They have both been practicing a long time (not an age joke lol) and have a wide range of knowledge about every body system. They take the time they need to take with every patient so they get the best care. The optimal time to make an appointment, if you want a shorter wait time, is at 7am or 1pm. They also do numerous procedures in the office that many primary care providers do not offer. I would highly recommend this clinic to any of my family and friends.

I…read moream one of Dr. Nelson's patients, and I can say that she absolutely allows you to do your own research and is very responsive to your insight IF you know what you're talking about AND you're not drug seeking. If you have a diagnosis that is legitimate and you have researched well, she will definitely listen to your insight. For example, I have anxiety and high blood pressure. I researched the various drugs that were available for high blood pressure and asked her if I could try a beta blocker before we tried an ace inhibitor since it is also prescribed for anxiety in some cases. Firstly, she complemented me for being informed, secondly she agreed that a beta blocker was worth trying and prescribed it even though she was initially leaning toward an ace inhibitor. A few months later, what do you know, the beta blocker wasn't doing the job and we went back to her initial plan of taking an ace inhibitor. I've also seen Dr. Legako; he's a bit stuffy, but is also very open to patients' opinions. Moreover, the nurses and front desk are all super nice and always willing to do what it takes to help you out. Another example, I was near Edmond just the other day and stopped in to see if I could get into my appointment early since I was already in town; I was in a examination room within 15 minutes. Don't write this place off. This is probably one of the best places in the OKC area to be treated.

We came in simply to meet a new pediatrician after our previous doctor retired. What was supposed to be a routine introduction quickly turned into one of the most traumatic medical experiences of my life. Before my dad could even give consent, Dr. Aston had already ordered three vaccinations and stated that we would be charged no matter what. There was no conversation, no explanation, and no attempt to make me feel safe. I was 13 years old. When I realized I was about to receive three shots without any warning or preparation, I had immediate and overwhelming anxiety. Instead of giving me even a moment to breathe or calm down, two nurses physically restrained me. They held down my legs and chest while I cried and begged them to stop. Without asking for permission, they pulled down my pants to give the shots in my leg. I felt completely exposed and powerless. In the middle of this, one of the nurses knocked both of my cochlear implants off. Suddenly, I couldn't hear anything. I was completely cut off from the world around me, unable to understand what was happening, unable to communicate, and unable to see clearly as my arms were being held down against my chest. It was terrifying. I was tense, scared, and in pain. But more than that, I felt stripped of any control over my own body. That feeling has never fully gone away. Even now, years later, I can still remember exactly how it felt, physically and emotionally. I am now 20 years old and entering the medical field myself. This experience has shaped me deeply, and it will always serve as a reminder of the kind of provider I refuse to become. Patients, especially children, deserve dignity, consent, and compassion. I was not given any of those things here.

Walking the balance between long term goals and feeling 100% is a fine line and the staff are there to help. Danielle then took me back for the rest of my exam, and she was rather direct in conversation and answered all my questions and I left feeling pretty relieved and taken care of. She sent me home with some paper print outs of more details on their findings to learn more. I appreciated all of the women who helped me during my appointment, and when I checked out a beautiful blue-haired woman said "Yay! You don't have to come back!" which was silly and it was fun to be celebrated. I would recommend this place highly to those who need it.
