This place has a big inventory of balloons. They have a ton of different colors, different types, and will even do balloon arches. To be honest, this place didn't make us feel welcomed but they did do a good job putting together our order of balloons. The prices are pretty reasonable as well. The place offers all kinds of party items as well. These included toppings to decorate cake with, boxes to carry cakes, and other such items. read more

I visited this place years ago and I really loved it so I decided to go back and pick up a few things. Since I don't live in the area it's really tough since there are no evening hours and they are closed on Sundays. The staff is really friendly and nice. They were super sweet to my son which made me happy. If you need ANYTHING for a party then this is your places. They create balloon masterpieces... They deliver... rent chairs. I picked up a ton of stuff to bake cupcakes which included different colored sugars, cupcake holders, cake boxes, liners, tips and more. I also wanted to top my cupcakes with chocolate so I went to the upstairs part of the store and found two huge aisles of chocolate molds. If you like to make custom chocolate molds then you found the right place. I think each mold was about $1.99 so very reasonable. There are tons of different sections so we picked up some pirate stuff, baby baptism stuff and a bunch of other items. I wish I did live closer because this place is awesome. The only sucky part is there is no off street parking but in South Philly it is going to be hard to find a business with off street parking. **Sorry for the blurry pics.. I haven't lived in Philadelphia for 15 years. Before I moved away, Dino's was my go-to place for party and candy making supplies. I stopped in to pick up a tinsel curtain to decorate for my granddaughters prom. The ladies were so helpful and friendly. I'm so glad I got to stop by. Totally forgot to review earlier but had a wonderful experience ordering a balloon garland from Dino's in august! I called with a general idea of what I wanted but they went above and beyond -texting me balloon colors/combinations, amazing communication the entire time and flexible with us as last minute we needed to add chair rentals to our order. This weekend, I hosted a surprise birthday party for my husband and Dino's came in clutch with the giant, gold foil number balloons to celebrate the occasion. I called on Wednesday, and knew I was cutting it a little close, but they were able to deliver the balloons to the venue on the day of the party. Helium is at a shortage right now, so between that and delivery of four (super large) balloons, I paid $70, plus a tip for the delivery driver. Honestly? It was worth it. The balloons were a super fun add-on that enhanced the celebrations. And, my husband may or may not have found creative ways to wear the balloons as the night rolled on. read more

If you need balloons, this is the place to go! They do everything from single, specialty balloons to elaborate arches and pillars. Their website gives you just a small look at all they do, but if you stop in to this small shop on the corner of Morris and South 9th Street, they can really give you an idea of everything they offer. Books and books filled with pictures of the designs they've produced for all the costumers before you. Everything in there has a price and it can all be changed and adjusted as you want. My coworkers and I stopped if to see if they could do an arch, pillars and centerpieces for our up coming prom that we were planning on a tight budget. After over an hour of looking through their photo albums we realized that our budget would not be an issue and we had plenty of options to mull over. When we finally decided what we wanted they wrote up a price for each individual piece and even drew them on the receipt so we could recall how what we ordered actually looked. They just ask for a 50% deposit up front to save the date and start working on everything, but even that has some flexibility I believe. When we got to the event everything had already been set up and we could not have been more happy with the result. I highly recommend Dino's to anyone party planning and in need of some balloons! read more

A good spot to get any needs that you have for a get together. They take credit card too, which is a huge plus. Balloons were about a $1.50 a piece. I drove in from Doylestown and David was kind enough to show me around and help me make the right choices. Last Minute Gender Party for myself was a success with the great help of your team. I entered with a selaed envelope requsting the largest black ballon fon a party the following day, reassured that i would not know the gender i was returned a taped sealed envelope lol and a large balloon barely able to fit in my van. But you guys helped me get it in the car and it was my responsibility from there lol my anxiety level was rising i rushed home to get the ballon out the heat and it lasted until the following afternoon well over 24hrs. Stopped in earlier today around 4pm to purchase some balloons. They have a generous selection of balloons and other party and baking supplies supplies... they even had things that Party City doesn't carry. I was specifically looking for baptism/christening decorations and I was having difficulty finding them (even on amazon) Also, unlike Party City I was able to get my balloon order (15 balloons) filled while I waited. Any store that I walk out of with Hawaiian leis, shiny streamers, and a variety of three dozen balloons is a store I walk out of smiling from ear to ear. What is it about balloons that put a childlike grin on my face? While the prices may be a bit higher than that of a chain-type of party store, it feels a lot better to support what is obviously a family-run business. They're so nice and don't try to push you into buying more than you need. And trust me, it's extremely hard for me to resist myself in a party goods store. read more

I love it here! I suppose part of the reason is that I have a weird love for balloons, but whatevs. The amount of decorations for every single possible event or holiday in this small space is beyond impressive. They have an upstairs for off-season type stuff too, so if you don't see something, ask and they'll take you up. The balloons are the best here because they'll put an additive in them so they don't immediately fall to the floor after a few hours, make that a few weeks. I got some balloons three weeks ago and they're still mostly going strong. Insane! Customer service is great here, very family style with respect for the customer and their needs, including helping people to their car when they have tons of balloons. They also do large customized balloon pieces. I rented a mimosa (or punch as they call it) fountain for a bridal shower and it was reasonably priced and beautiful. read more

Think Party City: South Philly Style. Lots of cheesy centerpieces, balloon arches, chocolate fountains. They have a huge selection of balloons and some interesting decorations on the second level, but nothing to write home about. They have a pretty big selection of sprinkles, if you're um, into that sort of thing (I confess, I have made chocolate covered pretzel sticks and coated them in the most amazing sprinkles from Dino's). Living a few doors down from the place, it can get kind of irritating since they play music all the time and have big inflatable animals outside and block off the end of the street for them to put their trucks on. Prices are a little on the high side, but I'd rather go here than Party City. read more
