I have been taking my dogs there for as long as I can remember and have always received exemplary service. There are currently four vets and six nurses on staff and they are always really friendly. They treat all kinds of animals including dogs, cats, birds, rabbits, reptiles, rodents, guinea pigs and ferrets. They provide general check-ups as well as more generalized services like radiology, ultrasound and surgery. My dogs tend to love it because they get given treats from their favourite vet Dr. Kent Marshall. He has treated all three of my dogs over the years and always remembers my family when we turn up for various problems like getting the sock my dog swallowed removed from his tummy - yep, that was an embarrassing visit! The clinic has a yard around it where dogs can have one last toilet stop before their appointment and stretch their legs. Inside there is a waiting room, which gets pretty lively when there are a lot of pets. There are pet toys and accessories available for sale in here as well as pet food. Behind the counter is well stocked with various medications that you may purchase upon recommendation from one of the trusted vets. Vaccinated puppies aged between eight and sixteen weeks are eligible to participate in four-week long puppy school. At only $77 for a four week course taught by the really nice vet nurses this is awesome value and your puppy will have a heap of fun meeting the other dogs. Covered in colourful cartoon murals this place is really fun to go to as a kid and animal lovers will enjoy the short interactions with different kinds of pets in the waiting room. The clinic operates from Monday to Friday 8am - 8pm, Saturday 8am-3pm and Sunday 10am-12noon. They are closed on Christmas Day and Good Friday.

I've got a decent number of pets - two Bengal cats, a fairly young puppy, and a turtle named Neil. As you would imagine, I spend a bit of cash when it comes to looking after them all. Since Petstock opened in Vermont South, they've saved me a small fortune - as much as 25% on some items, and that's not on sale either. And thanks to them, Neil gets a steady stream of feeder fish instead of (or sometimes in addition to) those horrible frozen fish pellets. Neil likes the fish so much that he's adopted two of them, and one of those is now nearly big enough to need his own tank. If you're a breeder of domestic pets (my wife and I used to breed Bengals), they stock super large bags (like 15-25kg) of cat and dog food, and if they don't have it, they're happy to order it in. They also offer services like puppy school, and they have a good rewards program for loyal customers.

She told me to wait for a month to see if it would subside but I was too anxious so she said we could take out the growth and biopsy it. I was so grateful. She really understood my needs as well as my puppy. Today the procedure was done and my dog is fine. We have to wait for the biopsy result but I am confident that I am in good hands. Anne Nevill has been great with other matters too. The previous time I had been to another vet who told me my dog had cancer and needed his anal glands removed. I came to Anne for a second opinion and it turned out that my dog had an infected anal gland and she lanced it and gave him antibiotics and he was fine. NO cancer. How about that... So I cant praise her enough. She certainly knows her stuff and is a pleasure to deal with and a life saver.... The staff too are lovely and the whole environment is friendly and relaxed. ‼ ZERO STARS - Gross negligence and failure of duty of care…read more They let my beloved girl die from untreated sepsis ‼ I brought my diabetic girl to Advance Vet Kensington. She was already collapsed on arrival, with a swollen, painful forelimb, obvious distress, and systemic illness. An x-ray revealed gas and fluid in the limb - a textbook red flag for necrotising infection and sepsis. A blood gas test also confirmed she was critically unwell. Despite this, the night staff did nothing. She was never diagnosed. She was given only methadone for pain relief and anti-nausea. No shock-rate fluids were administered, no antibiotics, oxygen or insulin were given, and no stabilisation was attempted. I was told to wait until 8 am, or even midday, for a surgeon. This advice, to delay urgent treatment in a collapsed, septic, diabetic patient was grossly negligent and unforgivable. Their dismissive and demeaning conduct made it worse: I had rung in advance and arrived calm and clear about her condition, yet I was treated as though I had woken them up from sleep with an inconvenience rather than a medical emergency. When the morning shift arrived at 7am, they finally recognised how severe the situation was. At that point, I was asked to approve and sign for $15,000 in hospitalisation fees before any treatment plan was commenced. I have never once put a price on my dog's health, but to withhold urgent, life-saving care until a financial signature was obtained added another layer of negligence. Emergency measures were then attempted, but the sepsis had already advanced too far. In fact, the first antibiotic was not administered until after her heart had stopped, during CPR. Her death was preventable. The staff failed to act on clear diagnostic evidence, failed to treat her as an emergency, and failed to treat me with even the most basic respect. Their negligence, inaction, and attitude directly caused a preventable death. To add insult to injury, I was charged $4,000 for six hours of neglect.

We were so worried about parvo and were taken in within 40 minutes and had him home within 24 hours after treatment (obviously not parvo). They quickly diagnosed the likely issue (swallowed plastic), kept us informed at all times including a running total of the account. The vets had great handover and kept us informed of current treatment and possible outcomes... clinic is very clean, staff professional and updates were fabulous. From us though, a 5 star service and one I highly recommend for emergency visits..

I took Sarah here nearly 3 years ago, when I noticed she was experiencing shortness of breath. Dr Phil diagnosed her with heart disease, and started Sarah on medications which relieved her breathing difficulties, and greatly improved her energy levels. Amazingly, Sarah is still active and happy now, at 11 years of age, thanks to being given her medications twice a day. While this is a commitment, we see Sarah as an equal member of the family to our other pets, and equally worthy of the best care possible. Dr Phil and the other staff at this clinic always impress me with their warmth, expertise, genuine care and dedication. I can trust them to be gentle and experienced when handling Sarah, and for any procedures, so that her visits to the vet are stress free. I travel over 80 km each way to come here, and consider it well worth it. Highly recommend.
