We had problems with our oven and called Direct Appliance for repairs. We waited a week for the appointment. We were charged $105. The man told us he'd get back to us about the problem and part. He never did. They were closed for four days and when they reopened, I called. Nothing had been done. It appears someone did a quick look and called us back. They said they couldn't get the part for six months. I get this happened over the holidays and I know we've all had some supply chain issues. All that said, it took almost three weeks to get an answer, they didn't follow through on calling us, and had no solutions once I called them. read more

If you are looking for an appliance center that just sells appliances, delivers and installs then this business may be for you. I, on the other hand, expect the business I purchase my major appliance from to be very versed on HOW that appliance functions. I called on Thanksgiving day for some assistance on using the oven probe for my thanksgiving turkey. The on line manual (yes, don't look for the user manual to be part of the purchase package, you need to find it on line and print it), was not specific on how to use this function. The young salesman who took my call was also looking at the on line manual to assist me as he was not well versed on how this appliance worked. When I called out this was the second time I had call the business for assistance (the first time I was directed to the the manufacturer as Direct Appliance could not figure why the Wi-Fi connection and Alexa interface appeared not to be working over the phone) he indicated they sell hundreds of appliances and they could not be expected to know how each worked. He would try to research and call me back but he may have to direct me to the manufacturer. I was gobsmacked! Yes, I do expect you to know how to assist me on all the functions of this expensive product you sold me and do so with a positive attitude. Would you expect this type of a response and attitude from the person who sold you a car? How about the folks who put your mortgage together? I guess I am just old fashioned, expecting you to be in the know. I also wonder if the manufacturer is under the impression you are not fully familiar with the product they contract you to sell. Had a great experience today when looking to purchase a dishwasher that was not a planned purchase. We advised the salesman of what we were looking for and why and he took us over to show us one of their popular, mid-priced models where he explained all the features, colors, etc. We then looked at some models above and below that price point and he explained the different features and differences between each. With that, we narrowed our decision to two models with the first being the original model we looked at and the second being a model with some different features that my wife and I both agreed would be put to use regularly. While we were debating, he was able to get us a better price on the higher model which helped us make our decision. Now we will await the delivery and installation of our new dishwasher and haul away of our old. I was very impressed with the service as opposed to prior experiences in the box stores. He also reminded us that they service all they sell and if we should ever need service to give them a call first. I plan to return as now we plan to replace our remaining kitchen appliances a little sooner than our original plan. read more
