The staff were extremely nice and ready to help, but my biggest knock is that you have to crowd around the ice cream bar just to see the flavors. They're not posted anywhere in the store, so when it's packed, everyone's trying to peek at the case at the same time, making it hard to move around. The sign also says homemade ice cream, but when I asked one of the staff if they make it there, they said no. That said, the ice cream itself was delicious, and they offer a ton of unique flavors (which is even more reason they should display them somewhere). I got key lime pie, which had little pieces of pie crust in it definitely the star of the night with a scoop of peach on the bottom, which was also very good. My girlfriend got black cherry on top, which had tasty little chunks of chocolate (my second favorite out of the four flavors we tried), and red velvet on the bottom.

It's in a small shopping center that has lots of dining/dessert options. I only managed to make it about 45 minutes before close, so parking was easy and it wasn't busy. It smelled nice inside and looked clean. They offer a lot of different gelato desserts; the main draw I think is the twister cone, which is a baked cone that seems to be a donut-like pastry. This looked really good, but I was still too full from dinner to want anything quite that large. Service was a bit of a mixed bag. Two employees were there; one was a friendly young man who was clearly new as the other employee was teaching him how to ring up orders; the other was a surly older woman who seemed annoyed that I'd stopped in. I'm somewhat sympathetic since I did come in a little close to COB, but I don't think ~45 minutes is too unreasonable. I asked if they could make one of their signature cones in a cup instead and they agreed. I got the tiramisu variety, which is tiramisu and coffee gelato with coffee syrup and a ladyfinger. It was made in a reasonable time and I was rung up and headed out to my car to bring it back to eat at my hotel. The price was a little high but the portion was absolutely massive. You could easily split this treat. I certainly was unable to finish it. Overall, I thought it was only okay. The texture of the gelato was lovely, but the flavors were just kind of muted. I thought it should've been a bit sweeter, but not because the coffee was too strong; indeed, the coffee flavor was also just sort of light and unobtrusive. The syrup had an artificial taste that I wasn't crazy about and I was relieved when I'd eaten down past it to just spoonfuls of gelato. Lastly, the ladyfinger was sadly very stale, and even an attempt at ice cream rehydration didn't help it much. If I were to return, I'd definitely try one of the twister cones and would probably opt for a different flavor. Curiosity sated, for now!

There was a line of people out the door, but the service was fast and friendly, so the wait wasn't long. There are tables inside and outside, so there's plenty of seating. The tables outside have fans to help with the summer heat. The dining area was clean. Two of our kids ordered waffle bowls with one scoop of ice cream (chocolate and cappuccino crunch), and the third ordered a cake cone with a tall serving of soft serve vanilla. They were all happy with their choices. My husband ordered a small cup of birthday cake ice cream. He said it tasted more like cotton candy than birthday cake, but still enjoyed it. I tried the cappuccino chiller (frozen coffee with frozen yogurt). It was the perfect treat at the end of the day!
