A third-party was hired to do required asbestos testing but we were not informed it was a third-party; Dry Force bills for that under their own name and would not provide invoice from third-party. I paid in full the amount I was told owed separate from insurance payment. Today, I received a call inquiring about the balance on my account. I informed DryForce I would not be paying anything additional - I paid what I owed and they confirmed to me what our insurer was paying prior to my remittance. Get your crap together.

The initial technician claimed they would work with my insurance and even suggested replacing all my kitchen counters. That seemed excessive, but I trusted his guidance. After signing the contract, he texted me about a "fantastic" deal that would save me money and returned shortly after, saying we didn't need to involve insurance. Instead, he quoted a flat $3,200 to fix the water damage. He left two fans and another piece of equipment, promising someone would return the next day (Saturday) to continue the job. Saturday came and went -- no one showed up. At 5 p.m., a technician called to say he ran out of time and would come Sunday at 9 a.m. That didn't happen either. After a few follow-ups, I was told the tech had a flat tire and would arrive by 11:05. Eventually, Jordan showed up. By this point, I was completely frustrated. Jordan was polite and listened, but when I asked what he was there to do, he said he was only checking moisture levels and would drill holes in the toe kick to blow in more air. When I asked about repairing the sheetrock damage, he told me Dry Force doesn't do sheetrock repairs. Seriously? $3,200 just to blow air? At that point, I told them to pack up and leave. Jordan called his manager, who picked up with, "How can I help you?" I replied, "You tell me -- your team can't complete the job." The manager said he'd review everything and call me back the next day. That call never came -- just an email and a $1,000 invoice for a job that was never completed. I declined to pay it and told them why. I never heard back. To top it off, Jordan told me he was originally assigned to my call but got pulled off for a "bigger job," and that the technician from Austin turned around because he got sick -- just another example of poor coordination and communication. Bottom line: poor service, misleading communication, incomplete work, and unacceptable follow-through. Look elsewhere.

It really sucks when you develop relationships where you give and care about a business and that isn't reciprocated. I've given Portico thousands in business. I always tipped over and always made sure they were treated fairly. After the freeze I called John and told him my rug needed to be steamed out. Well he came out and I agreed to the drive cost and price to steam the rug. He took it for four days and I gave him plenty of time for it to dry. When he brought it back it was wrapped in plastic. I assumed it was dry so I went to sleep that night and left it the next day until I could get to it. When I went to unwrap it, the rug was wet. I had no idea and he didn't tell me. This meant he waited til the last minute to clean the rug before bringing it back. I indicated the rug at soured and he said he would come grab it and resteam it. A week later he had still not come back and the carpet just soured and sat there. I told him I'd like a refund and he did refund me. The issue is the rug was 350 and the service was 120. I chalked it up to a loss because I had used John for so long. Two months later I needed a quick steam on a Jeep and offered to drive to him to steam the front seats (a 10 min job), and I asked him to throw me a deal since we had the issue with the rug (I was thinking 40 dollars which is half the rate I normally pay for the whole vehicle). Since it was just two front seats and I was driving to him I though it was a win for him. Nope. 85.00 min. I think the two really great kids I met and used for 5+ years have since lost their customer service skills. Perhaps it's all about the dollar. I found a replacement at half the cost. It sucks I had to, but I'm better off for it now. I wish you guys well.

I hired PuroClean after the Eaton Fire in CA, and while the cleaning itself was acceptable, some…read moreproperty was damaged and the experience with the Central Houston office who handled coordination and communication -- has been extremely disappointing. Items were removed from our home without notice, I had to hound them for updates once a week even though daily updates were promised in the job quote. Prior to payment, responses were fairly prompt, usually within 24 hrs -- after payment, the rep (Jacob Darden) stopped responding to my emails except to argue about why I shouldn't receive a refund for a 2 month late hygiene report that came back showing soot still in the house. I called Jacob to explain why a refund was warranted and received a verbal confirmation that a refund would happen. This was followed by continuing to ignore all emails over the course of 2 months of attempting to get a response. This kind of customer service is unacceptable. I would advise anyone to avoid working with PuroClean.
