When I first started going to Paula, my hair was damaged from a previous stylist (tracks and glue, smh), but Paula helped me transition from damage to health with a plethora of protective styles. With sew-ins, she's super quick and uses a hot iron curling rod (idk the proper term) so that the curls hold well for the next few days. With silk presses, she manages to get hair bone straight from root to tip, and once you wash your hair-- if it's natural-- your hair will easily revert to its natural curl pattern. Aside from her hair styling talents, Paula is super friendly and responsive to texts! That's huge. Often you have to continually follow up with a stylist to hear back from them-- not with Paula. She responds promptly and efficiently. I don't live in Atlanta anymore, but if I did I'd still be going to Paula!

I've been reusing my bundles all this time and only ready to purchase more because the wefts are getting weak from so many installs! I've made additional purchases in between to change textures. I've also purchased closures and I've never hand any issues. The hair takes heat well and absolutely NO tangles! EVER! My personal favorite so far is Cambodian glam raw!(pictured). They don't have closures in this texture but the Brazilian matches just fine. I have yet to attempt to color my hair because I usually do that when I'm just about done with it. My stylist recommended Bundle Boutique to purchase hair for my upcoming appointment as she used to work at the salon. My appt was on Saturday and I called the boutique on Monday or Tuesday to check inventory. The associate that answered the phone and serviced me once in the store was really friendly and delivered great customer service. She advised to call back on Friday to see if the texture ( curly) I wanted would be back on stock. Unfortunately it wasn't however, I was able to purchase a wavy texture in my desired lengths. During my appt, my stylist asked twice if I really purchased the closure from Bundle Boutique. That was a red flag. After I showed the receipt she simply said "hmmm". I knew then there was some disappointment in the hair. Once my appt was over my hair looked nice but, I noticed red/burgundy fibers in the hair from the closure. The feel of the closure plus the fibers is that of a human blend vs virgin hair. After a week, while on vacation I decided to wet the hair to see it's natural wave. Per the pictures..that did not happen. I followed the care instructions and still no wave. I'm disappointed and I like to wear my virgin hair in it's natural state...easy for a wet and go. Overall, I'm not impressed with this particular batch of hair I purchased. Maybe the curly hair will be better.

There's just something a little different about Kane- a step up in sophistication, I think- compared to other boutiques with their own niches. I just got a beautiful special occasion dress (shh! he won't see it til the big day!) by the aforementioned Tibi - a gorgeous winter white with the loveliest sleeves and a perfect short length that's sexy and demure at once- and an intricately-strapped pair of sandy-nude heels (on sale! $50 for the Schutz pretties). Plenty of gorgeous coats and dangly earrings (my interests are all over the place...). I don't have the budget to get all my clothes there, but Kane is a perfect place to splurge on a perfect blouse, special pair of earrings, or the perfect dress for any season. Once I finished my Jeni's ice cream, I circled back to check it out. Turns out this place is Lunya, the company I've seen almost a hundred Instagram ads for. Well, what a treat to get to see what all the fuss is about in person! All right, you need to know that I didn't buy anything during my visit, but I'm pretty sure I'm going to be buying something within a month or two. Lunya's high-end pajamas will be an investment piece for me, but I'm also *pretty* sure they're going to be *worth* the investment. Lunya has a men's and women's line and then multiple collections for each of their textiles. Different collections feature washable silk, pima cotton, silver, aloe, modal, wool, etc. The (lovely) salesperson there told me that each materila was selected with the intention of helping you regulate your body temperature so that you'll be more comfortable at night. I tried on some pieces from the women's washable silk collection and the women's pima cotton collection. I loved each of the washable silk pieces, and they're what I'm saving my money for. I tried the scoop neck tank and shorts set and the button-up shirt and pants set. (The tank + shorts set are cheaper, so I'll probably get that first.) Each piece of washable silk laid so nicely against my body and felt luxurious to the touch. They were flattering, but cozy, and they were the perfect combo of comfy + sexy. When I buy them, I'll be getting the sultry navy color. The pima cotton didn't do anything for me but gave of very casual vibes in the light gray color I tried on. Each piece had elegant or interesting details that made the brand itself feel very thoughtful and the pieces feel unique. Huge shoutout to the salesperson who was there. I wish I knew her name, but she was welcoming, no-pressure, helpful, and friendly. All in all, it was a great experience. When I'm ready to buy, I definitely want to do it in-store to save on shipping eco impacts and to help support the brick and mortar store. (I know that online they have an option to pay in installments, and I'm curious if they have that option for in-store purchases. I'll try to remember to update when I can.) Oh also, there are so many delicious cardigans and robes and cozy socks! If I had all the money in the world, I would buy way more of Lunya's stuff!
