If I had the option to give no stars I would. This was the absolute worst business I have ever been to. They took pieces out of my car and left my window broken when it was not even broken when I took it there. They did not call me before they started working on my car they just went ahead and started doing a bunch of stuff that cost me a bunch of money to get it back. They gave me my car back right when they close so I couldn't ask why I had plastic tape to my window and missing components out of my door piece. I never received my pieces back. They did not respond when I asked what happened why was this left like this. Also why did you touch my window at all it was not broken when I brought it there. I never received any response and was made to pay for the time they spent taking my window apart and leaving it broken for me. The worst mechanic you can bring it to, if you drop it off here or have it towed you won't see your car for easily 6 months, and they will not communicate with you at all. Don't trust the receptionists they will NEVER forward the message to George and he will never call you back, i cannot stress it enough, just bring it somewhere else, i had my accident in December and it's currently July 13, my car is still in the shop. not worth it read more

Stay away!!! I'd give them 0 stars if possible. Took my vehicle in mid-December for some minor body work. An employee named George took my insurance estimate and told me he would order the parts which should be ready for work in mid-January. At the end of January I called to see what the time frame was looking like & the receptionist took my information & said someone would call me back. Two weeks passed & I called again at which time I had to leave a voicemail asking for a call back. Needless to say after no call back from my voice mail I called back a THIRD time. The receptionist asked me if I could bring my estimate in to which I replied I did back in December (it's now mid-February). She leaves the phone & when she returns asks me to bring my insurance estimate back in since they can't find it!! So not only did they not bother to return any phone calls THEY NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO ORDER THE PARTS!!! I don't even know how this place is open & operating. Go ANYWHERE else read more

As far as mechanical work, don't do it. The mechanical shop has 4 bays including a dedicated alignment bay. Fred (the senior "tech) vets in way over his head. Jeff, Fred's "Barney Rubble does what he's told, a nice enough guy,. Fred. Is akin to Fred Flintstone; loudmouthed, arrogant and, overbearing. There are too many bosses pushing everyone in different directions. . . creating chaos. Andy, one of the co-owners is two faced. Will smile and have a stiletto in his other hand. Worked there for a month, spent my own cash on the correct camber correction kit for a front end hit. Not reimbursed, fired instead. When going through exit inventory, Andy wanted my buzzer blade, razor 5 razor blades, air tool fittings used nuts/bolts and shop rags. Was absolutely dumbfounded at the pettiness. You let me go not the other way around. I HAVE over a thousand shop rags which U purchase. Razor blades,there's over 50 sealed in my vehicle. Wizzer blades, I buy them by the 10 pack. Air tool fittings, always buy my own for each Air tool as there are at least 4 different quick disconnects and my tools are useless without the correct fittings. Nope, yesterday was truly eye opening. Would never have thought people could be so petty. Wondering, if that's how Andy treats his employees, how does he treat his clients? read more

First just let me explain my situation. I have a 2005 ram 1500 Daytona. 13 years old. I had a small rust spot about the size of a dime on the rear fender and the bumper had some nicks and rust on both ends. I went to one body shop and was told I needed to buy a new fender and bumper at a cost of $5000.00 dollars. I went to Dincher's auto body to get a second opinion. Mr. Dincher's came out looked over the area's which I pointed out to the other body shop and I asked if I needed a new bumper and fender. Mr. Dincher's said " no " which was a surprise due to the appraisal I got from the other auto body shop. Dincher"s appraisal was almost $4000.00 cheaper. I took my vehicle to the shop Monday morning and it was taken into the garage prior to my leaving. I had my truck back by the end of the week. My car was stolen from behind my apartment. The police told me that if i wanted to press charges, provided they find the guy, i'd have to have the car towed, so i said okay. Well the cops found it and said there was no damage. They took it in and said we'd have to pay our tow bill before we could get it back. The last tow we had before this event was from Action Towing, and a trip from Lycoming Mall to our mechanic in Williamsport was less than 100 dollars. To tow our stolen car from one side of Williamsport to the other, Dinchers charged us 415 dollars, which included a 75 dollar fee that the cops said isn't supposed to be charged to victims of crimes. I have a feeling Dinchers knew that, and they refunded it when the cops called them and "reminded" them. Remember that thing about the car not being damaged? The bumper was destroyed, and the wheel well had damage inside of it causing the front tires to rub when turning. When we mentioned that to the cops, they made it seem like the thief was responsible for the compensation, not the tow company, but honestly, the tow company damaged my car and price gauged me, while the thief joyrode it a few blocks and left it alone without even stealing my change, so I know who the real bad guys are. The good news for all of you reading this review is that the cops said that in the future, we have the option of requesting who is called for the tow, and without being prompted, he suggested we call Action, so it seems like he knows Dinchers is no good too. Wish we'd have known that before our bumper and wheel well got wrecked. Do NOT engage with this business unless your life depends on it, and even then, think twice. read more

This place is a huge ripoff. They charged us over $375 to tow our car less than 2 miles. They couldn't get our estimate done that day, even though they had the car at 8 in the morning. They then charged us a $45 dollar holding fee for the night that they held it waiting for the estimate. If you are in an accident in Williamsport, do NOT let them come to tow your car. They are ridiculously over priced, and will not work with you. read more

My girlfriend & I were in town for the LLWS (from Poughkeepsie, NY - 3.5 hrs away) and on Thursday night, accidentally struck a curb and didn't know the extent of the damage. A couple of locals recommended Dincher's Auto Body so I IMMEDIATELY brought our Honda Civic in first thing in the AM around 9 (with a full day planned). After coming outside and looking under the car, the mechanic walked me back inside (car still running) and printed me out an (insurance) estimate for get this... $768.68! He also told me that we wouldn't be able to get our car back until MONDAY. My girlfriend & I both HAD TO leave that night because we had work Saturday back home. Let alone money for 2 more nights at SOLD OUT hotel(S )for the surrounding 10+ miles. I told him that I had to run this by my girlfriend and then make a decision so I went back to our hotel with news I thought could jeopardize a relationship. I HAD TO AT LEAST explore other options and stumbled upon MONRO Muffler/Brake so I went there as well. I told the manager we were from Poughkeepsie, NY (3.5 hrs away) and our predicament and never told him I had already been to Dincher's. He assured me that he was my only option (something you never wanna hear from anyone, let alone an auto mechanic. LoL) to get us our car back THAT DAY! He couldn't give me an estimate without getting the car on their lift so I left him the keys and my phone # with the expectation of a phone call with the estimate. At 12:30(!), we took a cab to MONROE to put our belongings in the car and get that estimate that never came. I notice our car wasn't there and he told me that we had a bent rim ONLY and that he swapped the bent rim to the rear (stationary) wheel with that rear wheel to the front FOR FREE and explained that at a low speed, we could make it back home and make the further decision from there and that his mechanic was out testing that theory and simultaneously, that mechanic pulls into the lot in our car. WHAT!?!?!!! We bought the him lunch, had our car from there on out and got home where we purchased a new rim on Tuesday. Monro Muffler/Brake turned a complete NIGHTMARE into a best case DREAM. And Dincher's helped make MY mistake the nightmare. read more

Go anywhere else! This was one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a mechanic. I called to make an appointment and spent time explaining exactly what was happening with my vehicle and what was needed. I made an appointment and gave them 2 phone numbers to reach me if they had questions. I dropped my vehicle off at 7am. By 3:00pm, I hadn't heard anything from them. When I called I was put on hold while they "looked for my car." After being told "it was there somewhere" and "someone would call me back", I got a call at 4:00 telling me that they charged my air conditioner but it still didn't work ( "I probably need a $650 part") and I owed them a few hundred bucks. When I asked if the $ was for the labor or parts for the other issue I dropped my vehicle off for, the mechanic was dumbfounded. He didn't "know there was another issue". So I was supposed to leave my vehicle for 9 hours for an air conditioner recharge? When I asked for a detailed receipt to show labor hours and how much freon was put in my car, I got a generic receipt that shows neither. Interestingly, my bill also dropped $45 in the 7 minutes it took from them calling me until I got there to pick my vehicle up. I guess they weren't expecting me to ask questions. I just moved to Lycoming County from an hour away. I hoped I could use this garage as my 'go to' Unfortunately, I won't be going back there. Update- I took my car to another garage and was told there was no freon in it and no leaks were detected. I just paid another place 1/2 what I paid Dinchers and I have a working A/C. I have no idea why they had my car for 9 hours or what I paid them for. read more

We'll I never used these guys before so thought I'd give them a try. Called, lady on the phone was very friendly. Told her that my rack needed replaced and asked when it could be finished. They told me in two days. Ok sweet. So I drop it off and they said they will call me later that day for an estimate. Never hear anything. So 1 hour before they close I call, they didn't look at it yet. 1 day later they inform me of the estimate and said that they will call me when complete for pickup. Never call. So two days later I go down there to see what was up. It was done two days ago. I get the bill and added to the labor and steering rack costs are windshield washer fluid....14 dollars worth......which I never told them to put in. Kicker is...my windshield washer bottle has a hole in it!!!! Then I also find out that they have been driving my car across Williamsport to work on it at their other shop, something they DON'T tell you when you drop it off. I finally get in the car, and it is out of power steering fluid. I inform the staff and they look at me like I am crazy and proceed to ignore me. I ask why this happened but they continue to ignore me and send a mechanic out to my car to replace the missing fluid. He opens the car door without permission and attempt to replace it. I deny him the opportunity and leave. A day later when driving the car, I notice that the car is making loud noises and the steering wheel turning radius is not equal on both sides of the car. I stop by and they off to look at the car but deny how anything could be wrong with it. One of these fine gentlemen said "We'll it didn't fall out did it?!" Long story short they fixed the steering wheel however my car to this day still makes loud steering noises and they don't want to seem to help. They are liars, poor mechanics, and will try to nickel and dime you for everything. Between driving it back and forth between the two shops on two different occasions for work that they messed up it cost me at least $20 in gas and was without a vehicle for 6 days total. Horrible customer service. Talked to them on a Friday and was told my car would be in the garage by Tuesday. Never heard anything so I called Thursday and was told the guy was on vacation and wouldn't be back until the following Monday to call back because secretary had no information. Car was in the shop for 5 days including weekend. Got auto work done from an accident and they never washed it after being fixed. Got my car back with white smudgy finger prints all over the outside, and dirty floor mat from their shoes. The auto work they did was as an amateur job. Makes me not trust their work. My car was presented back to me in the worst way. Stay away from this garage if you care anything about your vehicle. I wish I would have went to a more professional garage. Worst shop ever!!!! Brought my car in to have them remove a frozen nut, they stripped the nut, then said they could not get it off. Then they wanted 70 dollars cuz they tried, when I refused to pay they threatened to charge storage and hold the car.
