If you want to know how amazing they are, try any other rental agency. As we were warmly welcomed at the desk in Glasgow Airport, ushered straight to our car, with impeccable service from Cameron and Josh, we laughed at the people in the Hertz line still waiting as we drove off to the Highlands. Thanks Enterprise, you're as perfect and efficient in Glasgow as everywhere else in the world I've been. Great little Audi A1 too, no complaints here either.

They have a fancy Mercedes van that seats 7 people comfortably. Only 2 of us in our party so we had plenty of space for souvenirs. Highly recommend this private tour to anyone looking to have a totally customized itinerary or a set scheduled 'must see' itinerary. **Terrible Experience with Sightseeing Hop-On Bus in Glasgow - Avoid at All Costs!**…read more I purchased two 2-day tickets for the Sightseeing Hop-On Bus in Glasgow for August 2-3, 2025, expecting a smooth and enjoyable tour of the city. Instead, I was met with **unprofessionalism, dishonesty, and a complete waste of time and money**. On August 3, I planned to take the **Yellow Route**, but guess what? **The bus never showed up!** There was **no notice, no warning, no apology**--just complete silence from the company. I stood at the **"Celtic" stadium stop** for **over an hour in scorching heat**, waiting for a bus that never arrived. Eventually, I had to **spend extra money on a taxi** just to get to the city centre. Because of this **shocking lack of service**, I **missed out on key tourist attractions** I had planned to visit. I **flew all the way to the UK**, paid for hotels, and invested time and money into this trip, only to have my plans ruined by this **unreliable company**. The **moral distress** of being stranded without explanation is just the icing on the cake. **Save your money and your sanity--DO NOT book with this company!** Zero stars if I could.

Some of the busses got pretty busy and the top floor is half uncovered which was not great while it rained. I was super impressed with the recordings which were clear and very interesting. However, the walk through the university was gorgeous so it ended up being a blessing in disguise.

Well it's kind of a mess right now as it's going through some major renovations. From what I've heard is things are being removed and replaced. Hopefully by the next time I've visited, it should be complete. The nice thing about this area, everything is all walking distance from each other. You can start off at a pub, move over to next. Get some shipping done, grab a meal and finish off at another pub. So many good restaurants that's all nearby. Both quick and easy places and sit down dining. Even loads of more upscale bars and restaurants. Just popping into different places and seeing what's there is really great. Major plus, with the train station ending there, it sure brings in loads of people. Daily and especially during the weekend.

This train station connects Glasgow with regional destinations such as Edinburgh and Inverness. It…read moreseems to serve as the secondary station behind Glasgow Central for the city. Queen Street's city-centre location is convenient as the two stations are geographically not far apart. It's a busy station most parts of the day every day as it's a hub for both routine and getaway travel. It's very close to several businesses and institutions (U of Strathclyde, Glasgow City Offices, etc.) making it a convenient commuting hub. Weekend getaways to the Highlands would begin here as well. The station saw 14 million-plus travelers in 2024, being fiercely taxed by revenge travel from COVID which saw only about 2 million travelers pass through in 2020/2021. I would not be surprised if the station caught up this year to the 16 million-plus travelers it saw in 2019 pre-COVID. It's the third busiest station in Scotland. The station, although it has been in operation almost two centuries since 1842, actually has a very modern, up-to-date feel thanks to recent renovations completed in October, 2021. The attractive facade on George St. is actually quite impressive and the spacious feel of the main terminal is quite nice. The amenities are plentiful enough if you want a coffee or a snack to take on the train (or while you await your train or the passenger you're meeting). The signage is reasonably decent allowing the novice the ability to navigate. We found its usage to get to Balloch and ultimately also to Inverness to be rather easy.

That could not be further from the truth. The rooms in the adjacent apartment like building are all modern and updated with AC and heat, tv and a dining type room next to the toilet, they're huge. Some of the best hotels you'll find in Europe in my opinion. Stayed here once when I was waiting to move into my uni accommodation. Also, when I was graduating from Glasgow uni my mum stayed here. That experience was a bit worse as the lady who was working at the time was quite nasty. My mum was under the impression her breakfast was included with her booking, but apparently she was misinformed by a booking.com employee. So please make sure you read up on things like that before checking in.

There are beautiful views all the way along, whether you look across the lovely waters of the Firth of Clyde to the island of Cumbrae and beyond, or back towards the town with its imposing tall red sandstone churches, the famous 'Art Deco' Nardini Cafe and Restaurant, or the attractive black and white Cal-Mac ferries moored at the pier. There are many benches where you can sit on a nice day, with flower beds behind. In the summer months, you'll find lots of seaside entertainment for children, including candy-floss stalls, bouncy castles, merry-go-rounds and the like. The promenade was damaged in last winter's storms but, when I was there a few days ago, I noticed that most of the length has been repaired and it's almost restored to its former glory. The seats were very comfortable and there was a complimentary charging station in the seats near the window. My tour group was small (10 people in total) and they are all friendly and nice! In my tour, it rained most of the trip, but the driver Chris was very strategic and re-arranged the itinerary to ensure we had the best possible experience at every stop we made.
