain for approximately 7 weeks now, and I went to urgent care in LA about a few weeks go, they took x-rays and told me everything is looking normal. So then I thought that this issue will eventually resolve itself--it couldn't possibly be anything serious since I'm only 24 and have had no injuries. I thought I was getting better until Saturday came along, when I woke up with excruciating lower back pain to the point where I couldn't move/sit/walk because it was too painful. I called his office for a last minute appointment, about an hour before they were closing, and not only did they schedule me to go in but he stayed past closing time to ensure that I have received the level of care I need for the day. Additionally, he came in on Sunday and Monday, both days in which the office is closed, to adjust me and help me get back on my feet. I had to be back to LA for work on Tuesday and he wanted to make sure I am well enough to survive an 8 hr work shift. I can't iterate enough how genuine, knowledgeable, and caring this man is. While all other doctors were turning me away, Dr. Dilliard was not only able to find the problem but led me on a path to where I can prevent further damage. I am so sad that I have to find another chiropractor because I currently live in LA and was visiting San Diego for the weekend. But I will definitely be visiting his office any time I am in San Diego. If you are trying to get ripped off visit his office. Dr.Dillard tried to rip me off and join his $6,000 plan to fix "sublixation" that I supposedly had have on my back. I visited him because I had severe pain on my back, when I went inside his office his staff was talking to me about sublixation before even getting checked out.. The doctor then came in took xrays and I went home. HE DID NOTHING AT ALL TO RELIVE MY PAIN. All this guy and his staff did was tell me I had severe sublixation on my back and that I have to go on a one year plan that cost 6,000 in order to fix it. I was like Wtf!! I went to another chiropractor and he adjusted me in less than 30 minutes and I was pain free after that. I really cannot tell you how disappointing Dr Dillard was I took my wife under the recommendation from Some friends. Explained to Dr Dillard my wife's apprehension towards chiropractors given the long standing issues with her back and her low tolerance for pain. He assured not a problem he would take good care. After telling my wife that her neck and spine looked terrible and that he was in better shape then her he proceeded with her first adjustment. Mind you my wife is now terrified but was trying to push forward given her current back issues. So Dillard gets my wife into position and attempts her first adjustment with no success other than my wife crying. He then try's his famous technique, slapping the bottom of my wife's feet to distract her so he can perform her adjustment. This is no bull he really did this so my wife is now crying hysterically and so I tell this douche bag we are done and leave his office never to return. This is a 100% true story this guy is terrible with a crappy bedside manner. Please do not put yourself through the pain my wife did. Stay away from this guy he is TERRIBLE. read more

Came here actually because of a free massage coupon I got from my work to come here but I was NEVER able to get my massage. When I called to schedule they said I had to come in for a consult first vist, so I went in and did consult and the did Xrays. Then they scheduled me for Xray reading and my massage. Went in for that. Had the Xray reading, The Chiro comes in and states I need over $5,500 worth of chiropractic care. They wanted me to sign an 11 month contract. I said it's something I need to think about and need to discuss with my doctor due to my health conditions. He says he's worked on people with my condition, it would be ok, the doctor can call him. I felt super pressured and uneasy! It's like I was talking to a car salesman! Then he walks me to the front and tells the girl at the front desk to schedule me for a follow up. Why do I need a follow up if it's something I need to think about and discuss with my doctor. I'll let you guys know when and IF I'm ready! I tell the girl at the front what about my massage? She said, well I don't see you on here for a massage today...So apparently they cancelled my massage, because I choose not to sign their contract for $5,500 worth of care! Then she tells me I can come back for that. What come back AGAIN for my massage so I can be pressured AGAIN then have to do a follow up. No thanks! When I'm ready for chiropractic care I will NOT be going here. They are shady and pushy! And I will make sure my employer knows not to refer here in the future! I really don't think I needed to go thru all of that just for a massage! read more

I went here on an emergency basis, as an out of town visitor; coming here turned out to be a mistake. I had a bad headache from my neck going out, which it does sometimes due to a previous car crash. All I wanted was a simple, effective, one-time adjustment. Every other chiropractor I've been to has been able to heal my headache with a one-time visit; this one did not. The office insisted on x-rays, which was annoying, but I kind of understand why they need them. The paperwork was excessive. The posters in the treatment room were designed to scare patients; they stated that failure to do regular chiropractic would result in long-term disability and death! This is an outright scare tactic and should not be permitted. This is a hard sell to get patients to commit to long-term, regular chiropractic care, which in my case, and I'm sure in many other cases, is not needed. Another aspect of the hard sell was a long lecture on the importance of regular chiropractic care-- clearly a conflict of interest, since they are profiting from regular visits. I've never been subjected to this kind of thing by any other chiropractor, and I've probably been to a dozen over the years. The chiropractor and staff were pleasant, but Dr. Dilliard's very short treatment, using a clicking device, seemed too brief. He may use this device because it's easier on him than manual manipulation, which always helps me. He never used his hands on me directly, although this technique has always worked for me in the past. Moreover, during my too-brief treatment, he was talking with staff the entire time; I felt he should have given me his full attention for the brief time he treated me. No other chiropractor I've seen has done this. Unbelievably, the next day, my headache was WORSE: something that has NEVER happened in my 22 years of occasional chiropractic care with other chiropractors. Not only did the Dilliard treatment not work, it made me worse. I had to find another emergency chiropractor. This time, the treatment did work. I received an unsolicited email from Dilliard recently, stressing the importance of regular chiropractic care as a way to help prevent COVID: pretty unbelievable, since there is no evidence of a connection between the coronavirus and lack of chiropractic care. This seemed like an attempt to profit off peoples' fear of the virus. There was no unsubscribe link on the email, which may be illegal. read more

I have not met a human as nice as Dr. Dilliard. Dr. Dilliard cared for a client of mine for over two years. We had to take the case to trial. Dr. Dilliard took the time out of his extremely busy schedule and thoroughly and patiently explained to me what the patients diagnosis were. On the day of the trial, we had to call Dr. Dilliard to the stand out of order. I called Dr. Dilliard at 12:15 p.m. for him to testify at 1:30. I could not believe and had tears in my eyes when Dr. Dilliard decided to reschedule his busy schedule on such short notice. I am naturally a skeptical person and a chiropractor wasn't the first visit we made when my wife developed nerve pain in her back and neck. We went to a doctor who gave her pain meds and prescribed time off of work. A family member recommended Dr. Dilliard. Because we weren't looking to develop a opiate addiction we gave him a chance. With the first adjustment the pain was alleviated. After going over x-rays we set up a treatment plan and her back has been much better ever since. read more

I am right handed, had been having a tight neck and many years of being on the phone with out a head set mixed in with a few broken bones and was not feeling a good range of motion. I was introduced to Dr. Dillard and he set up an appointment for a consultation. He recommended that I bring my wife, which seemed weird at first, however he wanted to have a loved one there and I am glad he did since I am not the best at describing my medical issues. They asked questions and took x-rays. After his review he showed me the results and luckily nothing was too wrong, however he had recommendations of how to relieve some pain and start to realign some bones. I signed up with a year plan and liked the fact that his office was in East County where I live and close to a freeway exit. He also is open on Saturday's which is nice to go if needed. A combination of his positive feedback and monitoring of my condition with adjustments, electric stimulation of the muscles and a foam neck stabilizer thing helped get me on the right track and improve my walking gait or tracking. I really learned a lot from him and he has inspired me to be more aware with my body as far as paying attention to alignment and pains and to always feel free to contact his staff if an adjustment is needed. read more

This is going to be a long one, but I wish I would have known prior. I was really excited to go here after reading all the good reviews. I have been looking for a chiropractor out here for a while, and finally got time and patience to set an appointment up. It took me about a week to get in for an appointment, which I didn't mind because I read so much positive stuff... So I get in, it takes a while before I actually get back... Again, they were busy so I let it go. I went back and went through a bunch of questions and x rays... The assistant who was helping me was nice, but kept talking over me which drives me absolutely mad. I also got really annoyed when I was trying to tell her and the chiropractor what I actually knew was wrong and they both dismissed me as if I don't know what is wrong with my body, that had actually been diagnosed by a real doctor (chiropractors aren't doctors, sorry). Some other guy came in and I don't even know who he was, but he completely rubbed me he wrong was and made me uncomfortable.. I should have realized after the first visit not to go back for my "results" but I thought I was just being impatient and I decided to give it another shot. I go back, and they tell me I would get an adjustment, but told me I needed over 70 treatments to be "fixed" and tried to get me to sign a treatment contract. I explained that I just wanted to come in every week or two for an adjustment, with my busy schedule I can't commit to more, and it was an issue over and over... They went back and forth and tried to see if they could make it work, and were telling me that it wouldn't be effective treatment, etc... I was there about 45 minutes and my better senses took over and I walked out. I had read one bad review before I went and wish I would have listened. I'm not willing to commit to over $5k worth of care when I wasn't comfortable there from day one. I was trying to play it day by day but was not happy with the service and this was not the place for me. After I left the chiropractor left me a three minute long voicemail telling me he couldn't believe I had just left... If you're trying to get in a contract and be talked into extra services, by all means check this place out. As someone who has medical experience, I felt they were trying to push extra services on me. read more

I was extremely apprehensive of chiropractors. My medical doctor actually told me twice I should try before I actually went. I was referred here from a friend. It has been the most pleasant experience. I had extreme lower back pain. Dr. Dilliard made a long term treatment plan for me and was very thorough. Everyone in the office is very friendly. The office was recently remodeled and it looks great. They are ALWAYS on time which is a huge plus for me because I run an very difficult and busy schedule. They are extremely flexible with rescheduling and setting expectations as far as how long each visit will be. I have zero back pain now. This experience has also made me focus a lot on my health and making sure I change the behaviors that caused the pain. I still go for continued adjustments, but it has been such a positive experience that I have began to refer others. They have made me a patient for life! read more

After reading so many positive reviews, I felt this chiropractor was worth visiting. I felt pretty good, but had a pinched nerve in the middle of my back. After 2 visits, I felt worse than when I first arrived--really tight neck muscles and headache. The staff, however, is friendly and the offices are very nice. But my husband and I felt the costs were expensive and the presentation is a "dooms-day" report. But to each his own. read more

When I went to Dillard Chiropractic my first disappointment was when the results of my x-rays and 1st exam were reviewed by a staff member, not by either chiropractor. The staff member then proceeded to tell me I had multiple serious problems with my spine and that they recommended years of treatment which would have cost thousands, even with insurance. I had not yet had a single treatment and they tried to convince me to pay the total amount for years of service to receive a discount! Fortunately, I was smart enough to know I needed to see how my body reacted to their treatments, and it was not good. I have been going to chiropractors for over 30 years and I had more discomfort after Dr. Dilliard's treatments than any other chiropractor I've ever seen. The one positive I will say is that he is available by phone if there are problems and he gave me stretches which helped alleviate the pain. After Dr. Dilliard and his staff told me I had serious problems which they would need years to correct, I felt worried and depressed about the state of my spine. I took my x-rays to an Orthopedic specialist as well as another chiropractor who said totally the opposite. They both said there were normal signs of aging (I'm almost 60) but that there was nothing of major concern and everything was basically normal. The chiropractor I saw had heard of Dr. Dilliard and said unfortunately he has a reputation of having a practice focused on making money. read more
