Not everyone will like everything so you have to go there at least twice to know what you like. My friends didn't like their drink the first time that they went but when I went with them they chose a different one and it was a game changer. I had mango fruit tea with blueberry juice balls. Also, they do seasonal drinks so I can't wait to go there at Halloween! 10/10, 5 stars. Definitely one of the places you should go to before you die. Note: you should choose what you want before you go in because there will be a queue of people waiting and the staff need to have a fast moving line. +expect to wait 5-10 mins for your drink or food, maybe 15 on a busy day max because they make everything fresh and always have a lot of orders!!

Super impressed with this place…read more The main things I enjoyed about it was the ease of variety, and how they've used their space. The menu is broad without being complicated, messy, or overwhelming. Everything is really well organised and they've done a great job of advertising their range of products. Bubble tea is their staple seller but they also offer frozen yogurt with a choice of chocolatey/sweety and fruity toppings, and tear and share waffles. Savoury stuff is available too! You'll find Ramen noodles and Gyoza dumplings on he menu if the sweet stuff isn't quite doing it for you. This time, I opted for a pear green tea with mixed blueberry and cherry bubbles. Never tried the pear before and it was lovely. Slightly sweeter and a little more artificial tasting than I'm used to, though. Like I said, I really enjoy how they've used the space. The unit is really long, kind of white washed throughout including the wooden floorboards which gives it a mega bright and spacious feel and there's ample and varied seating before and after the serving counter. I feel like they've made the space really interactive which is great! Even though I was kinda in a rush, Yobu makes you take the time to appreciate it. There's a little wall of fame/fandom dedicated to its customers, a book case, some cute trinkets dotted around, and leaflets about the local area. I'd love to go back if I'm around B'mouth again! Frozen yogurt next time!

It opened last week and I don't think they have a website at the moment so I wanted to share what I could about this place. Menu is basic but has the essential milk and fruit teas. I'm pleased to see that they have a caffeine-free selection as well! I ordered a jasmine green tea with pearls and it tasted so good and fresh. Pearls were also soft and chewy. They have a special discount going on due to their grand opening so definitely check them out. What is also unique is that their cups look recyclable and possibly reusable (material is more stronger than usual boba cups) so will see if this is true when I come back to ask!

REVIEW FOR BUBBLE-CI TEA AT MEADOWHALL, SHEFFIELD…read more The only good thing I can say is that the drink itself was nice. The service was awful. Only two workers at the store, resulting in huge queues all day long. One serving, and one making the drinks - meaning we had to wait for 30-40 mins with approx. 10 people ahead of us. Simply not good enough! One more person making the drinks would halve the waiting time. And when we finally got to the front of the queue, we were told that they were out of tapioca pearls - brilliant! The one item that should be in plentiful supply was not available. And of course, the first tapioca scoop was free of charge - and when I asked for a free substitute topping I was told "no". Now, that's a company that values its customers, eh! And to add insult to injury, the girl making our drink simply disappeared for 3 minutes for no apparent reason. She never said anything; just casually sauntered off and reappeared several minutes later without so much as an explanation or an apology for the delay. The takeaway is that we will not be visiting Bubble-CI again. Damage done! We will take our business elsewhere next time. Plenty of other competitors in the market.

I never really got into the whole boba hype when I was growing up. Still, the prospect of boba on the other side of the Atlantic piqued my interest when I was in the neighborhood... First things first: you'll definitely feel the dollar-to-pound conversion when you peruse the menu. While I am no stranger to paying extra for some of the fancier toppings (like jellies), I was a little disappointed to see that even the boba tapioca balls cost an extra £0.50. (Maybe this is normal outside of the States, where the drink is known as "milk tea" instead of "boba"? Because otherwise I find it hard to believe that boba can be sold without, well, the boba...) I went with the Assam black milk tea because I find that choosing the most basic of milk teas is the best way to evaluate a boba spot. It wasn't as sweet as the basic black milk teas that I usually can find in the U.S. (understandable, as most drinks in the U.S. are probably sugarier). The boba was fresh (to be expected, as I had pay extra for it...) At the end of the day, I had paid £4.50 for the regular size of some pretty average tasting boba. The shop itself is pretty tiny, though the seating is pretty hip-looking.
