All of the prices beat State Farms rates and so I made an appointment to go speak to them. When I first got there the CSR, Kelli, greeted me and was very friendly. I only had to wait for a minute before I saw the agent, Nicole Andrews. From here my experience got better. She explained everything to me and pointed out some things that I didn't even know I didn't have on my State Farm poilicies. She was very easy to talk to. While I was there the owner came in and introduced herself to me and thanked me for coming in. I was so surprised at how easy the transition was to move all of my policies. They took care of all of the paperwork and even sent over cancellation letters to my State Farm agent. After an electrical event damaged my grinder pump and the pump breaker box, raw sewage began spilling into my yard, creating a serious health hazard. My family couldn't safely stay in our home, and I had to pay to stay in an Airbnb while waiting for my claim to be handled. Instead of promptly helping during an emergency, I felt like I was met with delays, repeated requests for more documentation, and resistance to covering the damage. After 14 years of paying my premiums on time, I expected my insurance company to stand behind me when I needed them most. Insurance is supposed to provide peace of mind during unexpected disasters. Unfortunately, that was not my experience. Based on how my claim was handled, I cannot recommend Farmers Insurance. I hope they improve the way they treat long-time customers facing urgent situations.

She is condescending and belittling to anyone who doesn't understand something insurance related and her attitude needs more work than a run down decrepit Victorian mansion. The only reason I stayed with her is because ALFA was the cheapest; I checked with Farmers, Allstate and State Farm and I would have had to pay about $1000 more for coverage. However a blessing came to me recently because due to some kind of "changes" my insurance agent is now at another ALFA location so I don't have to deal with this ill-mannered woman anymore. How Kelly go to be an insurance agent is anyone's guess! My advice: if you can't leave this woman due to cost then ask to be assigned to another ALFA agent which looking back is probably what I should have done after the first time she acted like an a** to me. She then questioned me as to whether or not I had known him, but I replied I had not and that the only person I had known with that name was a female. Mrs. Deford then proceeded to ream me, commenting on some very personal family items that should not have been discussed in a business setting, when I was there for nothing more that a car insurance quote. Very, very unprofessional. While my heart goes out to your family, you are in dire need of some counseling and classes on management and professionalism!
