Really good vet and loving people. Truly care for their animals. We take all our animals there, even in a emergency they have helped us. Can't thank them enough for all their hard work, also work with rescue organisations too. read more

But they do, very much, which says a lot. Here you're likely to run into all sorts of animals, and not just your everyday domestic kind, because they also look after exotic birds, reptiles and even native animals. As well as providing general veterinary services, the University of Melbourne Veterinary Hospital also takes care of more serious issues regarding your pet with specialised services in surgery, anaesthesia, radiology, clinical pathology and neurology. This is were I come in. I had to bring my cat in to run some tests, unfortunately he wasn't as happy to be here like everyone else. The neurologist was very careful not to exacerbate his fear, and in fact spent a little time just stroking him to make him feel more at ease. After the consultation I was told that if anything were to come up, no matter how small, or if I was worried about anything at all, I should call them immediately so they can keep track of his condition. I even got a call from the neurologist the following week, who had just called to check up on how things were going. It's small things like this that make

I got fed paying for nothing and in the end took him back to my vet (who was on holiday at the time) and he had severe liver damage. In the end he was put down but I paid $1500 for nothing at this rubbish clinic!! 7 years later I took my dog there for another emergency. I was already reluctant to go but unfortunately I had no other choice as the 2 other clinics near me were closed. They charged me again A LOT of money for colourful bandages and medicine that should be half the price!! They are an absolute joke and staff call themselves veterinarians?? Please!! Give me a break!!

Without mentioning names they appeared to be more about the money than the interest & care in animals. Then, we made the best decision we've ever made and went to see Dr. Sos & his wonderful team (Ella & Natalie) at the Sunshine Veterinary Clinic. I honestly believe that they loved our little man as much as we did. I speak in past tense as we recently lost our little mate to a heart condition, but we honestly believe that we got at least another two years with him thanks to the care given by Dr Sos. The care and concern shown towards our family since the passing of our beloved family member has been above & beyond what anyone could ever expect. This lovely team really, really care! I cannot thank Dr. Sos, Ella & Natalie, enough for all that they have done for us and I highly recommend them if you want your pet to be well looked after and cared for. We look forward to getting a new Pup in the future and can't wait to introduce him to the wonderful, caring team at Sunshine Veterinary Clinic. Muttley's Family

Two standout features: 1) E-mail appointment reminders, with links that allow you to very easily book your next visit online. It literally took 15 seconds to schedule a time that worked for me. 2) A free 30-day pet insurance trial, plus personalized advice from the vet re: her provider of choice and why. Really important info that can save $$$ on vet bills long term. Our vet wasn't the snuggliest person on earth - she was somewhat matter-of-fact - but was very thorough, gentle and otherwise pleasant. Our kitten had a series of vaccinations that day and, due to the steady hand and calm nature of the vet, she got through it without protest. Can't complain. The front desk staff, as previously mentioned, are incredibly nice and obviously love animals, which creates a very friendly atmosphere from the minute you walk in the door. Overall, highly recommended for routine checkups, vaccinations, advice and good-quality pet supplies.

This is a small practice so don't expect bells and whistles in the facility for example, but rather personalised friendly professional and genuine care, kindness and skill. With a policy of no bookings other than for procedures, I have been surprised by a very low waiting time compared to other veterinary practices I have attended in Melbourne's suburbs. I was also amazed by the stitching skill on my pooch after surgery - I think a plastic surgeon couldn't have left any less of a scar or straighter a line. Although we first think of this as only cosmetic it made a huge difference to the comfort of my dog and therefore her healing time as she wasn't always licking or scratching as they often do when wounds are irritating them.

While this is a commitment, we see Sarah as an equal member of the family to our other pets, and equally worthy of the best care possible. Dr Phil and the other staff at this clinic always impress me with their warmth, expertise, genuine care and dedication. I can trust them to be gentle and experienced when handling Sarah, and for any procedures, so that her visits to the vet are stress free. And being a Saturday it's going to be a really sick pet too. When I noticed my youngest fur-child rather unwell on a Saturday morning, I rang the first local vet that I could find. A reassuring vet talked me through the potential issues and told me to call back later if things got worse. Things did get worse. So off we went a walking to meet the nice new vet. As a childless woman in her late 20s most professionals, vets/doctors, do seem to take pleasure in pushing aside your concerns as misspent youth and nothing more. Thankfully the vet nurses and vet himself had skipped this class at vet 101 school. The staff listened and took into consideration my concerns and vague descriptions. During the entire consultation the vet clearly explained terms, any expected costs and alternative things we could consider. All the while handling poor Toby with the utmost love and attention.
