I went to Hobby Lobby today expecting to find Summer ribbon and other items to make a wreath. Supplies were slim, they had a good amount of July 4th items, nothing for Juneteenth and pumpkins galore. I was surprised to find so many fall items already and it's just June 5th. With that said I was able to find some nice Butterfly Ribbon, and a grapevine wreath!! As an Artist in my "Other Life", Hobby Lobby has ALWAYS been a place dear to my heart. From the near West Coast to the East, they are more often than not set up very similarly, making the art supplies super easy to find, whenever and wherever I roll upon a location and you can't beat the prices. The staff in this location is very pleasant (As is usual for the brand) and though there are TONS of items and aisles to lose yourself in, the store is bright, clean and well-organized. If I was a different kind of person and shopper, I could easily get lost in a Hobby Lobby, on a regular basis and spend LOTS of money, but for the most part, I'm NOT really a fan of people, so problem easily averted! This is your home decor go to spot. The store is always clean, shelves stocked and the workers seem to be friendly and helpful. My wife loves to come here for one item, but always manages to walk out with several additions. They always have sales and decorations for every holiday. I come here all the time and I don't know why but Phyllis in the fabric dept is racist and rude. Every time I come she has a nasty and mean demeanor. I came for some fabric and after ringing the bell and waiting for a while I starting measuring and cutting my own fabric. When I was done I rang it a bunch of times and she came up just as nasty as she could be rolled her eyes and said nothing. So I gave her what I cut and said I'm sorry but I did ring the bell a couple of times. She proceeded to say " no I was standing right there and it's the first time it rang" I told her she was wrong and asked her to add up my items so I could go. I'm not sure what customer service school she went to but it's clear that they failed her and she should take the course again. I have seen her interact with plenty of women with a fairer shade and she is just as sweet and bubbly as can be so I'll let y'all be the judge!! read more

I love this place, walls upon walls of interesting things. Great decorating ideas, and really creative funishings. 50% off on every other item in the store, it was stocked well and very neat. I'm going to try to make these short and sweet. (at least I'm gonna try - lol) Hobby Lobby has gotten some bad press, historically, because of their outspoken stance about some controversial topics - so, quite frankly, I'm surprised that they haven't been drummed out of business. I have to admit that I'm one of those people that still shops there - not because I'm a homophobe or pro-life - but simply because this store has time and time again been a great resource for me when I'm looking for quick, cheap gifts that I can 'doctor up' or personalize and WOW people. I'm not sure I'd feel the same way if all of a sudden it came out that they had all sorts of racial stuff going on - so I admit - I feel a pang of guilt that I'm not necessarily being social justice warrior by my continued patronage. But on to the review. Large space - well organized. SUPER DUPER LOW prices on fairly nice merchandise. And that 40% off weekly coupon makes it even sweeter. What I'm not a fan of - the bathrooms are ALWAYS a wreck. I have TTBD (teeny-tiny bladder disease) - and I have to use the restrooms MOST places I go. The restrooms here are always a wreck - as in soap dispensers broken, stalls with doors with broken locks, paper towel dispensers broken, 2 or more commodes stuffed up and overflowing with all sorts of nastiness. The current manager is abrupt, almost to the point of being abrasive. That sucks - because typically, the managers are friendly, if a bit harried and frazzled because they're hustling. New guy seems to stand around talking to customers he deems worthy of his help - but acts annoyed if he's interrupted while chatting about stuff totally unrelated to store. Thanks to the need for SEVERAL inexpensive client gifts - I've spent more time in this store in the past 4 weeks than I would have liked. And each time - this guy would be chatting casually with a customer while I (along with others) stood there waiting for him to pause and acknowledge us so we could even say, "Excuse me, but, blah, blah . . ." I don't think he'll last - but until then they get a new one - they get a 7 stars for organization coupon and low prices - but they get a MINUS 4 stars for weirdly, unhelpful store manager and horrible restrooms . read more

This is my first time inside a Hobby Lobby. Man, they sure have a lot of junk here. The store looks clean and organized; however. It does look like a hoarder's dream. They sell every imaginable arts, crafts, decorations, and stuff here. If you need fabrics to make your cosplay costumes, you can find it here. If you wanna paint, draw, or whatever, you can find the supplies here. If you want to decorate your cube, room, or lawn with useless junk, you can find that here. This store feels gigantic. They don't have labels on what isles sold what. So I had a hard time figuring out where stuff were. They should label each isle. At least they grouped related items together. But still, you have to go through every isle to see where it would belong. Inside the huge store, I didn't see many employees. When I had trouble looking for something, I had to look for an employee to help me. ProTip: go to the art department and ring the bell. That summons a nice lady to help you. I was looking for a prism. Inside that giant store, they had 1 prism for sale. I rang the bell and asked the lady if they had a prism. She knew exactly where it was. That impressed me. Inside the huge store with billions of items, she knew exactly where it was. And I'm sure a prism is not something people buy every day. The cashier seemed very pleasant and nice. It's a nice store. I'll come back if I feel artsy-fartsy and want to do some crafts. read more

Hobby Lobby and Chick-Fil-A are both closed on SUNDAYS.. True to the beat of my Southern heart.. on Rainy Sunday's I wished I'd stack up on crafting supplies. So my mind would be occupied in the comfort of my home. Their home decor has stepped up its game.. one great tip to remember is that their 50% off sale always rotated between category of items.. I always have to be very disciplined and head straight for what I need or I end up coming out with a million impulse buys. Basically, you're going to be able to find anything and everything craft and/or home decor related. Reasonable prices. The Walmart of the arts and crafts world. Like Walmart, I can't leave that place unless I spend at least $50. They have a large assortment of home decor items at a resonable prices. I've bought a few storage boxes that I absolutely love. I was good this time around and spent only $13 buying a sketchbook, drawing pencils, and a few other items. A big advantage of Hobby Lobby the size. I love Michael's too but the ones close to me is really small. Disadvantage the size and organization in the arts and craft section. The isles are not clearly labeled so its a scavenger hunt for me finding items and a hunt (at times) to find somebody to help me. Lucky for me, I knew where to go so I had no issue with that. A disappoint with Hobby Lobby this if for my knitters and yarn crafters - not much of assortment of yarn. On one occassion I had to buy yarn for a project using yarn from a particular brand and color. I didn't find the color I was looking for nor the brand. In the past, I have had good experiences at Hobby Lobby. Today the clerk was rude. She wadded up my merchandise that I had taken pains to keep flat and wrinkle free in the cart. I can't believe a clerk would just shove something meant to be kept flat and ruin it. I realize I should have just told her to omit it. I will try another day and avoid that clerk's line. She avoided eye contact choosing instead to talk to the next customer in line as if i was invisible. read more

If I could give no stars I absolutely would. The experience at this Hobby Lobby was HORRIBLE. I get to the register and as I'm walking up to get in line I'm looking up at the pictures and by the time I got to the front (it was only two of us in line) the cashier had put her closed sign up and walked away. I went to the next line where I was the second person as well. When it's my turn to get rung up the manager walks up and tells the girl to sign out of the register. At this point another cashier walks up and I realize theres something wrong. For a solid four minutes these three ladies are standing at this register and not once did either of them look up and acknowledge me at all. I gathered my things and walk out. I love this store but I am so frustrated with the personnel in the fabric department that they are earning a one star from me. There is a specific employee there who is not friendly and less than helpful. Avoid buying burlap here for being made to feel guilty about her allergy and don't expect assistance with questions or a roll of fabric when you are juggling a toddler and an infant.
