When you can get one of the reps they are awesome and very helpful; however there are periods in which they are hugely unresponsive. They assisted me in getting to 100% after years of toil (20 to be exact) had me at zero and then 10%. My dad who served on the same Danger Ranger as me has severe issues and he is a Texas sailor and is getting the VA run around down there. We had a liaison to assist us, but he's been MIA for a few months and no one responds at this Wilshire location. read more

I've called their customer support 877-426-2838. Left voicemail and messages but no one calls back. I've tried multiple calls at different hours of the weekday and no one responds. Only a voicemail with no callbacks. And to think I paid them in full for my membership thinking I was helping to serve others in that too. read more

This is mostly an outcome based thing. They got me 100%, so I think they're great. Thing is, you need to have a claim to pursue. A real, verifiable claim. Not just dreamland. These guys are good because they go down to the VA claims people, grab your folder, and bring the whole thing back upstairs and go through it with you. Where else can that be done? read more

I have had the same bad experience at the west LA office, you call them and they take your name and SS # but then no ones calls you back. I have complained to the office supervisor Tom about this but it did no good so to start with they need to get rid of him. I also called and complained three times to the DC office to a guy who oversees the west LA office I think his name was Steve, he assured me he would fix the problem but did nothing as well either so the hell with the DAV there not getting any more donations from me. Best to join a organization that cares about helping Veterans but the DAV is just not one of them. read more

I have been trying to work with this location for the pass 6 Months or so. You can almost never can get ahold of anyone over the phone. When you do they will take your take your name and SSN and say a rep will call you back but will never do. I had to send emails to the supervisor to get a response but still gotten no feedback. read more

I've been working with or trying to work with the DAV in WLA for the past year or so. I know nothing about other DAV reps or facilities. The DAV came highly recommended by some other vet friends that I know and seemed to have had good results. However, for some reason that hasn't been the case for me. I started out great with a rep, then he left another one came then he left now I have another rep which I haven't met yet and he didn't have an open appointment for at least 2 mos. My point is that it has been hard getting an appt'mt w/the DAV and sometimes just as hard getting through on the phone so I don't know what to tell you. I just moved on and went to another vet service which has been great, just walk in and wait your turn but usually get seen the same day and they handle the same business. read more
