It was suggested that we deliver down here as it has a NICU (just in case). Unfortunately, "just in case" became a reality and our boy is in the NICU. After a few conversations with the on staff social worker at the hospital and a few of the nurses and doctors, we were guided to the Hanson House as a place to stay nearby so we didn't have to drive an hour between home and hospital. My wife and I were completely brought to tears at the accommodations and hospitality that we were greeted with and given as we navigate through these tough days. Thank you.

Walked the 1/2 mike gardens and saw a movie about how diplomacy lives here. It's the Camp David of the west. It's lovely. One day I will go on a tour, but for now... the grounds are divine and the exhibit beautiful. A great place full of inspiration and many presidents have been here to do business and sign monumental legislation!! A retreat and a bird sanctuary. Oh my so breath taking. Did not know about President Regan visiting their home and other politicians and dignitaries. The public garden is a photographer's dream and I was thrilled to try out my new camera. Saw the expansive property along with the exterior of their house, Chinese pavilion, totem pole, golf course, retreat house with pool and guest bungalows. There's a small art collection as you walk in with a stellar view of the mountains. I recommend catching the 20 minute movie which provide context to the experience. There is a cafe and gift shop. One of the popular items is olive oil which is made from the olives grown on the premise. Also notable is this is staff - all very helpful to me and my mother who walks with a cane but needed wheelchair assistance during this visit.

Today was no different. I visited the Palm Springs, CA USO as I prepared to return home from a business trip. This USO Iis in a separate building on the other side of the car return lot. It is huge!! The volunteer staff are exceedingly welcoming and friendly. Ron Meire (sp) gave me a tour which included showing me a news clipping of him that was posted on the bulletin board. The clipping was the announcement of his enlistment in the military in 1967. He was assigned overseas to South Korea. . His dipping was among other news clippings of others who have served.. Ron, it was a pleasure meeting you today---thank you for your service, and thank you for continuing to serve!!! I salute you, sir!!!

Some of them experienced the suck(Camp Wilson/ITX/CAX/Mojave Viper) and genuinely are glad to see you survive. + Lounging around- Decent sized space to lounge around for a small airport. Lots of seats in the kitchen area and upstairs. + Free- USO is a by donation organization supporting the troops and beneficiaries. Coffee and a light hot dog/ice cream float to fill your hunger. Don't need to buy over priced airport food. + Parking- free designated stalls for those using the services. Thank you Palm Springs USO for the hospitality!

A…read morefriend of mine said she found a pair of Chanel sunglasses in there today priced at $200 when you can buy them for $200 at Nordstrom's rack and on Poshmark. I think it's ridiculous that a nonprofit is pricing their items that high. It's price gouging and newsflash you are no competition to resellers. We spend more money there than an average person. It's a shame I no longer will shop at that location!
