I told Rick about the whole situation --I spilled a whole plate of food down our flight of steps--you really don't need to know what was on the plate, but on the steps, it was nasty! I said do you think you could come asap as it's a mess. Rick said is today ok? I said, "absolutely, when do you think you could be here?". Rick said :" how's 15-30 minutes". Again I said "absolutely, thank you." They were here promptly and the team left it spotless. I've used Kauffman's several times and will continue to use them. They are a well-known family business which we are fortunate to have in the Reading, PA area. I thank you Rick and Kauffman's. As for value because it was an emergency, they were extremely fairly priced. Don't base your carpet cleaning on one bad review...call Kauffman's. No, I am not related to the business! You will love their service and expertise. They're the best that we've had and we've lived here for 40 years. They also clean grout which is my next call to a wonderful business.

The franchise owner admitted his mistake with changing the appointment at the last minute because he was looking at a note from a previously scheduled appointment, but no apology and no attempt to make things right. This would normally be fine; however, I had another appointment to get to prior to them coming. They told me I had to reschedule. SO UNPROFESSIONAL!!! & Robin is unreasonable and unprofessional. They ruined my day because I kept the day open for them to be here. Now i can't use the dryer until it is cleaned. They should have made it a point to send the technician back at a later time today.

I just called for the third time and am now told it will be delivered tomorrow. We will see, but I am doubtful. It's a shame you are not able to contact the local office directly, but instead have to talk with folks in a centralized scheduling office. This is now a matter of principle. I had purchased a new home, it was filthy. I hired this company to clean before I had painters…read morearriving. There was a deadline for the project. The job required: top to bottom, inside and out cleaning of cabinets and drawers, windows, and deep cleaning of all trim/baseboards. I was given a price of $290.00 I paid for the job and tipped the cleaners (very stupid, I know, I was excited to be at my new home and was way too trusting) After I went looking around and literally nothing that I required in my original request was completed. The floors were mopped, the inside of the oven was "wiped", it smelled incredibly heavy of chemicals, and there were blue tablets put in the toilets. That is the only work I can see that was completed. Everything that I wanted done was still completely filthy. I honestly think the cleaners hung out at my house for hours and did nothing. You see the pictures. I shared all my pictures with the owner, he said he was sending them back that night and to please leave the code on the door so they could access. I said that was fine. Two days later, I returned to the house and realized they had never returned, and everything was in the same condition. The owner never even told me they weren't going to come back. When I reached out he said, he forgot to tell me they were not going to return that day as I was told and they were going to come Monday. I had already been clear the job had to be done by that Sunday night. I then shared even more pictures, filthy outlet plates, cabinets that hadn't been wiped inside or outside, and all the trim that hadn't been cleaned, let alone deep cleaned. We agreed he would send me a refund that Monday. When Monday came and went, he told me he would not be sending a refund, I would only be due a partial refund, accounting would have to handle that. I spent 3 hrs alone deep cleaning the kitchen. I was scammed, and not only was I scammed the owner flat-out lied. He was sending them back, he was refunding me. This was a horrible start to homeownership and beyond disappointing. It's not that a bad job was done, the job wasn't done at all. The owner won't even respond to Thumbtack as they tried to resolve the issue.

It has now been 24 hours and we had to rent a commercial fan to dry our carpet Our den was wet, not damp 18 hours after it was cleaned. The worst was when the technician emptied his hoses on our driveway which was sealed this summer. We now have discolored areas. And yes, we tried to hose it with water after he left.
