I called this company for a recurring washer drain clog. Their tech was friendly, but the entire service ended up being a chain of misdiagnoses and upsells: First diagnosis: "It's the P-trap." Cost: $650. Didn't fix anything. Second diagnosis: "It's ventilation. A Studor vent will fix it 99% sure." Cost: $850. They cut open my wall, tested it, STILL didn't fix anything. Only after all that did they finally run a camera and claim the pipe was "collapsed." At that point, I was charged $500 to stop the job, and they left me with: A hole in the wall A cut, exposed pipe An unfinished repair Zero documentation of the alleged collapsed line And the exact same problem I originally called them for This all could have been prevented if they had done a proper camera inspection BEFORE cutting into my wall and installing parts I didn't need.

Another plumber that our realtor called since we were out of town when the leak was discovered said we needed to call the manufacturer to get a new part or buy a new water conditioner. Hyram said the big box store water softeners are often cheaply made. He recommended a higher quality softener but he also thought he could fix the leak by removing the flex hoses and "hard plumb" the pipes to the softener. By aligning the pipes better the pipes cold move vertically under pressure without breaking the seal. Paula told me there would be no charge since Bob had been here within the past year. Based on that, she said Bob would come take a look. When Bob arrived, I mentioned that Paula had advised me. His response was, "What does Paula know?" He checked the code and said everything was normal. Later, Paula called and charged me a $79 service fee. I paid the fee, but I am very unhappy with the inconsistency in communication and the unexpected charge.
