This guy is not only good at what he does, but he provides excellent service on top of it. I had a property that needed immediate help in clearing items out. Since I don't live in the area, time is of the essence for me when trying to get things done. I had looked up Junk Busters on Yelp and they were my first phone call. Within 15 minutes, Lucas called me back to get an assessment of the situation. After texting and emailing some initial photos, he was able to give me an immediate quote. It wasn't the cheapest quote but certainly not the most expensive either. The other services who charged less, also told me it would take them longer (several days) to do the job that he noted he could do in a day. For a per hour job, it was $45 + $15 day for gas. Dump fees would be paid by me but the hourly rate included his truck, tools, and his labor, all of which is accompanied by an 8 hour minimum. What's more impressive is that he was in the middle of a haul when he was consulting with me; talk about multi-tasking. He came over the next day and like a New Yorker, he kept it super real with me. He gave me advice on getting rid of certain items and was extremely kind throughout the process. I wouldn't hesitate to hit up Lucas again to clear out a place and would recommend his services to anyone.

Lucas offered to come the next day and give us a free estimate, walking through everything we'd want done and giving us a very fair price estimate right away. It took us a few weeks to sort out the right time to do it but Lucas was always willing to answer any questions that came up (like: "how much would it be if we did this and didn't do this" type questions all of us non-millionaires end up having). Long story short, we hired him and we are SO glad we did! He communicated professionally and clearly, always arrived on time, and his work was phenomenal - thorough and with obvious attention to detail. We love our home and we could see he knew and respected that, treating our property like he would his own. When I called to set up my service, I had told them about the garbage that was left and was told "I'll send out a message to have them come back and pick it up." I called 3 out of the next 5 days and was told the same thing, "I'll send out a message to have it picked up." On the third phone call I asked what that meant since I had been told that multiple times with no action and was finally told "if someone is available, they will come pick it up, but it likely won't be until your next service day." While I understand that the garbage that was left for us wasn't their fault, I was frustrated by the run-around I was continuously given and wish they would've been transparent. Fast forward 4 months (with admittedly minimal issues), to today which is our scheduled pick-up day. I noticed this morning that our trash, recycling, and yard debris bins were being picked up and taken away in a trailer, and unfortunately, I didn't notice until the truck was driving away. I called Republic Services to ask why our bins were picked up and was told that it must've been an error. My bill is paid and up to date and I did not ask for the bins to be picked up. Again, I was given the same "I'll send out a message" response and was also told that if the guy was still in the area (I called as I saw them driving away) that he could bring them back, and that pick-ups and deliveries are typically only on service days. Meaning, if our bins were not brought back today, that we would have to wait an entire week to have them delivered again and then another week after that to have them dumped. In true Republic Services fashion, our bins were not brought back today. My husband also called mid-day today to ask about the bins as they had not been brought back and was given the same "I'll send out a message" run around kind of answer. The routine lack of transparency, seemingly incompetent office staff, and the fact that they did not fix THEIR mistake today is the reason I will be cancelling my service. I have already reached out to another company to set up service and will be calling Republic Services first thing Monday to cancel with them.

AND when I asked her about her staff [because I was worried about turnover in todays economy and the service industry] she was a little taken aback. BUT she defended her staff and TRULY likes her staff, and her retention rate was great, she mentioned. Okay, I will take her on her word. In comes the first deep clean..here we go. She warned me it was a FULL day.. and it was. When I tell you there were no less than 10 people in this house top and bottom floors, I'm not joking. I watched them like bees in a hive. I've owned rental properties throughout the Midwest, I've retained MANY move in, move out and continual cleaning services. But I have never seen what they did. None of them spoke a word. Yet in tandem, did things I never even thought to do. There was no weird odor, no smell, no chit chat, no laughing no talking no nonsense. This group was HERE TO DO A JOB. I sat here, in my chair, in AWE and watched as [what I call kids..all in their 20's and 30's] worked like a successful unit. Here is the truth-I was exhausted. It almost brought tears to my eyes. Watching my home being transformed into something immaculate, my sanctuary becoming spotless. One by one cleaning and picking up as they went, by the end of an 8 hour day they were gone and I had not recognized my home by clock out time. What they did, SHE SAID THEY WOULD DO. No sitting on their phones, no loud music, no TEXTING, NO TALKING TO ONE ANOTHER WASTING TIME.. I was so appreciative you have no idea. I watched them ALL like hawks, but there was ZERO to watch for. It has been months now, and today was my cleaning day. You will not know they are there. You will not know they are gone. I am still in awe, I am STILL as grateful as ever and they will have a lifelong client as long as they are in business. This is a 100% factual based review. I have no skin in this game, I do not know them, but I will tell you this. THEY ARE A PHENOMENAL BUSINESS MODEL. And you would be foolish not to try to secure their services.
