This guy is terrible. My wife and I contacted Clinton to take care of benefits for my wife's…read moremother. After MANY meetings, phone calls and emails (a years worth) the claim was finally submitted and Clinton assured us that everything was fine and my mother-in-law would be receiving the benefits due her from her deceased husbands service in the military. A short time later we received a letter that denied her claim! We were shocked because Clinton lead us to believe that she had everything in order and was eligible for these benefits. We contacted Clinton to explain what happened, he had no answer and then stopped all communication with us, no calls, no emails, nothing. He has paperwork of ours and will not return it. The guy just doesn't care. While we were in contact with him, through all of his delays, he said he should have filed some type of request to initiate the claim so she would have received benefits retroactively, which of course he didn't. This whole experience was frustrating! Don't use this company for anything.

I first discovered the studio by signing up for a class, and from the very beginning it felt special. When I initially came in to sign up, the studio itself was very open and active, which felt a little overwhelming at first. But almost immediately, a few members greeted me, gave me a tour, and made me feel genuinely welcome. That sense of warmth and community stood out right away. The class format worked perfectly with my schedule as well -- I work during the day, and the afternoon class times made it easy to commit and stay consistent. The talent in this studio is incredible. The members are skilled, generous, and always happy to offer advice, tips, or encouragement as you build your pottery and ceramics skills. It's an environment where learning feels natural and supported. On top of that, the sense of community goes far beyond the wheel -- members regularly bring in homemade baked goods, and some even organize potlucks and gatherings outside of the studio. It truly feels like a creative home, not just a place to take classes. During my time as a member, I experienced some personal hardships and had to travel due to the loss of a family member. I wasn't able to come into the studio for weeks at a time and eventually considered canceling my membership. When I came in to talk with the owner, Deric, I was prepared to take a break. Before I even mentioned canceling, he kindly offered to hold my membership while I was away. That level of understanding and compassion honestly made all the difference and is a big reason I stayed.

For years I've had tension headaches due to poor posture. I knew I needed to work on my posture but…read morefelt overwhelmed at the idea of retraining years of sitting and standing habits so I was reluctant to get started. My husband recommended I look into trying Alexander Technique and a quick search led me to Constance who is based nearby. I loved working with Constance from the very first lesson. She welcomed me into her cozy studio and I immediately felt at home in her warm, relaxed presence. I began feeling better after incorporating things she showed in in my very first lesson. I signed up for 10 lessons and began seeing her once or twice a week. Each week we built on what was learned before and I began to have a real shift in the way I held and used my body -- even friends and family started comment. Best of all, I had a big reduction in my headaches which went from being almost daily to just a few times a month. A few years went by and I decided to start seeing Constance again to refresh and work on my Alexander Technique. Again I felt a big shift after the very first lesson. I feel so grateful to have found Constance and had the opportunity to work with her. I look forward to my lessons with her each week! Not only has she shown me how to begin to undo all these old habits and to use my body with more ease, she's also shown me how to approach this work with curiosity and gentleness. Perform duties as a Team Player or perform duties as written within the Governing Document?…read more I was voted to the board of directors as a First VP for 2022/2023 term. I began to receive requests from an incoming board member to perform First VP duties prior to installation date of 05/26/22. To this person, I presented the paragraphs within the governing documents supporting my argument to when a newly elected board member begins their duties and when an outgoing board member's duties end. While attending a "new member" luncheon at a Rancho Mirage restaurant, I was verbally belittled by another club member (incoming chair member) as attendees were leaving the luncheon. As new member attendees exited and with patrons of the restaurant nearby, I was (in loud voice) directed to disregard the governing documents, and unless I did just that, I was not considered a team player. As I walked away from both the incoming board member and the incoming chair member, the words "that is your job" was the loud resounding verbal directive that followed my exit. It was clear, I was expected to perform First VP duties absent of installation and absent of the protections of the Not-for-Profit. On, April 26, 2022, I made the choice to step away from the First VP position, as a point of principle.
