I did see someone run over a beer bottle cap at the park which popped their tires, so maybe the bike insurance isn't so bad of an idea. The employees ensure that the bike frame and seat height fits and that we know how to use the locking mechanism before we get sent out. Bikes are in decent condition, functional for the most part, but could be better.

You need to provide an ID they can keep while you have the bike. I suggest bringing a library card, medical cannabis or something like that...I didn't want to part with my passport or drivers license for two week. lol. But they were cool. They will work with you. They are fabulous. I rented a bike for 2+ weeks and probably rode 100 miles on that thing. It was awesome. They put a bag on it, adjusted the brakes halfway through and were so helpful.
