Speed and quality of care were great. However, business and billing practices are questionable. I was turned over to a collection agency without having ever received a bill or phone call regarding the bill. When speaking to the secretary she stated that a bill had been sent each month for the past 6 months and I had been contacted by phone as well. It's hard to believe that 6 or 7 bills were lost in the mail when they had the correct address on file and that my voicemail never captured any messages from them. If honesty in billing is important to you then take your business elsewhere. read more

This urgent care is very careless and barely gives you a diagnosis. The receptionist is fine but seems like she doesn't care very much and is only there to clock in and clock out. I called after getting antibiotics prescribed for an infection and told the doctor what was happening and he completely disregarded what I was saying and told me it had nothing to do with my first diagnosis. Went to a second urgent care and they told me that it is 100% related to my first diagnosis and they actually provided help and good Care! (Mercy urgent care on 164th and May if you need a recommendation!) Edmond urgent care didn't even touch my finger or try to figure out where exactly it hurts or to feel how swollen it was, just simply looked and said "yea that's infected!", prescribed my medicine, gave me a new bandaid and sent me on my way. I would not go here if you want an actual diagnosis. read more

Horrible Experience with the Receptionist not once but twice. I visited Edmond Urgent Care twice, and unfortunately, both experiences were negatively impacted by Samantha, the receptionist. During my first visit for intense back pain, I explained that I didn't have my insurance card yet because I had just been accepted for independent insurance. Samantha, who has glasses and brown hair, treated me like I was completely clueless,looked and talked to me like I was stupid. Her demeanor was condescending, and she acted annoyed the entire time, making me feel like I was a hassle. On my second visit, after a work injury, I informed her at the end of my visit that I'd be using workers' compensation for payment. Instead of helping me navigate the situation, she gave me attitude and said, "Why would you not tell me that before?" in a tone that was unnecessarily rude. I was new to workers' compensation and didn't know the protocol. Her response made me feel belittled rather than informed. When she asked for a specific card I didn't have, I gave her a contact card for the person managing my workers' comp, hoping she could assist me. Instead, she laughed and dismissed my effort, making me feel even more embarrassed. Her tone, facial expressions, and lack of professionalism were unacceptable. She never smiled, made rude gestures, and seemed entirely unwilling to provide clear or empathetic assistance. She also ignored me when I asked for the amount owed, but when her phone rang she said "hold on" to me making it very clear to me she heard me the first time, she was obviously just annoyed with me when all I did was not being aware of their workers comp situation. While the medical care itself may be fine, I will not be returning to Edmond Urgent Care because of Samantha's consistent lack of respect and customer service. Receptionists set the tone for the patient experience, and this level of unprofessionalism is unacceptable and I have witnessed her talking ugly to others that were around me at the first visit. read more

The first thing I was asked was my insurance, then I was given a few pages to complete. I had pics of my meds and history and was able to email those instead of writing them. The wait was only 15-20 minutes. Jackie was pleasant, listening to my issues, asking questions. She knew they would not be able to help so she walked us through several options. She gave her recommendation out of a few ER facilities and then gave us a referral. This is an established private facility. It will be our go to for things minor accidents like colds and scrapes! read more

I had a bad cut on my finger that wouldn't stop bleeding. They were very nice and respectful. It took less than 15 minutes to see me. I don't know if she was a doctor or a PA (I don't remember her name ) but she was very calm and pleasant. I felt like she really cared. Which is rare. read more

Don't come here for Covid testing. Even though the federal government has strived to make Covid testing free as a way to ease the impact of the pandemic, this place simply sees it as a money-maker. They will not bill your insurance or the government to cover the cost of your test, but instead will take $60 from you. Soon, at home rapid tests will be free, but for now you can purchase one for about $24 for 2 at CVS. read more

Don't recommend at all!!! I brought my 15 yo daughter in for severe stomach pain & vomiting yesterday & the nurse there named Jackie, treated us horribly! She was not compassionate, she NEVER once smiled, asked us if we were okay, if we needed anything. Immediately upon entering the building, the gentleman behind the counter had a very warm smile & was very caring & helpful! That's the ONLY reason for the 1 star! If I could put zero stars, I would! That's how upset I am!! Jackie was NOT nice & warm! It was like she was annoyed with us! The things she was saying in front of my child was horrible! Instead of saying it could be food poisoning (which it ended up being!), or a virus, she said in her 21 yrs of nursing she's only seen teenagers come in looking this bad when they've been using drugs & asked if shes on drugs rn or has she been using drugs?? Is that really the 1st thing that comes to your mind lady???! Was it bc of the way were dressed or the way we looked??? I felt judged by her words bc listen, we weren't expecting to go the ER okay. We were on our way to Frontier City to have fun day!! So, instead of offering comfort & a warm heart, you instead handed us the coldest most rude encounter I've ever had in all my life! My daughter is traumatized from this! How dare you say that in front of my child! I want to file a formal complaint immediately! There is a time & way to ask those questions! We went to the hospital after & they took her blood & urine samples & all her labs came back great! We did some back tracking & found she had taken a few drinks of some bad chocolate milk about 30 mins b4 we got there! I understand you have to rule everything out, but I have NEVER in all my life been treated like that. And the way she was speaking to the other male employee working there was disgusting! He was even taken back by her words! She was talking to him like he was less than, just poor attitude really! She must really be a miserable person or over worked & underpayed or just hates her job but nurses like that should not be around children or people at all! We were frantic, she was shaking, having tremors, sweating, vomiting non stop, so much so she couldn't sit still bc the cramps were so bad! It was a very chaotic situation but if you can't handle it, you shouldn't be in the medical field!!!!! Nurse Jackie should be ashamed of how she treated my family! Facility is quick to get into and very clean. I've been here twice. Both times the women at the check out could not figure out if I had a copay or not and continually asked me if I knew if I had one or not and just looked at me very puzzled. They should be able to look and see. Left without paying then was billed months later. Second visit I came in with complaints of ear and head pain. I knew going in I probably had a sinus infection. I was told I had allergies. ( never had allergies in my life) Pain never went away so I went to another urgent care facility and was told I had fluid in my ears and definitely did have have a sinus infection. I am pregnant and disappointed I was sent away with no help and more money was spent having to go to a new doctor. I was sent away the first time with no diagnosis for a similar problem as well and now wonder if there was something more to my pain. read more

My husband and I suspected we might have Covid-19 and heard that this urgent care was doing walk up tests without an appointment. All of the other places were booked for a few days. We arrived about 15 min before they opened and there was a socially distanced line around the building. When the doors opened to the clinic the line no longer mattered. Clipboards with paperwork we're handed out and whoever got their paperwork returned the quickest would be next. This really upset my husband because he had been standing in a line outside with a fever in strong winds feeling terrible for what seemed to be no reason. After submitting the paperwork we were told there would be at least a 3 hour wait. We sat in the car until they gave us a phone call to come in and be tested. Once we got in we were both swabbed part way up our nostril for our rapid test. They let us know we were both negative and we left. Unfortunately, my husband's swab was not accurate. A few days later I took him to the ER for his fever that had not gone away and they re-swabbed him. His test came back positive. My husband is now in the hospital with COVID-19. The staff and doctors at the clinic were very kind and I hate writing this review, but after our experience I think it is important. I hope they are able to improve their process so that sick people don't wait in line for paperwork potentially spreading illness and causing them to potentially feel worse. I know everyone is doing their best right now, and I do really appreciate that they were able to see us the same day without an appointment! I do think that is very needed right now! Unfortunately, our tests were not accurate so I'm not sure if it mattered. I have a gut feeling that because we didn't have deeper swabs it caused our tests to be inaccurate, but I can't be sure of that. Because of my husbands fever we decided to stay away from others so we did not spread whatever he might have. I can't imagine what would have happened if we didn't. read more

Don't come here for covid testing with or without insurance. Completely confrontational at the desk, doesn't like answering questions, gives you one form to fill out, then gives you another instead of just all at once. After sitting in our car until they were 'ready', another 20 minute wait sitting in the office before the test. Since my son was positive wouldn't that contaminate the whole office building? Seems dangerous for the people going in after. All we want is to see if our three year old, who was directly exposed to someone with covid, is positive or negative. My children and I have been coming here for the last 4 years. I clicked on yelp to see what time they opened due to a sick child and saw a couple poor reviews that didn't sit well with me. In four years, with 4 children, I have never left feeling I wasn't happy with the care we received. The staff is always incredibly kind, they always tend to us in a very timely manner and the diagnosis and prescribed medications have always been exactly what we needed. Many individuals are always quick to give a poor review when they feel everything wasn't perfect yet few give great reviews because we are incredibly busy and just focused on feeling better. This has been a great go to on weekends and nights because kids seem to never get sick during the doctors regular hours lol. The whole staff makes you feel good when you are in feeling so sick. This place is next door to Ralphs pharmacy so it's so easy to get meds when finished. I have maybe just hit this at the perfect time but we never have much of a wait when we come in. We have taken our five children when they are sick or hurt here for several years. Both Dr's and staff are always excellent in diagnosing and treating. Usually a very short wait, and they are very competent and the nurses are always very kind. The once or twice we had a broken bone or needed to see a specialist they recommended someone excellent and knew exactly what we needed to do. Always clean and accommodating! Best medical experience I've ever had! The waiting room was very nice & comfortable, and the staff, nurses & doctor were very friendly! I never felt uncomfortable, even during the taking of my vitals & exam. The doctor listened to everything I said, asked a few questions, then immediately gave me a diagnosis. He left the room for about 1 minute, then came back with prescriptions (that his staff called in for me), recommended over-the-counter medicines, & typed instructions! Awesome place! Great care! The waiting room was clean and very nice, The staff was so nice and treated my little boy so kindly! The doctor was quick but thorough and very nice! I was in and out with my son in 35 minutes! By far the best care I've received for him, I honestly prefer this place to his primary care pediatrician! We will be going here for any urgent care needs for as long as we live in this area! Being a first time mom with a first time sick baby, I was very stressed out. The doctor made me feel very confident leaving that I could handle this and my son would be just fine. I recommend this place to anyone in the edmond area! read more
