For whatever reason, my big confident dog was very uncomfortable here. We stopped in for a nail trim. I've not seen him have this reaction before. He doesn't mind having his nails trimmed, in fact when one paw is finished he will hand you the next paw. He knows the procedure. The gals working there were nice enough altho they didn't seem thrilled to have us just walk in. I was also looking to make an appt for a groom, but they can't accommodate dogs over 80 pounds. Just as well since he was so uncomfortable there. Just a very weird vibe for us. Found another groomer that could accommodate us and he was his normal happy self with them (Aloha). read more

We took our two dogs in to be groomed! The grooming job was bad completely uneven, they look ridiculous. This wasn't the worst part! When the dogs returned they kept shaking their heads like something was wrong with their ears. Upon investigation we found that our poodle had burns on her ears and the water dog had a cut that was bloody. This is unacceptable. When I contacted them and left a message about the issues stating I want my money back they basically ghosted us! I highly recommend no one take their dogs to this groomer! I cannot say enough good things about Lisa. And if my dog Pookie could talk, he would have a thing or two to say as well. Pookie is an eight-year-old American Eskimo. They are known to be somewhat high strung. Pookie also suffered some trauma at the hands of a previous groomer. I was having such trouble finding a new dog groomer and some turned me down after the first visit. A friend recommended Lisa at Dirty Dog and I decided to give her a try. I explained Pookie's situation and she was so understanding. She made a special appointment with plenty of time to get to know Pookie. I told her to do what she could and I would understand. Each time she was able to do more and more. By the third trip, she accomplished everything! I talked to other groomers, but oddly enough, it was Pookie who made the decision. Lisa is great and I would recommend her to anyone with a dog who needs special attention. read more

Love these gals! Have taken my old boy there twice in the last 6 months. He has been treated carefully and gotten a nice bath and cut. This second time I also took my little old nervous girl who just needed a bath. She was just a shakin' away when I dropped her off. When I picked her up she was calmly relaxing in a crate! A great experience for my dog Lucy and me. I can always tell when I pick Lucy up if she is happy and has been treated well or shaking and scared because of a bad experience. Lucy was perky and happy and playful with Lisa her groomer. Lisa was very friendly and professional, she asked all the right questions to make sure Lucy was well cared for. After reading the reviews for the other grooming places in Florence I was a little nervous about getting Lucy groomed. It seemed no one has had a good grooming experience in Florence. First time bringing my 10 year old Shitzu Lhasa mix Kobe here for grooming, and they did a fantastic job! My primary concern was finding a low-stress groomer for him as he recently had a traumatic experience, from which it took him days to recover. Not only did he do great with this groomer, he was cut much more to my liking than anywhere else! I had been debating changing groomer and called Lisa, she was able to get him in same day. I moved to Florence and needed a place to take my two chihuahuas for nail clips. I stopped in on a whim, they got them both right in and did a great job. My boy is an abuse survivor and is very fussy about his feet. He was relaxed and had no issues. My girl is just a royal pain, she was also very relaxed and didn't mind her visit. We took our Border Collie Husky mix to get groomed last Friday. He is a 9 year old rescue and we do not know if he has been professionally groomed before. The staff was very attentive to this, and they were very gentle with him. When we picked him up he was not stressed at all. They did a very good job, would recommend. read more
