Wait times can be a bit long on Sundays/Saturdays so make sure you come before 10 am. Service is good and fast and food is amazing! Highly recommend

    Microwaved omelette with nothing inside

This will be the third time ordering from here, as I want to give it a chance. The eggs are chewy and microwaved, my $20 omelette contained nothing, the bacon was deep fried and crumbled at the touch, the fruit "cup" had half obviously old fruit, and the toast was completely inedible. For what you pay, go to Denny's cause this is a rip off!

What a fun, friendly place to enjoy a meal! We were visiting Calgary with friends and they brought us here for brunch one morning. It was busy, but we were seated right away. Extensive menu, with many great options! My friend is celiac, and they were so great with handling her allergy. The food was fantastic! Highly recommend and will certainly return!

I went here for breakfast on a Saturday & it was busy of course, but the service & food were both exceptional! The atmosphere is great. It really gives off that cute diner vibe. The cute decorations really make the place unique! I had the Canadian Bacon & Tomato Confit Eggs Benedict & my friend had the Avocado & Fresh Tomato Eggs Benedict. Both of them were amazing & the hot chocolate was to die for. Our waitress (unfortunately I didn't get her name) was so friendly and really made the experience that much better. She was bubbly and very personable. I would definitely recommend this place.

A unique & delicious diner that is also locally sourced. Atmosphere: 5/5 - Modern & sleek. Well lit. Seat spacing is good. Clean. Price: $$$/5 - Average pricing for a restaurant. Customer Service: 4/5 - Servers were polite. Service speed was on the slower side of average. Took a long time to get a water refill & bill. Location: 4/5 - For most people it is a little out of the way. Some nice stores nearby. Taste: 5/5 - I have only had a few menu items, but they were all absolutely delicious. Menu: 5/5 - Menu is average size with many unique items. Might not please fussy eater. Gluten free friendly. Sustainability: 3/5 - Ingredients sourced locally & sustainably. No advertised sustainable initiatives. Strengths - Tasty, Unique menu, Nice atmosphere. Weaknesses - No advertised sustainable initiatives. Good items to buy: Fried chicken & waffles, Stuffed French toast, Trout B.L.T. Summary: 4.3/5 - Overall, Diner Deluxe is an amazing restaurant and I would definitely recommend stopping for brunch. They have unique and delicious meals that make you want to come back time & time again. Their menu is average size and because it has unique items it may not please a fussy eater. I love that they focus on using locally sourced & sustainable ingredients. The one area I think they could improve in is by creating some sustainable initiatives. Thank you for taking the time to read my review and I hope it helps you!!

I never say this... THIS FOOD IS AMAZING!!! But... We came on a Friday just before noon, and the music was so loud, it felt like we were in a Jamaican Dancehall. All patrons around us, and the servers had to talk above the blaring music. We'll come again, and just hope they get the the volume levels figured out.

The food here is amazing, and always on point. We go there at least once a week, and most of their options are incredible.

was rather disappointing experience. took almost 45 mins to get our meal from the time we ordered…read moreit and when it arrived it was luke warm at best if not cold. The "baked" potato was microwaved vs actually baked And it was so cool that the butter I put on it didn't melt. Ordered a side of garlic prawns and got 3 small unflavored shrimp instead that were maybe an inch long if you stretched it out. my sons fries were undercooked (some weren't even golden, they were still potato white) And said some of them were kinda crunchy/stiff. I had the owners cut of prime rib and it was smaller than the last two times I had been to smugglers where I ordered a smaller cut (first mate) And it was cold, even the au jus was barely warm. Also probably the smallest Yorkshire pudding I've ever had there. Maybe 1/3 the size you use to get. We ordered desert and it took newly 30 mins for it to be brought out - my son's "warm" apple krisp was cold he said. i have been smugglers at least A dozen times in the last 3 years and more so in the last decade and this was by far the worst experience I have ever had. In both service and quality. As it stands I would not recommend - where as before I always raved about the smugglers inn. For a $400+ bill for myself and my 3 kids, I def expected way better quality, actual warm food and not have to wait a combined time of over an hour for service. It was also my son's birthday, and he found the experience very disappointing and said he never wants to go back. When we booked we said it was a birthday, we mentioned it was his birthday and the server didnt even say happy birthday to him. Oh and it wasn't even that busy when we got there... there was maybe 10 costumers when we arrived. I might try it again due to past visits being great. But another experience like tonight and I'll probably take my prime rib expeditions else where. I doubt my kids will ever go back as the complained how horrible it was the entire drive home. I usually don't give a lot of reviews but it was such a sub-par experience I had to report it.

Parking was pretty full but we managed to snag a spot. The place was busy but not too loud. While the server did ask us if we were celebrating anything, there wasn't really anything done that made out time there special. We started with the Marrow and Escargot and shared a 12oz Prime Rib with lobster tail and Creme Brulee for dessert. The food was okay, not sure if it was worth the price of admission. Server was fine, but not memorable. We were disappointed in the experience as this used to be our go to (bi-monthly) dinner place before the ownership change.

We saw they were going to open at 11am, and decided to try our luck by getting there right at opening since we didn't have a reservation. We got lucky and got seated right away! - PARKING - Street parking, make sure you take note of how long you paid for! - SERVICE/ENVIRONMENT - The ambiance inside is so nice and airy, with greenery and natural light shining through. There's also a super cute swing area next to the bar area that you can sit. I really liked the overall interior design! The staff was very attentive for our large party throughout our meal. There are bathrooms downstairs as well. - FOOD - Bacon Jam Benedict ($20.00): Loved the flavor combination in this! The sweet savory maple bacon jam worked so well! We upgraded to the fried potatoes ($4.00) and they were pretty tasty. Carrot Cake French Toast ($24.00): We got one to share with the table, and I'm glad we didn't commit because it was just OK to me. I wish there was more mascarpone filling, and also a different sauce than chocolate because it didn't pair well for me. Winter Nights ($19.00): We wanted to get some greens in and chose this salad. I enjoyed the mix of greens and also the fennel salami which gave a salty bite! Truffle Parm Fries ($13.00): We also got this to share with the table and you can't go wrong with these! - OVERALL - Great brunch option if you have a small or large group! Really nice airy ambiance for a nice start to your day.

As the morning went on, it seemed to fill up fast so I recommend making a reservation. Vibes: Bright, airy space decorated with lots of plants. There were many tables available including 4 swing seats by the bar. Very cute inside! Bathrooms are downstairs. Street parking only. Service: For a party of 12, our servers provided great and quick service. Food: -Cold Brew ($6) with Sweet Cream ($1): it seemed that the cream curdled in the drink. The taste was okay but it got the job done. -Breakfast Bowl ($24): braised beef short rib with 2 poached eggs on a bed of caramelized onion fried potatoes. Large serving, it was perfect to share with 2-3 people. -Kale Caesar ($19): topped with cheese croutons which were interesting. Also great to share with 2 people. Overall: Porch is a cute brunch place that can fit a large party. If you're looking for an aesthetic place, I recommend this place!
